All these tunes are unavailable on CD or elsewhere...

No Easy Kind of Loving - a tune that's been around a fair while but has never been released.  This version features Hannah from the Redlands on BVs and Jason Mcniff on guitar.

Forever In Blue Jeans - recorded with the Whore Dogs and the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Guilty Pleasures show at the Hackney Empire in March 2007. Other acts on the bill were Cerys Matthews, Terry Hall, Magic Numbers, Les McEowen, and Chas and Dave (who I shared a dressing room with). Most people agreed I was the best!!!!!!!!!! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

Middle Saxon Town - one of our most successful tunes, and a different version from the one on Alan Tyler and the Lost Sons of Littlefield.

Dark River - another London song, about the subterranean River Fleet. Lost Sons have been doing a rockabilly version recently...

I've recorded a version of Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers' Fly Into the Mystery for a new Jonathan Richman tribute album Baby You're a Richman. The album is to be released later this year on the Fortuna Pop! label, with contributions from artists including Jeffrey Lewis, Guy Garvey and Darren Hayman. Fly Into the Mystery was recorded at Dave Morgan's studio in St Albans, and features Lea Andrews on keyboards and vocals, Ruth Tidmarsh on bass and vocals, and Dave Morgan on drums and twiddly things.

Our eponymous record - Alan Tyler and the Lost Sons of Littlefield - was hailed as one of the best roots albums of the year (2007) in January issue of Q magazine!
