Maverick 2001-2007
Hey Everyone,
Maverick has broken up. There's no easy way to say it. I've been playing in Maverick for six years. I started out as a 19 old kid who thought he was going to be the next big thing. I always thought that working hard and paying your dues would have got me to where I wanted to be. So here I am now 25 years old. I am completely different person than I was at the start. Now I am bitter and jaded towards the music of today. Yet I am totally grateful that I had the chance to be in Maverick. Maverick to me was a place I could always honestly express myself. Every lyric and song was written for me, not anyone else. Maverick was and IS the music I love. We could do whatever the fuck we wanted. Still that was our downfall. Some of us we're just not willing to take a chance anymore. It was time for them to move along to their next phase in life. I will never understand, but I will wish them luck. I've always thought as Maverick as a family. A dysfunctional one at that, but a family. We're probably known the most for in New Jersey is our revolving door of band members. Here's a list of them all: (these years might not be exactly right)
Bryce - (Vocals, first bass player) 2001-2007 Trevor Luks - Drums 2001- 2003 Mike Bell - Guitar 2001-2006 Justin Sherwood - Guitar 2002-2003 Josh Wiseman - Guitar 2003-2007 Bob Hubert - bass 2003 then again in 2005 Dan Pelic - Drums 2003-2005 Clay - bass 2004 Clutch Dewey Salamander Thorten aka Adam - Bass 2004-2005 Casey - Drums 2005- 2007 Jason - Bass 2006 Stevecase - Bass 2007
Thank all of you so much. I've made so many great friends over the years. Thank you to everyone who ever came to a show, or bought anything from us. It means so much! I wish I could name everyone but the list would be too long. As for Maverick we'll be having a little going away present for everyone very soon. The 4 new songs we recorded I'm going to put up for download. After that it's goodbye, We are all going our separate ways, so keep an eye open for some new projects. Hopefully the other members will post a little blog of their own to say goodbye.
"The time has come to live together or die alone"
Love you all,
Bryce

21st Century Romance:
I dont think I want to fall in love tonight. Ill just lay down and go to bed. Its coming, Its coming, Its coming, and I dont think you're running, running, faster to find a spot to hide. I dont think she wants to lay down and go to bed. The clothes that she wears for perfection would look good on my floor when she lays down not going to bed. Its coming, Its coming, Its coming, and I dont think youre running, running, faster to find a spot to hide. I dont think she wants to lay down and go to bed. Why share a lifetime; when you can share one night instead? Darling lets cut out the subtleties. Adjust for fallen standards. It became so simple. Waiting to hear them say Am I a whore? Does she like me for what I am? Is she dying for sip of what I expend? Is she just waiting for the eww whoo whoos? Would she like to get taken away? Away from the theatrics of the everyday? Maybe Its just the alcohol. You want a buzz. You're willing to throw it all up to the gods with no high school degree. The taste drinks me. The taste drinks me. The taste drinks me dry. Determine for another drop to quench this thirst. The climax is not reaching the limit we rehearsed. An addiction wont work when passion involved. We need chemistry first before an addiction moves along into this 21st Century Romance. Decoding various signals, phased frequencies. It would be easier if she made that call. At all at least I could say I got sex for alcohol.
The Left Side:
It's common courtesy to return a call from me while I'd never do the same for you. I'm such a hypocrite. You got to say something. I cant leave you alone. Ill be waiting since I have your home number and your zip code. Promises are never kept. Day dreams are never met. Im all dressed up with no place to go. Staring, wanting, waiting, for this next episode. You got to say something. I cant leave you alone. Ill be waiting since I have your home number and your zip code. Im going to make you stop stare. When I tell you how much I care. Whom ever said I was a man must not see. I built you up to watch you fall. Set goals youll never reach. So I can watch you fail like me. who has started this trend? Do you even care? Its common courtesy
Get Yourself Cleaned Up
Second guessing the way I fell leads me to fall into another trick hidden up your sleeve. It hasnt been easy for awhile. Is this a denial? Since I can see your lies. Since I can be your lies. I dont think I want to fall in love tonight. I dont want to let go.

So we pretty much finished recording three new songs. So far they sound awesome, I think we just have to add a couple more vocals and get them mixed. After that we'll post one or maybe all of them for you to hear. We're very excited about them. The names of the songs are: 21st Century Romance, Leftside, and Get Yourself Cleaned Up. It will be there first new songs we posted in 2 years. That's very scary to think about that it's been that long. I hope these will be worth the wait. We still need bassist, make anyone you know who is amazing try out. Mike recorded bass on the new demos. He did a most excellent job I must say.
You'll hear from us soon,
Bryce Maverick

Thank you to everyone who came out to see us Friday. Maverick apologizes to anyone who missed us or only saw some of set. We were told last minute, about 20 minutes before the show started that we were going to play first. Up to that point we were told we would be playing second. If we had any knowledge of this ahead of time we would have posted it. Even though things did not go as planned we had a great time. We got a great reaction from everyone and we're so very thrilled to have your continuous support.
Maverick will be taking the entire next month off to write new music. We are also going into a professional studio the first week of November to demo some new tracks. Hopefully we may have something for you to hear by the end of the month. Keep checking back for updates, and some new out of state and local show dates in December/ January.
For booking please contact bryce@maverickrock.com
Thanks… love,
brycie
