Do you twitter???

Anyone else who has discovered the phenomenal communicatory invention of Twitter has to agree on both its ease of use and addictive nature. I have been hip to the social micro-blogging platform for more than a year now but have just recently decided to utilize its services.

Why might you ask? Well, easy…..

1. Privacy- I don't be wantin my bidness out on blast for everyone in the world to read.

2. Need - I asked myself, will I use, or, more importantly, do I need yet another "social networking" type of site.  Having already been a contributing member of several other sites I couldn't figure out how Twitter would be of any benefit.

2. Time - As mentioned above, with more and more of me feeling like my time is getting sucked into checking, updating, reviewing, commenting, and managing other sites, I felt it would only bog me down to have another place that required my online attention.

So what made you decided to go ahead and join? Well, easy….

Besides Twitter being a great way to respond and update large groups of people, I found it less inundating than say…a myspace page or personal blog.

Tweets (a.k.a. twitter posts) can only be a maximum of 140 characters long. So brevity is key. No more reading peoples novel like replies to simple questions.  Not only that, there is a way to set privacy controls which prohibits your page from being viewed by anyone outside of you chosen contacts. If you tried to click on the words "privacy controls" you now know what I'm talking about. Kind of like privacy mode in myspace. Thirdly, since I'm able to check, respond to, and send tweets with my phone by using the twitter chat client Hahlo, I find it more convenient and less time consuming than I originally hypothesized.

All in all I like Twitter for all of the aforementioned reasons but there's something else. It's just fun! There's nothing quite like receiving a direct message from peedie saying something cute and funny about a recent situation we encountered. We're able to laugh and respond as many times as we want.  It's almost like your own private conversation.  140 characters long, of course. J

With all of this new found discretionary time I've decided to begin video blogging in addition to all of the other craziness I mentioned in a previous post. These videos will be a way to say what up and show love to all my family and friends.

This is an update to all my folks that I haven't connected with in a while. As you all know your boy is currently enrolled in graduate studies at Franklin University. Though times were rough and I felt as if I might not finish, with help from God, family, and friends I've made it!!! :) My girlfriend will also be walking the stage and accepting her MS in Communications. Go peedie!!!!

After tomorrow evenings presentation I will be officially finnito! I wasn't really writing to tell ppl that but i figured it would be good way to communicate this event to a large group w/o raising my phone bill, lol!!! Graduation is on January 6th at Vets if anyone will be in the Columbus area and avail.

I was actually writing to notify you, my friends, of my new blog and various photostreams. I plan on using these platforms as tools to help keep ppl informed as to what a brothas been doing.

They are as follows:
Bulen Ave. :) - blog ramblings. Wordpress, the only way to go. Now if can just now get the hang of this css thing, lol.

Flickr - online photostream taken w/ the dirty thirty. DOndude, thank you for the comments on the BA sign. It's where it all begun my brotha.

Tumblr - random shots taken w/ my phone. Simple, clean, easy.


Now that I have a life again these platforms will be updated more frequently.

EL*7~Kingdom MUSIC

We may have never properly explained meaning of the name EL*7 of our production company. 

The term "square" has normally had a nerdish or corcky affiliation when refering to ppl in regards to their level of "cool/hipness".  Synoymously, squares are perfect objects, with there sharp corners, clean lines, balanced angles, and symmetrical dimensions......

The name EL*7 was born from a discussion between Phoenix and myself regarding our peculiar lives.  We (all the producers in EL*7), as many of you all already may know are all christian brothers.  We share balanced interests of music, deisgn, art, literatrue, etc. and really, someimes feel geeky in our thinking and approach towards things; so being or feeling nerdy or "square" was something we thought would describe our personalities.  Secondly, EL as it relates to it's hebrew translation, is the basic naming for GOD meaning his strength, power, and might.  All the hewbrew names of GOD begin with this EL prefix...... ELohim, EL shaddai, ELyon, etc.  This piece relates itself to our spiritual closeness and it, being the first sound in our name, gives relavence to GOD being first in our lives.  The number 7 also has spiritual relvance as being the day GOD rested after creating the earth. 
The number 7 combined with the EL prefix gives us our name.  You might also notice in our pics images of us throwing the "EL's" up.  This square represents again our unification, symmetry and balance. 

SO WHEN YOU FELLING LIKE A NERD, THEN GO ON THROW YOU EL'S UP!!!
