PROYECTO CRISIS - "made in Chile"   (CD)  (DSBP)  ($12.00)

Proyecto Crisis was made up in Santiago de Chile where the hatred, power
abuse and death are just round the corner; this made Felipe Alarcn to
create a musical project influenced by such reality.
 In 2004, with the technology and  digitalization of the world, Felipe
decided to break with his soloist project and joined a vocalist who would
represent the strength and attitude of the band, being such time when
Mariano Lopez gets on stage.
After this union, they begin to write and create together, experiencing
harder sounds of EBM and Dark Electro.
With influences such as , Das Ich, Nitzer Ebb and Suicide Commando,
they create a perfect fusion until obtaining an
acid voice and a shuddering sound making them unique within the
Chilean movement.

This debut CD presents ultra fast paced Harsh EBM with Spanish vocals,
frantic synths, thick sequences, club beats, and a modern sound.
18 tracks fill the disc to the brim with a bonus remix EP from
LA-X ,Die Braut, Say Just Words, Menschdefekt, Destruction Blitzkrieg...

 Bands such as HOCICO (when they were more fast paced), AMDUSCIA,
PUNTO OMEGA, and TAMTRUM come to mind when listening to this,
but PROYECTO CRISIS have captured their own distinct take on this
style after a short while.

Proyecto crisis intends to express the irregularities of the Chilean
society and the world, showing and expressing the constant crisis in
which we are living,blinded by the reigning capitalism of this country.

Hope all is well! its been awhile since we did a proper
NEWS UPDATE, so I figured its time to get it on!

2009 is here and we have some killer new music
to get out there as well as bringing back some
of the older titles that are still kicking for us, but
may have been missed by the newer generation of Harsh EBM/
Industrial music listeners...

We are taking the first month or so of 2009 to focus on
last years releases as we had some slow times for a bit,
and its definately a lot harder in a falling economy and a
growing desire to downloading (legal and illegal)instead of CD's...

But in February we plan on releasing a phenomonal new
CD from Chile's PROYECTO CRISIS!!!
This debut CD is total fast, furious and harsh EBM,
with killer arrangements, sick vocals, and also features
Spanish lyrics all the way through.
This has a powerful,crystal clear sound that will kick
some asses!!
Fans of HOCICO, especially the older stuff, along with
the newer realm of Harsh EBM bands from South America
will really dig on this adrenalized attack!

We also have some dark and ominous Harsh electro from
INFRA BLACK coming soon which will remind you of a cross
of YelworC and Oldschool Suicide Commando with tons
of fucked up and more obscure movie samples to enjoy!

New albums in the works from ANGELS ON ACID, DERMA-TEK,
DIVERJE and others for 2009...
We also plan on doing some specialty releases as we did last year,
some LIMITED EDITION PRESSINGS, and we'll even personalize them more
with FREE DOWNLOAD ALBUMS/EPS to accompany each release, and
we'll be doing our best to satisfy the demand for downloads
with having all our older stuff and out of print stuff on
itunes, eMusic, Rhapsody and all the other places you go to.

 We just want to keep it going here, and get people familiar with
the many releases we have been putting out over the years.
92 releases is a decent amount, so we want to expose people
to those they have missed, and we'll have our new bands giving
you bonus EP's on the full length CD's as well, and giving
you so much more for your hard earned buck.

 DSBP RECORDS is also open to work with new people who want
to REP, Street team, and spread the word for us, as well
as getting their own band in on the action for distro and
we will help bands self release their stuff if they need that
kind of assistance, as always, and we will be doing RADIO PROMOTIONS
as well as CLUB PROMOTIONS for them and others as well.

 2008 was a pretty good year, till the end really when the economy
collapsed, but here is what we released and had a great time doing
so last year...

we want to do all we can to work with you and our supporters to keep
improving the label, and keep it alive and "with the times"
as hard as it may be to let go of our preferred format, the CD..
..we will always try to do CD's in some amount, as well
as all the downloads the listeners demand...
Pressings get smaller but it doesn't mean the music will stop!

goddamn..its like peoples life depends on their phones these days..its crazy..I feel like I am in the movie "invasion of the body snatchers"....I am one of the few left without one and if I don't get one they will attack!! its like a rite of passage now..and those little crappy screens people watch shit on, and take pics with..pathetic!!!! I am so lost in what is such a big deal about it all???
cause I never understood what was soooo coooool about phones....why spend all your cash, and time on these things..?? I know I get sick of being on the phone anyways...so I don't need one, and guess what..I can still survive without a cellphone!! I notice how rude people are too others these days in person cause they are always on their phones...its all we see on TV too ...all these corporations fighting back and forth about which phone company is the best, and that fucking Chad dude I want to kill!! splatter his brains and stupid hair all over the fucking walls!!! seriously....stupid!!!
it just seems that all people are concerned with these days is their cellphone, ipod, downloads and gaming....really disappointing to those of us making music, releasing music and trying to go ahead and promote others and have a career of some kind...its all lame...thats where all the $$ has gone...to the corporations and brainwashers telling everyone they need the coolest phone and ipods...

It has been over a year since the hugely successful "STITCHED" album

Remember how the digital music revolution was supposed to tip the balance away from big record companies, and towards the people who actually create the music? A vignette being played out behind closed doors suggests that digital music companies are only too keen to ally with Big Music when it comes to screwing creators.

At issue is the revenue split between composition and sound recording royalties. Typically, this has heavily favoured the owners of sound recordings by about 85:15, 90:10, or more - a number which astonishes outsiders. Why isn't closer to 50:50?

Well, the record companies argued, with large investments needed to create and manufacture the recording, and few outlets for promotion and retail, the music wouldn't get sold without the major label muscle. In other words, the revenue split simply reflected the the dominance of production, distribution and marketing in a world of physical goods. Songwriters, composers and publishers would have to be satisfied with the crumbs that were left.

Fast forward to the Brave New World, and you may expect to see the creator's value proportionately increase. Alas, the digital music companies are doing little to redress the balance - even though they can afford to. According to Fortune magazine, Apple threatened to close down its iTunes Music Store if the composer's share rose from nine cents per song to 15 cents per song. The threat was made in a submission to the US Copyright Royalty Board, the arbitrator which sets the rate for statutory licences.

Apple and the Digital Music Association had wanted to screw composers even harder: pushing for a reduction in the rate to 4.8 cents per track, or six per cent of "applicable revenues". Since Apple barely makes a profit on its iTunes store, that would be six per cent of bugger all being returned to the people who actually make the music.

Cheering them on are the major record labels.

"The record companies are in no mood to pay the proposed royalty increase out of their pockets," Fortune's Devin Leonard notes. They've pushed for a rate of eight per cent of wholesale revenues of music sales.

Instead of creating a new settlement, the digital music companies are riding a wave of antipathy towards the music business to do what big record labels have traditionally done: diddle the creators out of a fair share of the value created by music. The new boss looks very much like the old boss, as we've noted here many times before.

But they couldn't have done this without the "Boycott the RIAA" crowd, characterised by their dumb inability to distinguish between majors and indies, and composers and record companies. Such sloppy thinking is endemic, and means that any economic activity around music is met with jeers.

This not only helps prop up a lot of non-viable new digital companies that don't have a prayer, and wouldn't even if they paid their main suppliers zero, as the Web 2.0 wish. But more importantly, it validates decades of music business inequity.

"See?" the major record companies can now say. "To survive in this business, you should pay the songwriters as little as you can. That's what we've said all along!"

The Freetards are proving to be the best friend a dying business model could ever have. As an exercise in joined-up thinking, this is one epic Fail. ®

Its all about AWARENESS!! and we are always trying to keep our friends and fans aware here about what is happening and how the corporations have more control over the music than ever before...and its only the listeners and supporters of the corporates that keep this happening..I mean wow!! its pretty fucking basic...

who would you prefer to support? the rich, overly corporate, expensive yet overly advertised companies?
or the "hard working, personalized,struggling smaller businesses, that need and appreciate your support and don't treat you like "just another number"
