.... Your Holiness, I hope this letter finds you in good health, in good disposition, and enveloped in the spirit of goodness. I must confess that it had never occurred to me before to write to you, and I find myself overwhelmed and moved to have this opportunity. Although circumstances have compelled me to reach out to you, I am glad to have this occasion to try and cross the boundaries that would otherwise tend to separate us. I understand that the New Jersey State Police have written to you and asked you to intervene and to help facilitate my extradition back to the United States. I believe that their request is unprecedented in history. Since they have refused to make their letter to you public, although they have not hesitated to publicize their request, I am completely uninformed as to the accusations they are making against me. Why, I wonder, do I warrant such attention? What do I represent that is such a threat? Please let me take a moment to tell you about myself. My name is Assata Shakur and I was born and raised in the United States. I am a descendant of Africans who were kidnapped and brought to the Americas as slaves. I spent my early childhood in the racist segregated South. I later moved to the northern part of the country, where I realized that Black people were equally victimized by racism and oppression. I grew up and became a political activist, participating in student struggles, the anti-war movement, and, most of all, in the movement for the liberation of African Americans in the United States. I later joined the Black Panther Party, an organization that was targeted by COINTELPRO, a program that was set up by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to eliminate all political opposition to the U.S. government's policies, to destroy the Black Liberation Movement in the U.S., and to discredit activists and to eliminate potential leaders. As a result of being targeted by COINTELPRO, I, like many other young people, was faced with the threat of prison, underground, exile or death. At this point, I think that it is important to make one thing very clear. I have advocated and still advocate revolutionary changes in the structure and in the principles that govern the U.S. I advocate an end to capitalist exploitation, the abolition of racist policies, the eradication of sexism, and the elimination of political repression. If that is a crime, then I am totally guilty. To make a long story short, ...let me emphasize that justice for me is not the issue, it is justice for my people that is at stake. When my people receive justice, I am sure that I will receive it, too. I know that Your Holiness will reach your own conclusions, but I feel compelled to present the circumstances surrounding the applicatlon of "justice" in New Jersey. I am not the first nor the last person to be victimized by the New Jersey system of "justice." The New Jersey State Police are infamous for their racism and brutallty. Many legal actions have been filed against them and just recently, in a class action legal proceeding, the New Jersey State Police were found guilty of having an "officially sanctioned, de facto policy of targeting minorities for investigation and arrest." Although New Jersey's population is more than 78 percent white, more than 75 percentof the prison population is made up of Blacks and Latinos. Eighty percent of women in New Jersey prisons are women of color. There are 15 people on death row in the state and seven of them are Black. A 1987 study found that New Jersey prosecutors sought the death penalty in 50 percent of cases involving a Black defendant and a white victim, but in only 28 percent of cases involving a Black defendant and a Black victim. Unfortunately, the situation in New Jersey is not unique, but reflects the racism that permeates the entire country. The United States has the highest rate of incarceration in the world. There are more than 1.7 million people in U.S. prisons. This number does not include the more than 500,000 people in city and county jails, nor does it include the alarming number of children in juvenile institutions. The vast majority of those behind bars are people of color and virtually all of those behind bars are poor. The result of this reality is devastating. One third of Black men between the ages of 20 and 29 are either in prison or under the jurisdiction of the criminal justice system. Prisons are big business in the United States, and the building, running, and supplying of prisons has become the fastest growing industry in the country. Factories are being moved into the prisons and prisoners are being forced to work for slave wages. This super-exploitation of human beings has meant the institutionalization of a new form of slavery. Those who cannot find work are forced to work in prison. Not only are prisons being used as instruments of economic exploitation, they also serve as lnstruments of political repression. There are more than 100 political prisoners in the U.S. They are African Americans, Puerto Ricans, Chicanos, Natlve Americans, Asians, and progressive white people who oppose the policies of the United States government. Many of those targeted by the COINTELPRO program have been in prison since the early 1970s. Although the situation in the prisons is an lndication of human rights violations inside the United States, there are other, more deadly indicators. There are currently 3,365 people now on death row, and more than 50 percent of those awaiting death are people of color. Black people make up only 13 percent of the population, but we make up 41 percent of persons who have received the death penalty. The number of state assassinations has increased drastically. In 1997 alone, 71 people were executed. A special reporter assigned by the United Nations organization found serious human rights violations in the U.S., especially those related to the death penalty. According to these findings, people who were mentally ill were sentenced to death, and people with severe mental and learning disabilities, as well as minors under age 18. Serious racial bias was found on the part of judges and prosecutors. Specifically mentioned in the report was the case of Mumia Abu-Jamal, the only political prisoner on death row, who was sentenced to death because of his political beliefs and because of his work as a journalist, exposing police brutality in the city of Philadelphia. Police brutality is a daily occurrence in our communities. The police have a virtual license to kill and they do kill: children, grandmothers, anyone they perceive to be the enemy. They shoot first and ask questions later. Inside the jails and prisons there is at least as much brutality as there was on slave plantations. An ever increasing number of prisoners are found hanging in their cells. The United States is becoming a land more hostile to Black people and other people of Color. Racism is running rampant and xenophobia is on the rise. This has been especially true in the sphere of domestic policy. Politicians are attempting to blame social problems on Black people and other people of color. There have been attacks on essentially all affirmative action programs designed to help correct the accumulated results of hundreds of years of slavery and discrimination. In addition, the government seems determined to eliminate all social programs that provide assistance to the poor, resulting in a situation where millions of people do not have access to basic health care, decent housing or quality education. It was with great happiness that I read the Christmas message that Your Holiness delivered. I applaud you for taking up the cause of the poor, the homeless, the unemployed. The fact that you are addressing the issues of today, unemployment, hopelessness, child abuse, and the drug problem, is important to people all over the world. One third of Black people in the United States live in poverty, and our communities are inundated with drugs. We have every reason to believe that the CIA and other government agencies are involved in drug trafficking. Although we live in one of the richest, most techically advanced countries in the world, our reality is similar to an undeveloped, Third World country. We are a people who are truly seeking freedom and harmony. All my life I have been a spiritual person. I first learned of the struggle and the sacrifice of Jesus in the segregated churches of the South. I converted to Catholicism as a young girl. In my adult life I have become a student of religion and have studied Christianity, Islam, Asian religions and the African religions of my ancestors. I have come to believe that God is universal in nature although called different names and with different faces. I believe that some people spell God with one "O" while others spell it with two. What we call God is unimportant, as long as we do God's work. There are those who want to see God's wrath fall on the oppressed and not on the oppressors.I believe that the time has ended when slavery, colonialism, and oppression can be carried out in the name of religion. It was in the dungeons of prison that I felt the presence of God up close, and it has been my belief in God,and in the goodness of human beings that has helped me to survive. I am not ashamed of having been in prison, and I am certainly not ashamed of having been a political prisoner. I believe that Jesus was a political prisoner who was executed because he fought against the evils of the Roman Empire, because he fought the greed of the money changers in the temple, because he fought against the sins and injustices of his time. As a true child of God, Jesus spoke up for the poor, the meek, the sick, and the oppressed. The early Christians were thrown into lion dens. I will try and follow the example of so many who have stood up in the face of overwhelming oppression. I am not writing to ask you to intercede on my behalf. I ask nothing for myself. I only ask you to examine the social reality of the United States and to speak out against the human rights violations that are taking place. On this day, the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., I am reminded of all those who gave their lives for freedom. Most of the people who five on this planet are still not free. I ask only that you continue to work and pray to end Oppression and political repression. It is my heartfelt belief that all the people on this earth deserve justice: social justice, political justice, and economic justice. I believe it is the only way that we will ever achieve peace and prosperity on earth. I hope that you enjoy your visit to Cuba. This is not a country that is rich in material wealth, but it is a country that is rich in human wealth, spiritual wealth and moral wealth. Respectfully yours, Assata Shakur Havana, Cuba

So many of my sisters are so completely unaware of who the real criminals and dogs are. They blame themselves for being hungry; they hate themselves for surviving the best way they know how, to see so much fear, doubt, hurt, and self hatred is the most painful part of being in this concentration camp. "Anyway, in spite of all, i feel a breeze behind my neck, turning to a hurricane and when i take a deep breath I can smell freedom I have advocated and I still advocate revolutionary change We had to learn that we're beautiful. We had to relearn something forcefully taken from us. We had to learn about Black power. People have power if we unite. We learned the importance of coming together and being active. I realized that I was connected to Africa. I wasn't just a Colored girl. I was part of a whole world that wanted a better life. I'm part of a majority and not a minority. My life has been a life of growth. If you're not growing, you're not going to understand real love. If you're not reaching out to help others then you're shrinking. My life has been active. I'm not a spectator. We knew what a token was then. Today young people don't see Condoleezza Rice or Colin Powell as tokens. That's a problem. So many of my sisters are so completely unaware of who the real criminals and dogs are. They blame themselves for being hungry; they hate themselves for surviving the best way they know how, to see so much fear, doubt, hurt, and self hatred is the most painful part of being in this concentration camp. "Anyway, in spite of all, i feel a breeze behind my neck, turning to a hurricane and when i take a deep breath I can smell freedom It's moods like this that make me aware of how glad i am to be a revolutionary. i know who our enemy is, and i know that me and these swine cannot live peacefully on the same planet. i am a part of a family of field niggas and that is something very precious We are oppressed people in the U.S. and don't even know it. We have fewer opportunities to be doctors and lawyers as tuition increases. Our problem is that we want to belong to a society that wants to oppress us. We want to be the plantation owner. In Cuba, we want to change the plantation to a collective farm I was sentenced to life plus 30 years by an all-White jury. What I saw in prison was wall-to-wall Black flesh in chains. Women caged in cells. But we're the terrorists. It just doesn't make sense." A womans place is in the struggle. Sisters Black people will never be free unless Black women participate in every aspect of the struggle. The more you understand what you're dealing with, the stronger you get. People see fear as a bad thing. Fear is healthy when you're dealing with Amerika. But when fear controls you, when you're afraid to struggle fear is a bad thing. I'm more afraid of what will happen if I don't struggle, than what will happen if I do i Believe In The Fire Of Love And The Sweat Of Truth!. "The U. S. is becoming more hostile to Black people and other people of color. Racism is running rampant and xenophobia is on the rise... " Although we live in one of the richest, most technologically advanced countries in the world, our reality is similar to an underdeveloped Third World country. We are a people who are truly seeking freedom and harmony. Peace is a rare gift. Peace of mind, peaceful sleeps, and peaceful spirits are all luxuries that Few rebels can ever afford. If you're deaf, dumb, and blind to what's happening in the world, you're under no obligation to do anything. But if you know what's happening and you don't do anything but sit on your ass, then you're nothing but a punk" When you go through all your life processing and abusing your hair so it will look like the hair of another race of people then you are making a statement and the statement is clear. I have declared war on the rich who prosper on our poverty, the politicians who lie to us with smiling faces and all the mindless, heartless robots who protect them and their property. I am a Black revolutionary, and, as such, I am a victim of all the wrath, hatred and slander that Amerika is capable of. Like all other Black revolutionaries, Amerika is trying to lynch me. "Nobody in the world, nobody in history, has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the moral sense of the people who were oppressing them." They call us bandits, yet every time most Black people pick up our paychecks, we are being robbed. Every time we walk into a store in our neighborhood, we are being held up. And every time we pay our rent, the landlord sticks a gun into our ribs. "I was like Houdini, I plotted day and night. There was no way I was going to spend the rest of my life in prison for something I didn't do." "How dare they call us terrorists when we were being terrorized? Terror was a constant part of my life....We lived under police terror." This is a brand new century and we need a brand new spirit and a brand new style. I make a special appeal to young people. I am not only asking you to work hard to free all Political Prisoners, I am asking you to party hard to free all Political Prisoners. I am asking you to raise your voices wherever you go and to chant, to rap, to sing for the liberation of Sundiata Acoli and all Political Prisoners. I am asking you to bring the spirit of freedom to discos, to nightclubs, to house parties, wherever young people gather. While you are partying and having fun, I ask you to think of political prisoners, and when you're getting down to the music I ask you to chant his or her name. I want you to chant Free Sundiata, I want you to chant Free Mumia, Free Leonard Peltier, and so on. I want you to chant the names of every Political Prisoner still behind the walls. "No movement can survive unless it is constantly growing and changing with the times. If it isn't growing, it's stagnant, and without the support of the people, no movement for liberation can exist, no matter how correct its analysis of the situation is. That's why political work and organising are so important. Unless you are addressing the issues people are concerned about and contributing positive direction, they'll never support you. The first thing the enemy tries to do is isolate revolutionaries from the masses of people, making us horrible and hideous monsters so that our people will hate us" "Only a fool lets somebody else tell him who his enemy is....never let your enemies choose your enemies for you." "Throughout my childhood, the name Freeman had no particular significance. It was a name just like any other name. It wasn't until i was grown and began to read Black history that i discovered the significance of the name. After slavery, many Black people refused to use the last names of their masters. They called themselves 'Freeman' instead. The name was also used by Africans who were freed before slavery was 'officially' abolished, but it was mainly after the abolition of chattel slavery that many Black people changed their names to Freeman. After learning this, i saw my ancestors in a new light." "Our desire to be free has got to manifest itself in everything we are and do." Assata Shakur

READY 4 THE REVOLUTION!!! KneeGrow Please!! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/peoplesarmy/message/1 From: "The Riot Starter" Date: Sat Nov 26, 2005 4:02 am Subject: READY 4 THE REVOLUTION!!!
Uhuru Fam,
Hope all is well. This is the new FTP list-serve (which will provide different info than
our POCC list). If you have been asked to Coordinate The FTP Movement in your area
and you have not been activated yet, contact me @ therawintellect@...
This list serve will be used to keep everyone updated on what's happening in the
different Areas, meetings, warrior retreats, etc.
We are also looking to put together a movement newsletter, any volunteers???
Remember, FTP is a collective movement working to galvanize and organize
members and/or non-members of African/Colonized organizations to points of
unified thoughts and action for the liberation and self-determination of our people.
Everybody is doing their thing in different areas, now its time to roll with force!
I am on the road right now, but I have e-mail access.
Dare 2 Struggle, Dare 2 Win,
Kalonji The following is a list of some upcoming programs that will be implemented:
PARTIAL 2006 PROGRAM AGENDA
SIAFU YOUTH CORPS (SYC) Siafu Youth Corps is an African Military Rites of Passage program designed to teach our young brothers and sisters about African culture, history, self-defense, military drill, discipline, and survival. The purpose of SYC is to continue and maintain the spirit of resistance and to develop the minds of our youth in the morals, principles, concepts and fortitude of nationhood.
The Truth: This doesnt exist.
UHURU GROUNDS When we talk about the Uhuru Grounds we start off with a quote from one of our greatest teachers, Malcolm X-"Land is the basis of Independence". We are clear that we must fight to reclaim our land, but until we free the land we need a place where we can work towards our de-colonization process. If we know that there will be a time when the grocery stores will be shut down, why not have our own land for food, clothing and shelter? At present, the FTP Movement is working on a 3-year economic program to purchase and develop 20 acres of land in Central Georgia. The Uhuru Grounds will function as sovereign territory to provide communal living and a foundation to build co-ops to nurture Sisters and Brothers in the inner cities.
The Truth: The FTP Movement isnt working on any of this, this is pure rhetoric. Comrade Sundiata Acoli spoke of this type of error, when he spoke about "Rhetoric outstripping the capabilities."
LIBERATION SCHOOLS We understand that the imperialist power structure's public school system has been created not for the purpose of education, but for indoctrination and stultification. As stated by the Ancestors, "If they won't treat you right, what makes you think they will teach you right"? In the spirit of Kujichagulia (Self Determination) we have begun to produce our own liberation schools in several locations.
The Truth: No work has "begun" on any of these concepts in Atlanta, its simple ask "Show and Prove" in addition this poser doesn't even know "NGUZO SABA with out a script!!
SIAFU DRUM NEWSPAPER We are pleased to announce the birth of the Siafu's Drum newspaper. This Black owned and operated newspaper will be a tool utilized in empowering and uniting our community by not only informing our people with critical information, but also promoting our organizations and businesses in the spirit of self-determination, communalism, and economic empowerment. The duality of the Siafu and Drum are meaningful symbols. Siafu's are ants from Eastern Africa who have been known to strip water buffalos and kill elephants. The Siafu is virtually powerless alone but as a team they are unstoppable. The drum is a symbol of culture, harmony, and communication. The combination of the two represents the strength and validity of the newspaper. We project 10,000 newspapers in our first run, which will be distributed throughout the streets of America and abroad.
The Truth: Not only is the language above the TTDCs, but TTDC came up with the idea of this newspaper. We had it in place before any interaction with Nigel Brown. In efforts to help collect moneys to start the paper Nigel Brown was absolutely against going into the streets and fundraising. The Talking Drum Collective Newsletter which is distributed widely via the internet is the parent of the Siafu "Drum" Newspaper and this efforts current editor is Nia Mashanini out of Louisville, Ky. Nigel Brown is wasting energy attempting to claim this as if he has something to do with it, here check it http://www.siafudrum.com
FTP PROPAGANDA UNIT In an effort to "popularize" the movement amongst the masses we have created new improved forms of propaganda. Look out for our Revolutionary Street Teams distributing the new full colored post cards, posters, newspapers, music and DVD's in a hood near you.
The Truth: If you are going to be on the look out dont waste your energy for this isnt going to happen? Furthermore during Nigel Browns short stay in Atlanta wasnt among the people at all he lived, with someone else, way outside of the African community and was commonly asked, You live way out there, you trying to hide from someone? Not only did Nigel Brown live away from the African community but when he went out into the community for propaganda, which was only a small amount of times, he disrespected and argued with Our People and could not find any points of unity with them.
SURVIVAL PROGRAMS Partially due to the success of the Feed The People program and the Community Clothing Campaign in Rap Brown Georgia, the survival programs have spread like wildfire. In the last year, we have fed over 22,000 Sistahs and Brothas in Atlanta alone. Our latest Feed The People program was successfully launched in Los Angeles on October 23, 2005.
The Truth: no more than 5,000 of our People were served by the food program here in Atlanta over a 1 year period, I should know I was there, I purchased most of the items myself out of pocket. This program was originally started by Sister Malika who is an activist poet, she was part of the Blacklion Collective of poets here in Atlanta we (FTP Movement) joined their efforts and 2 months later Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa had a fall out with the event promoter at the Blacklion cafe so we moved our efforts to the Royal Peacock this is about December 2004 at this time we decided to have our own Feed The People Program. The Blacklion Poets continued to Feed the People and still do as I type this, we created the FTP Movement as a umbrella group to join the efforts of the many organizations here in Atlanta this is the list of who rallied under this umbrella Uhuru Movement, Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, POCC, The Talking Drum Collective, New Order, N.Cobra, New Black Panther Party, All African People's Revolutionary Party and many more, this formation (http://www.ftpmovement.com) is a leaderless organization, meaning no coordinators everyone played their position and nothing more, for all involved had to belong to an organization before getting involved in the first place. All of the organizations listed above withdrew there support from the food program because of Nigels disrespectful attitude towards freedom fighting organizations. Nigel's attempts @ hi-jacking this effort was silly and deceitful at best, this is why he isnt doing anything here in Atlanta, the community been peeped his game and shut it down!, so he is now off to greener pastures hollaring Uhuru, FTP, RBG, As-Salaamu Alaikum, and Lets Get Free, Im surprised he isnt claiming Uhuru, Nappy or Native as his concepts, its that serious.
During a flood the raft is a life-saving device, but it is only a means of getting to higher ground. So too, with survival programs, which are emergency services, in themselves they do not change social conditions, but they are life-saving vehicles until conditions change. - Minister Huey P. Newton
FTP MOVEMENT *Atlanta *Baltimore *Columbia *New York *Boston *Charlotte *Los Angeles *Oakland *Jacksonville *Houston *Greenville (SC) *Tucson *Bridgeport (CT) *Toronto *Paris *Barcelona
The Truth: *Atlanta is now on hold, due to the attempted take over of the FTP Movement, and the anti-African actions of Nigel, *Columbia never existed, Jacksonville never existed, Toronto never existed, Paris never existed, Barcelona never existed and with the exception of Los Angeles all the other locations listed are questionable , we as a People must learn from the past mistakes in order to move forward, we must not allow our rhetoric to outstrip our capabilities if we are unable to be honest with our People, how in the hell can we serve them lies and deceit? Were sharing this with you now in the hopes that you will not become alienated by the lack of movement and deception.
It is also our hope that we @ http://www.FTPMovement.com can assist the efforts in metro LA by providing supporters, resources, and forging links to enable that effort to expand all over Cali.
We continue to Feed The People here in Atlanta and join hands with forces in Zimbabwe with or without Nigel Brown, we urge yall in LA to continue on regardless and we give a BIG ASANTE SANA and FTP4LIFE for what yall have accomplished so far.
Footnote: Most of Nigels statement is straight up biting, as Poets Im sure you can relate to that! "FTP Movement is against capitalism, imperialism, and all other by products of global white supremacy. We work towards communalism (African scientific socialism) and nation building. "FTP Movement" FTP is not one of those "deep" movements or organization that waste time rappin, jawjapping and not producing any action." Ask Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa; "Hey Brother Kalonji what is scientific Socialism?" and, What happen to the food program in Atlanta? then check his response, the truth knows no bounds. Yours In Uhuru!!!

NO SNITCHING The Police, Capitalism, the State etc. are an enemy to the people and to work with them is criminal, Ancestral Treason! Loose lips sink ships, snitching is unforgivable. NO RAPE To Rape is a violation of a persons physical, mental, and spirit. It is Barbaric and anti-African. Rapist should be dealt with. BANG FOR UHURU (FREEDOM) Warriors can only be initiated by an enemy. If you are going to bang-bang on the system, not other Africans. NO EXPLOITATION Don't exploit your people. You live in the hood, they live in the hood and chances are they don't have anything more than you do. We have enough community leaches and pork chop preachers robbing the people. WARRIOR CODE Security first! Protect Women, Children, & Elders. Train; work out get your fighting skills up to par. Police your own community. We don't need pigs overseeing us. NO FALSE FLAGGIN' Red, white, and blue ain't never did shit for you. Don't be a star-spangled slave. Get on the right team; rally round the flag on some Red, Black, and Green. DISCIPLINE Get your mind right, focus and organize your life. Be committed. BUILD SURVIVAL PROGRAMS The People come first. You are your Brother/Sisters keeper. Capitalism teaches individualism, which is anti-African. We have to create programs that are for the best interest of the people (especially Food, Clothing and Shelter). P.E. (POLITICAL EDUCATION) EACH 1 TEACH 1! It is important for African People to have knowldge of self. We have to be able to articulate why we are in the conditions we are in, who put us in these conditions and how can we get out of these conditions. YOUR WORD IS BOND (DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR) Warriors are only as good as their words. Make your word your bond!

Kalonji Jama Changa - Black Cop?
THE TALKING DRUM COLLECTIVE'S OFFICIAL STATEMENT: www.thedrum.org Regarding the events on 12/20/05 ***Distrubute Widely*** Click Here: The Atlanta Community Statement Concerning Kalonji Jama Changa Click Here: Nigel Brown's Website Screenshot NIGEL BROWN FORMERLY KNOWN AS KALONJI JAMA CHANGA* On December 20, 2005 Kalonji Jama Changa, a self-professed Pan-Afrikan and National Chief Coordinator of the Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC), headed by Chairman Fred Hampton Jr., assembled a crew of POCC members (Kofi fka "Shakur" Sunni-Ali son of Bilal Sunni Ali, Flame, Ralph Brian Jones fka "Young Chose" , Anatea Carpenter, and Leah (anti-Afrikan visitor from CA) forced their way into the home inhabited by several Atlanta organizers using guns, knives and mace. Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa demanded that several Pan-Afrikan web sites that are collectively owned and represent grassroots efforts in the Atlanta area (but also act as coordinating hubs for other organizations in various cities) be placed under his control or dis-assembled. The activists attacked are local founding members of the FTP Movement and The Talking Drum Collective. WHAT HAPPENED? Using an AK-47, a Shotgun, a 9mm Handgun, Mace, and Knives Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa and his goons then forcibly invaded these activist home and stole cell phones, a computer, a digital camera, various guns, house and car keys, in addition to the stolen items Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa and his goons, whom are members of the Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC), purposely destroyed the activists files, flatten tires of the activists car, and pistol-whipped them in their home while they were maced during this anti-Afrikan and counter-revolutionary terrorism. FATHER OF THREE, DADDY OF NONE COMES TO TOWN Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa, is a father of at least 3 children by various women, is about 34 years old, pays no child support, and has been a welfare/EBT recipient for over a year and in his own words during Black August (Atlanta) 2005 its ironic he stated "you cant be a revolutionary and work at McDonald's jack". Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa came to Atlanta about 18 months ago as the National Chief Coordinator of POCC and immediately stated his desire to establish a local chapter of the POCC in August of 2004. He solicited the aid of The Talking Drum Collective, whose founding coordinators graciously provided with him personal financial assistance and began to loan him equipment, introduced him to local youth, young adults interested in building a new organization in the Atlanta area, and provided his organization (POCC) with a strong Internet presence. NOT A WORKER, BUT A PARASITE The relationship became strained when Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa took on a opportunistic demeanor i.e. claiming work he did not do, lying to the people by falsifying numbers, and constantly spewing rhetoric that far outstripped the capabilities of not only his organization, the POCC, but of those supporting organizations who came to assist. in addition he became verbally combative, divisive, arrogant, and antagonistic to the Atlanta organizing community. BLACK AUGUST 2005 - ATLANTA During Black August 2005 Atlanta a series of negative events occurred, things came to a head when he threaten and ordered Kofi fka "Shakur" Sunni-Ali, son of Bilal Sunni Ali, and other Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC) members to brazenly pull out guns on another Afrikan during Black August (Atlanta) 2005 finale in the presence of children, women and non-activists for a mis-communication about space arrangements at the Royal Peacock. Atlanta organizers also discovered that Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa had labeled himself the organizer of Black August 2005 Atlanta although help had come from a cross-section of fellow Atlanta activists and technical support had come from as far as California and Missouri. It was discovered that Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa had passed out special fliers listing the Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC) and himself as the chief organizers of Black August 2005 Atlanta and also listed himself as the founder of FTP Movement on his site, so that those new to the conscious community might see him as the center of political activity when he clearly wasnt. SEVERING TIES By September 2005 The Talking Drum Collective coordinators notified Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa that all support for him and the Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC) Atlanta chapter would be terminated immediately. He indicated that he had no hard feelings and neither did The Talking Drum Collective and continued working with him on points of unity until the night Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa and five members of Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC) forced their way into the home of a local The Talking Drum Collective coordinator around 11:30pm that night of December 20th, 2005. ELDER TRIBUNAL Shortly thereafter Atlanta elders, coordinators of The Talking Drum Collective, and Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. of the Prisoners of Conscience Committee were involved in a sit-down to determine on what grounds and by whose authority Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa, National Chief Coordinator of the Prisoners of Conscience Committee, had acted. During the Elders meeting, Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa verbally assaulted the panel, which included local leaders, founding members of several Pan-Afrikan and Afrocentric organizations, most of which are known internationally, and well-known Pan-Afrikan scholars. In the mist of trying to justify his actions he was caught lying several times by the well-respected Elders. Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa during the Elders hearing became arogant, hostile and disrespectful Nigel stated to the elders you motherfuckers aren't listening to me and banged his fist on the table so hard that refreshments began to fall and spill, these acts caused the hearing to conclude. While leaving the meeting Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa even threatened one organizer and reached into his jacket to pull out his weapon that he and two POCC members with him refused to surrender at the start of the tribunal, even in the presence of Elders and indicated that Atlanta activists would see him again. CURRENT UPDATES On the early morning of Februray 2, 2006 (original scheduled released date of Atlanta Community Statement) a car window of The Talking Drum Collective activists that were previously terrorized was broken. WHY THIS STATEMENT? Nana Kuntu (Del Jones) once said that we are the only people who consistently fail to punish our traitors. This time we will and can not fail Our People. This statement acts as a condemnation of Nigel Brown fka Kalonji Jama Changa, Kofi fka "Shakur" Sunni-Ali, Flame, Ralph Brian Jones fka "Young Chosen", Anatea Carpenter, Leah (anti-Afrikan visitor from CA), also this statement acts as a message to all traitors of Afrikan People. In solidarity we stand shoulder to shoulder with Chairman Fred Hampton Jr., his organization (POCC) for it is on the strength of this relationship Nigel Brown was able to exploit the Atlanta community, thus the reason for this statement.
