Keeley has posted an unreleased glos song on his website kheydesign.com. It is a supper delicate song that did not fit the theme of the full length glos release and is now exclusively at his site. The website also features news and archives from his musical and graphic design past and present. The song has the ability to send shivers down your spine so don't listen if you already feel dark. Enjoy.

Leaving behind nearly a decade's worth of die-hard fans, innumerable shows, and indelible memories, Engine Down was a dynamic, forceful band that stood out from its peers. From the beginning, this innovative quartet exhibited a boldness in its sound that mixed intensity and measured songwriting to fashion something wholly unique. Engine Down was a group that masterfully alternated between bombast and introspection, between complexity and steadiness.

After nearly a decade of making music, the members of Engine Down chose to play one final tour in the United States, and From Beginning To End chronicles that adventure. The story of Engine Down's career is revealed in candid conversations with the band members, their peers, and their fans. From their early days at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, through nine years of international tours and right up to their last hurrah, this film captures the experiences of Engine Down in detail and from all angles. In good times and bad, Engine Down was motivated by an earnest passion for playing music and for traveling together. Through their craft of soaring, lyrical, and ultimately unforgettable music, their deep camaraderie still shines.

The DVD has over 3 hours of content and is packaged in a beautiful DVD digipak printed on 100% recycled board and with a
100% recycled plastic tray.

It all started as a few musical file transfers from laptop to laptop in a van while touring Europe as the band Engine Down, and ended as a full blown album of musical compositions by means of the internet from opposite corners of America. Glös started as Keeley Davis (former frontman of Engine Down and bass/synth player for Denali) and Cornbread Compton (former drummer of Engine Down, Biology, and now Heavens). The many years of playing in Engine Down together proved that the duo had a naturally unique style of meshing melody and rhythm. When the discovery of song creation on computers became a reality, the two found strength and freedom in writing separately and then collaborating. Adding to each other's songs as if they were created mutually in the same room was natural and noticeable. After collaborating on over 20 songs and having never physically played the songs together in a rehearsal environment, the duo decided to take even more advantage of the freedom that this style of writing offered. They invited Keeley's sister Maura Davis (former frontwomen of Denali) to join the project and to add her beautiful sultry vocals to the songs that already seemed perfect for her. If it weren't for the internet none of the songs would have grown into the theatrical landscapes that they became since each member was working on different projects full time in Texas, California, Virginia, North Carolina, and Illinois. Help recording drums was enlisted by Ben Lovett's studio in Los Angeles and Black Iris studio in Richmond, VA to obtain quality without losing time. After two years of writing and refining, glös has its first album entitled Harmonium. Long time friendship with indie label Lovitt Records, who put out numerous releases of member's previous bands, was the obvious choice for this record. At this time the release date is scheduled for January 2007.

"We are looking for any footage that people might have of the band for possible use. Any thing from overseas and older tours would be exceptionally helpful. RUMORS The rumors are circulating, and at least part of what you’ve heard is true. ENGINEDOWN has decided to end on a high note. There’s a bit too much to say in just one e-mail (too many people to thank, too many amazing stories to recount, etc.), so please come celebrate our band’s 8-year history in person by attending one of our farewell shows, where we will go out with a bang! FAREWELL TOUR We’ll be traveling with our great friends in Bella Lea (ex-denali and pinebender: www.bellalea.com ) and Des Ark (amazing NC two-piece: www.des-ark.org ) *If you’d like to help promote one of these shows in your hometown in exchange for free entrance to the show, please respond to info@enginedown.com with the subject heading “BOOYAH!”. *if you were already a member of the engine down street team, please e-mail info@enginedown.com …when the site crashed, I lost my street team list, but I’m pretty good with names so I’ll definitely remember you… sorry!

we're only a week away from the end of tour, and we are really looking forward to playing the rest of the shows, and then spending a little time at home recharging our batteries. it's been an insane trip (van/trailer/gear theft, richmond flood, apartment condemned, chipped teeth, the loss of clothes, and NOW someone has actually hacked into our paypal donation account and attempted to steal THAT from us). continuing this tour is by far the hardest thing we've EVER done, and we what we want more than anything is to see all of our friends and fans at the last few shows on the east coast as we finish out the trip. PLEASE come to the shows and give us hugs. we need them. 9/20- albany. valentine's 9/21- cambridge. the middle east 9/22- new york. the knitting factory 9/23- washington, dc. the black cat 9/24- philly. first unitarian church 9/25- richmond. nanci raygun (all shows with these arms are snakes)
