[written to a friend who was thinking about attending--I want to inform you all now of what happened to me before you think about going there...]
DO NOT GO TO THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY!!!!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t make the same mistake I did!!
Seriously, don’t. That’s where I was going until I found out that:
A. They’re not accredited!! [BIG no-no--the company that "accredits" them is actually the company that OWNS them--so they accredit themselves, which is bulllllshit]
B. I have a bunch of friends whose family members went there, and now those people CAN’T FIND JOBS because NOBODY will hire them because of the fact that it’s not accredited [it’s actually looked down upon by a lot of people]. Once employers find out that they went to that school, they push those student’s resumes aside for students of other schools.
C. They’re a "for-profit" school, which means that they’ll do anything to get their hands on your money. They were going to charge me $60,000 for two years at their school...and when I told their financial aid people that I had FL bright futures, they said they’d accept 75% of it [I have 100% FL bright futures], because they’re a private school [which is understandable], but when I checked with them a second time, they said that I only had 75% bright futures, so they were only going to accept 75% of 75%......and I told them to update it because the FL bright futures website did and would show them that I had 100%, so they said okay, and they kept saying, "oh, we will, we will..." and never did in the whole 3 months I was there. So they were stealing my money, basically. And also, they make you buy books that NO OTHER SCHOOLS USE, so you can’t find them used, or anywhere else for that matter [I tried to..], and you HAVE to buy them FULL PRICE from THEIR school store--that way they make direct profit from it. They also charge you $400 a credit hour there [which is WAYWAYWAY more than any other school], classes are 4.5 hours long each [which in itself is absurd], and a lot of the time that I was there, they only kept us in class half the time [I later found out that they’re only required to keep you in the class for half of the 4.5 hours, but they still charge you for the full time you were supposed to be in class--I know this because one of my TEACHERS who was planning on quitting told me!] In addition, their teachers are not required to have any kind of degree...at all. Therefore when they teach you stuff, you never know if they’re teaching you all that you should be learning--none of them have teaching degrees. On top of that, NONE of the AP credits that I earned in high school transfer over to there--which means that they were going to make me take college english, math, etc., AGAIN for $400/hour, even though I already took all of them!
So now, I’m $6,500 in debt from only going there 3 months, and because they’re not accredited and their teachers don’t have to be certified in any way, none of the credits I’ve earned there transfer to any other schools, so I have to take all those classes over again. I’m also stuck with this big pile of books that nobody is going to need, so I can’t get my money back for them. [btw, if you wanted to know, the Art Institute is the same thing--they’re run by the same people]
So PLEASE don’t make the same mistake I did--I really don’t want you to get fucked over as badly as I did... <3333

That's right!
I've been writing a few new ones as of late, and once I put the finishing touches on them and record them and all, they'll be up for your listening pleasure....or pain. But then, if you didn't like my music, why would you be my myspace friend? haha
So yes. I don't know if I'm going to be posting something new before I finish the songs, so I just want to say that I hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween--I'm going to a costume party! :]
<3Renae
Oh, and P.S., I have PURPLE HAIR now! My friend Corina did it for me yesterday. It's not ALL purple, but what she did was put blonde highlights in it, then dye all of my hair purple. So the brown looks darker and has a purple tint to it when it's in the sun, and the blonde highlights are very very purple. I think it looks pretty neat. I'll have pictures up soon, so no worries!

SO
I put up a brand new* recording of "What Happened" that I'd like you all to listen to, por favor. The only thing that's different is the vocals [which are stronger, and, I think, better], but I like it. :]
Please tell me what you think! [and if you can't hear the difference, that's fine, just as long as it doesn't sound bad, haha]
*recorded at the same time I did the first version, but I've finally decided I like this alternate version better.
