First of all, i just wanted to thank everyone that came out last night to the show. your support really means a lot. i thought it would be good to let everyone know what's going on with ours to alibi.
1. we're writing new songs. it's been over a year since we released Beacons last februrary so it's about time. We've added two brand new songs to our live set so make sure you come and check them out at one of our shows. With Tanner (3rd guitarist) leaving the band a few months ago, we've decided to add something we haven't done in a while: vocals. Don't worry, we won't become a pop/punk band, and our sound will not be comprimised. we're spending a lot of time on the melodies of the vocals so it won't be just a ton of lyrics forced into the song--picture it as another instrument except with words.
2. New shirts coming soon. Printed on American Apparel and professionally designed, this new merch will very high quality. keep an eye out for it in 2 to 3 weeks.
3. New Band Showcase at Cornerstone Festival 2008. We're trying to make to cornerstone this year. Top 10 in online votes makes it and they pick another 6 bands. please go and vote for us at "cornerstonefestival.com". It's quick and easy. (for more detailed instructions view our profile).
that's about it for now. thank you to all those that still support us, we love you very much.

Thanks to our good friend Tsunehiro Sato at Friend of Mine Records in Japan, we have been placed on their most recent compilation album titled, [Speak For...]. There are other great bands on there such as, Giants, IO, fago.sepia, 8m, and much more! If you can find this please go out and get it. Also, everyone keep your ear to the ground because we have some awesome new stuff coming your way.

hello everyone, well it seems as if we've had somewhat of a hiatus the last few months. after we went on tour in february for a whole month some of us got a little burnt out. needless to say, we haven't accomplished much since then. However, today marks a turning point, excitement is in air--excitement about new things to come--hope. i've heard a lot of rumors about us breaking up, well we're not.
things that are new: -our myspace finally got the attention it's long been deprived of -live video of us playing beacons -we're currently working on some new songs -put up beacons on our list of songs. we had to devide it up into two songs because myspace doesn't alow 15min songs for some reason. -we're planning to tour again in spring/summer 2008 -shirts will be added to the store very soon -and probably a lot more stuff
anyway, we just would like to say thank you to everyone that has supported us even in our darkest times. you should probably add our myspace as your homepage because we got some great new things coming up.
much love, Ours to Alibi

These roots are anchors 3. ...and then we all made kites 4. From the depths, I cry out 5. Beacons 6. It means everything and nothing 7. Hello Friends,
So, lately we've been doing a lot of talking. Talking about touring. Which is something we've all wanted to do for quite some time. And now we're starting to make plans to tour at the begining of next year. The only problem being that we don't have a van. This puts an extreme damper on the planning process. We can book for a tour as much as we like, but if we have nothing to tour in, the booking is futile. So we need your help. If anybody, knows anyone, who has a van that they would be willing to let go very inexpensively, please let us know. We would also be able to work out a sort of "manual/slave labor" agreement with anyone willing to give us a van. i.e.(yard work, painting, foot massages, paid-assasinations, or pretty much anything else you can think of). Having said all this, just know that we love you all and we would greatly appreciate any help finding a van. If you know anything, send us a message simply entitled "van", and we will probably read it and respond immediately. Once again, we love you, very much.

Hey Guys! We recently got back from our 5 day tour, and it was so amazing. Tanner and Danny have committed to the band full time now, and everyone is meshing together wonderfully. If you haven't heard us with the new member line up, you should definitely come and check it out. We're taking a few weeks off right now from playing shows because our drummer Matt is soon to be a father any day now. We will still be writing some new songs, so make sure to show up to see us come back in October. We'll be competing in a three round battle of the bands in October through December (if we make it to the finals) in Columbus, so wish us luck! We recently decided to go ahead and sell our new CD, "The Kite EP" so make sure to check that out. We didn't have enough money to press it however, so it's pretty much just a burnt CD for $5. We put three new songs on our myspace, all of which are on the CD. We plan to re-record these songs and a few more in a few months and press a full length that looks all pretty and everything. We have also started to plan out decent tour for the up coming new year. We hope to play in your town!
We love each and every one of you! Corban & Ours to Alibi

Whats up guys we're sorry for our lack of blogs recently. Alot has been going on as of late that we feel like we need to share with you guys. Justin has recently quit the band to pursue other work. we are very happy for him and wish him the best in the future. He left on good terms and most importantly we all still have our friendships with him. justin we love you! Danny Brewer another local musician has been filling in for him and will soon make his decision about committing his time to play with us permanantly. Tanner Merritt has also been playing with us recently on a third guitar. With the new line up our stuff has been changing for the better, even the old stuff. We are currently writing new material and will probably be releasing another full length in the upcoming months instead of an ep.
We are working on getting some new merch so be on the lookout for all of that.
We are preparing for a little 6 day "vacation" where we will be playing a couple different states...so if your in the area make sure you come and check out the new line-up.
If anything remains we are still struggling to pursue with all of our hearts. We have seen alot of encouragement lately and its been very relaxing. Thank you guys again for helping us live our dream. thank for your time and thank you so much for listening!

So alot has been going on with us over the past few weeks. We are getting ready to order new merch, pulling together everything to release the new cd and taking alittle time off to think some things over.
We are sad to say that we are cancelling all of our July tour. It was a very hard to decision to make but alot has happened over the past few weeks. Affordability is a big part of it. We all have alot of personal responsibilities that require more financialy than we can handle if we were to hit the road right now, Ryans grandmother is very ill, Matt is about to become a father, Justin has a wife to provide for and some of us are in debt. Its just all alot of things that hit us all at once. We are currently trying to salvage as much as we can of the August dates, but we had to cancel up until Florida. We deeply apologize to anyone that was planning on coming to see us in July, we will do our best to make it out to your city in the future.
There will be more news on this topic and a few more things within the next couple weeks. For now, just keep us in mind and prayer.
