While my own projects are on hold here is the latest film made in association with Team Sill.

I'm rather pleased as I've managed to use the Wilhelm scream!

While this isn't the only project I've started and not completed (boy, readers of this this blog know that!) this is the one that was abandoned after shooting had started.

The story is about two young guys who wake up after a heavy night of drinking to discover that the house is surrounded by Zombies.

The footage missing from the film is some establishing shots of the zombie infested town with some emergancy broadcast soundbytes. While these could be shot and edited into the film the scene following on from the above clip was intended to be a small action sequence where the guys escape from the house.

If I were to ever pick up this project again I would start from scratch, including taking a another pass at the script which turned out to be sappier than I intended!

Two blogs in one day? I'm spoiling you already and there could be a third yet depending on how some rendering goes!

I was reading through the past blogs and other than me talking about projects that may never happen ('The New Girl' is sadly one of them despite all the work on the script), I realised I never posted about one of the completed Team Sill films.

Team Sill: C12

To date it's probably the most accomplished film I'm made as part of Team Sill and the one I'm most happy with, it was filmed during Collectormania 12 (hence the name) at Milton Keynes in 2007.

Enjoy!

As some of you may have noticed the Sly Fox Films website is currently down, as I've not really done much film work in a while I've neglected the site a little and I'm giving myself some time to think about my film work as a whole.

Soon,

Mike

Hello all, I hope 2008 has been good to you so far.

Last year I had planned on making my first proper Zombie film this year but once again this gone on the backburner and in it's place will be The New Girl, the romanic comedy I mentioned in the last blog.

With the script for that finished I'm currently casting, storyboarding and enquiring about the locations, I hope to go into production within the next few weeks.

For more information on The New Girl go to the profile I setup for it here.

The other plan for this year is another Team Sill film, which if nothing else will be the conclusion to the Colin Baker interview we started in late 2006!

Release date: 01 January, 2008

This is now the title of my next project, it's a romantic comedy (of sorts) in which a male character is besotted with a girl who's just started at his college.

Originally the film was going to be split into a number of episodes which would be filmed and set at irregular intervals over a period of twelve months or so, but during the earliest stages of pre-production I decided to split the film into two large parts and hope for the best.

Casting on the project isn't complete and I'm still waiting for a couple of people to get back to me, but the main two parts are cast and since the majority of the film revolves around them we will hopefully start filming in a couple of weeks.

For the first time I've set up a MySpace profile for a project, it's in the Top 8 of this one so feel free to add it as a friend. Once we start shooting I'll post behind the scenes stuff on there for you to take a look at.

Thanks for reading.

Mike

The Team Sill film was finished a while back and can be seen on YouTube, my workload was fairly high this time round and it certainly made use of some of my uni learned skills!

Team Sill: The Voyage to Memorabilia

My project list has switched slightly, the script I had been working on has been dropped for now. I decided that casting the project would have been difficult for me at this stage and I wasn't completely confident of the material once I sat down to storyboard the film.

Which normally wouldn't have bothered me in all honesty, but since the subject of the film was serious I decided I wanted to wait until I could do it the justice it deserves.

During post-production on the Team Sill film I came up with the idea for my next project, it's very much a back to basics project for me which I'm much more confident about making and won't feel too bad about fucking up!

Of course casting has now become the bane of my life again, I wrote the project with two of my friends in mind for the roles, but both of them are unsure about taking lead roles. So for the first time in any film project I might have to look outside my circle of friends for actors.

So if you live in the Staffordshire area and want to act in the film, drop me a line for details!

The next Team Sill film is now in post-production, it's a slightly more ambitious film and is partly a Star Trek fan film!

The plot revolves around the crew of the Starship Team Sill, who are sent on a mission by a member of the Q. The young Q wants to know what Snickers bars were called in the UK before the year 2007.

The film was shot at the recent Spring Memorabilia fair at the NEC and features a follow up interview with the Dr Who actor Colin Baker.

Looking at  the other entries I don't think DVD Roulette stands much of a chance, but I figured nothing ventured nothing gained!

So it's been officially entered in the competition :)
