One last time, blog...
Life At These Speeds has run its course, the band shall play no more. The end has been in sight for some time and though due to no ill occurrence, the moment has passed and the amps are turned off.
We feel as though LATS was a very worthy venture, as evidenced, if by nothing else, than by the length of the list of friends we owe to its existence. A great many thanks are heaped upon each and every one, known and unkown. These sentiments are conveyed with the utmost sincerity and with the hope that we shall meet again in the future.
As always, take great care, Life At These Speeds

Blog, we are back, and Portland has received us each, respectively, in one piece.
Europe, thanks very much. You were hospitable, beautiful and european as ever. Countless...well, numerous individuals could be thanked by name, and that task may yet be undertaken--the numbers are being crunched as this communique is typed--but for now, concepts and highlights:
We went from one driver, to none, and then back to two drivers. For the bulk of the journey we navigated and piloted our vehicle and ourselves through four or five countries, generally only missing a turn or two each day. And when in doubt, of course, follow the age old advice: "go always straight," as we often did. We made note of each and every castle on our route. We slept in a wonderful room not 100 meters from one in Italy. We drank beer. We played kicker/foosball/table football whenever it was available. Some fared better than others (and wreaked havoc upon any who dared stand across the table.) We alternately, and at times, in unison, snored. Some more often than others. We conquered the daily physical challenge. Some more often than others. We drank beer. Some more often than others. We attempted physical motion resembling dancing at least once. We sweated profusely. We drank really good and really bad beer. We ate really good food (at the venues, generally made by wonderful people who help put on the shows...and in Genoa, everywhere we could) and we ate really bad food (at gas stations, generally made by machines of some sort.) We played shows with Germans, Frenchman, French-Canadians, Italians, Romanians, Swedes, Jersey kids and New Yorkers, and probably others. We paid for the use of the toilet, far too often. We made new friends and we spent wonderful evenings with old friends. We took pictures and looked at them right away. We played on at least one playground and some of us nearly killed ourselves. We played dice and won and lost money. Some more than others. We drank beer...and cola, but mostly beer.
We had a good time. Thanks so much to each and every person involved in putting on the shows, feeding us, and putting us up for the night. Your work on our behalf is sincerely appreciated. Thanks also to our friends who came to see us and hang out, and make us feel at home. The next party is in Portland.
All the names have been computed, but forgive us if this transmission in to brief to report them all. More shall follow, surely.
