Yes People,

Firstly, happy new year to all of you we haven't caught up with yet this year...hope you had a great celebration whether you were out at an event or just chilling with your loved ones!

So to kick things off for 2009 tonight on BBC Radio 1...the much-anticipated follow up to "Kaliyuga" is receiving it's debut radio play:

This track is called "Introspector" and comes directly out of the C22 studios produced by Engine-EarZ and DJ Luxy...We would love to hear what you think!

Both tracks will be released online and on vinyl mid-February on Catch 22 Music and will be hitting the other electronic music shows on radio from next week (Bobby and Nihal usually have first dibs over anything indian-influenced we do ;)

If you miss tonight's broadcast you can always listen back online:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio..1/bobbyandnihal/

Much love once again to everyone that supported the Kaliyuga track and pushed for the massive support it has already achieved on radio...we have recently uploaded this track to our myspace if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

This is one of the many releases coming from our brand new label so keep your eyes peeled for the brand new Deadly Hunta tracks & remixes that will be hitting your ears from all angles in February! We'll be in touch soon with more details about this and the other exciting developments for 2009 ;)

Respect & Vibes

As many of you may already know, this year saw the launch of Aruba Red's self-titled debut album (produced by Prash from Catch 22 Music, your friendly local music production house).

It is an album we are very proud to be involved in not only because of the quality of Aruba Red's melodies and vocals, but also because she has a real message and depth to what she sings about. It's something we feel is more important that ever in these times. On top of this, the list of featured artists and musicians is really quite special!

Since the launch party of the album in September, a tour with Natty and an appearance on Nitin Sawnhey's new "London Undersound" record, things are going from strength to strength for Aruba Red. So much so, that ITunes requested a private show at their London headquarters.

Without being too cheeky, we'd really appreciate it if you would check out the album and buy a track or two if you're feeling the vibes!

Just to give you an idea of how well the album is going down, here are a couple of ITunes reviews to whet your appetite:

"Great Musical Fusion with Many Impressive Musicians & Featured Collaborations" *****

"Aruba Red's debut album is really different to most of the music out there at the moment. The album fuses lots of genres together in a natural & inspiring way. There are also loads of great musicians on the album including international reggae artist Jah Mason (My Princess gone) and Horacio 'El Negro' Hernandez and John Benitez who both have Jazz Grammys. I recommend this album to music lovers who crave a balance between musicality & lyrical content. Aruba Red has both in bounds and I hope this album receives the recognition it deserves" *****

"Groundbreaking" *****

"A must have for anyone that is tired of the pop machine. Let's push things forward!"

Yes people before go i get started i wanna make it clear that, well, I've never written a blog before in my life! So please forgive me if this isnt exactly shakespeare...
Im not sure what you meant to say in these things, so ill start off by saying i have just fixed my Studio computer after a horrendous few days staring vacantly at MS-DOS!! This is great news, as it means i can get back to writing dirty beats!!!! Sweet.

I suppose i should also introduce myself - My name is Prash, although everyone tends to have their own version for some reason! But im going to go with Prash for the purposes of this Blog. I am the producer for Catch 22 Productions, and spend the majority of my time in New World Studios where we work on many different styles of music, but concentrate on writing sick beats and pushing the artists we produce...

So what does this week hold for Catch 22 Productions and the rest of the team? Well first of all the DE-A-CO video should be recieving its debut airplay on TV which we are all hyped about! Can't wait to see it in High Definition, i gotta big up Mark, Elise and Simone from Endelea for an amazing job there. Also, the Deadly Hunta Video to the track "Talk Out Loud" will be on TV next week so we are making preparations for that also...I have a feeling that video is gonna definately grab people's attention!

Aside from that, we gonna working on DE-A-CO's album this week, recording a SICK track by Deadly Hunta called "In the Ghetto!" and i believe Ayesha will be passing through to lay down a couple of tracks. Must definately do some more work on Raresound's tracks this week at some point. While im talking about Raresound, for those of you who dont know, check out an Artist called "Wolfy",  we are mixing a heavy track we wrote with him and Raresound...."Bump and Grime" is the style! Gonna link up with 4-Fingaz and Data at some point to round off the mix on their first collaboration grime track...

I would love to say more right now, but it is 8:15 am in England, and ive been up all night sorting the computer (Hallelujah!!!) so unless any of the rest of the team wanna add something, i'm signing out!

Thanks for reading!

Much Respect,

Prash AKA Engine-EarZ
