this morning i threw back the covers in the manner of a 1942 light comedy and surveyed the surrounding area.  i quickly ascertained that i was in my bedroom.  the next step was to alert the authorities, which i was able to do via Twitter.  next i turned on the radiogram which issued forth with The Steve Loam Show on Radio Plinth.  i enjoyed several records by Bob Bobson and the Bob Brothers before slowly making my way downstairs via taxi. how many of you have done the same i wonder?

The Dodecahydrons (not hedrons) formed in Great Missenden in 1962 and are a British rock band.

The band is known for their musical cubism and stringent lyrical style using the English word language. They are also known for their unusual song and album titles (eg 'What's happened to the fridge Deidre?' and 'Look, There Goes an Arctic Roll (It Might Not Be In Fact).' They are also acclaimed for their elaborate live shows which feature holdalls, armchairs, kugelschreibers and frontman John Dredge's signature hat made out of biscuit tins. In 2002 Ohdear Magazine named The Dodecahydrons 'One of the Bands that Came from Great Missenden.'
The group recorded several albums on an indie label in the 70's by mistake. After signing to Plinth Records, they scored a hit with 'My Mother is a Spaceship(I Think) .' The band has maintained critical and to a lesser extent commercial failure through albums such as 1994's 'Let Go of My Arm, Deidre' and 1995's 'Not You Again, Deidre.' In 1997 they were nominated for a BRIT Award by their manager, now hospitalised. The group has collected three Grammy Awards, or to be more accurate, stolen them.
