Ok, so never in my wildest dreams could I imagine the turnout, love, support and money I got Friday night for my birthday and benefit show.   When I found out that the show had been moved from IP's to Copa, the day of, I was really worried.

My main objective was to raise awareness.  Those that know me closely know what I face daily, I've just never made it apart of my drag life because I don't seek attention from having it.  I still don't.  This year my main goal was to do something, anything, to raise awareness for this chronic illness, that I happen to have.  I couldn't do it on my own and I knew that Jaxom had a better chance at getting alot of people in one room. 

After that the next goal was the money. I'm not gunna lie.  Awarness is great, but that alone will not cure this.  As of right now I have raised close to $550 for this goal.  I can't believe that still.  Not only that, I still have offers of donations coming in from those that had to miss the show!!

I seriously can not thank those that helped out that night, performed, worked at the bar and most importantly those that showed up and put their money where their mouth is and gave donations, tips or bought tickets for the 50/50 drawing.  Every little thing helped make for a huge sucess.

Ironicly enough I had bigger plans but had been sick off and on the last few month or so w/ different things from my Crohn's and ran out of time.  Next year I have hopes and plans to do this again and want to make it bigger and better!!

Thank you to those who nominated me and voted for me in the Tri State Awards.  I really was honored to just have someone nominate me, but actually winning Best Male Illusion left me speechless.  I didn't have the time or correct frame of mind to thank everyone that night, I'd like to do so now.

Those that know me personally know that I go through alot in my life and that doing this is something that means everything to me and keeps me going.  To be voted on by my friends and peers means the world to me.  To hear the crowd scream my name before I'd even won was just as special as actually winning that trophy.

Thank you to those that were there for me in the begining and didn't laugh at the silly little lesbian that wanted to dance in boys clothes. 

Aurora Stone and Sasha Moore, you two helped me get on that stage and have had faith in me from the very begining.  Without your personal support Jaxom would still just be a dream.

Maurice Carter, thank you for putting your money where your mouth is and for helping me get the respect I deserve.

Melissa and DV8, thank you for taking a chance on an King you didn't know, just based on a few pics on a myspace account.  You both put me back on the stage that I love and gave me a new confidence I needed at a stressful part of my life.

Ryder Strong, you continually show me love and respect when others don't.  You highly deserve your title of Best Show Director in the Tri States.  No one looks after their guest and entertainers like you.

Leah and Kyle you both helped give Jaxom a makeover fit for a king and the confidence to wear it all with pride and my head held high.  Leah you also keep making me look good with all your amazing promo work and with hand designing my myspace over night, all night till it was perfect.  Your continued support backstage and off keeps me going.  You are my 'Have Fun' charm and always will be.

Adrian, we have been through the most in the shortest amount of time.  No one could of made me believe that we'd be here today just a few months ago.  To see you continue to grow and take pride in the Summers name makes me prouder than you will know.  You will outshine me one day and I will sit on the sidelines and cheer you on the loudest.  Congrats on your win as well, you have worked hard and deserve it.

To all my fans.  To hear people scream for me and yell my name gives me such a rush to continue to dream big and shoot for the stars.  I hope I continue to entertain at this level for a long time to come.

Lately, in some circles, there have been alot of threats thrown about.  These threats have actually not been made to me, but highly affect me if carried out.

Personally I find the whole situation sad.  I find it sad that anyone would do such a thing in our community and not embrace growth and a widening culture that we so need and deserve. 

Business wise, I can see why it could be thought of.  I also think it shows that you are not confident in your business if you are worried so badly about one night in one month.  But I also don't think this is just a business based move and that to me makes it worse.

Yes I am going to be very general about this because to me it's still a rumor because I personally have not been given the information from said party. I will not slander a business, even if I am fairly certain from the several sources, that it is true.  I am still going to be fair and level headed and not just blindly blog.

My main point is to say that my main goal for this year is to keep myself out of unwarented drama and stress this year.  Personally for the 'real me' it's not worth the risks.  This means I will not be placing myself into situations that knowingly add stress and drama.  I'm to old for it, and honestly who wants to do that anyway?  No matter if it's personal or business.

If said rumor is true, my booking calender will not change.  If forced to choose venues, I choose the one that never asked me to choose to begin with, never would, and has backed me professionally and personally more than I could ask for.
