Current mood:  peaceful
Category: Music
1. Thought Chamber - Angular Perceptions
2. Darkwater - Calling the Earth to Witness
3. Circus Maximus - Isolate
4. Symphony X - Paradise Lost
5. Dream Theater - Systematic Chaos
6. Redemption - Origins of Ruin
7. Ted Leonard - Way Home
8. Pathosray - S/T
9. Kamelot - Ghost Opera
10. Threshold - Dead Reckoning

I haven't heard the new Riverside or Sieges Even, but from what I've heard about them, they'd likely be added to this list.

I did hear the Porcupine Tree and liked it for the most part, but I never really found myself dying to hear it, so I have a hard time adding it to a top list. For that matter, even the Threshold is a bit on the edge of not making the list.

I have to listen to the Pagan's Mind some more, but it didn't catch on with me yet.

I've never been much of a Kamelot fan, but found Ghost Opera to be quite enjoyable. I thought Black Halo had some good moments too, but not as a whole.

Pathosray took a couple of months to catch on because the mix/mastering drives my ears nuts, but after I finally got over the sound quality of the disk, I found that I really enjoy the songs. I'd love to hear it remixed and remastered though. Talk about pushing everything up WAY too much -- especially the cymbals!

Wow!  I just realized that I haven't updated this blog in a LONG time and it is WAY outdated!  I don't really have time to do a complete update at this very moment, but I felt I had to at least pull the old information out since tis is suppose to be more of current events.

I hope to update very soon once I have some more time, but we'll just have to wait for now.

OK, I have some practicing to get to!

Current mood:  cheerful

If you haven't figured out by now, music is a HUGE part of my life.  As such, I actually am crazy/weird enough to think about my favorite albums and which of those I'd HAVE to have with me on a deserted island!

So here is my top 10:

1. Dream Theater - Images and Words
2. Symphony X - The Odyssey (or maybe Twilight in Olympus)
3. Rush - Hemispheres
4. Enchant - Blueprint of the World
5. Fates Warning - Perfect Symmetry
6. Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element Pt. 1
7. Evergrey - In Search of Truth
8. Dream Theater - Awake
9. Queensryche - The Warning
10. Rush - Permanent Waves

So that's where it stands today.  Comments?  Your top 10?
