time has passed but i believe i've made my niche, which is a bit much since the vast majority of people i work with i get along with perfectly fine, even hold a few of them close, or as close as new friends can get. i also find myself reunited with some old ones from years passed back when i was just starting to become the pain in the ass i am today in LG high, therefore making me one of the lucky ones to have to use both hands to count the friends i can count on. i'm on volume 3 of my cdc's and i'm feeling the pressure already, after this one is a bombarding salvo of tests followed by the infamous end of course exam. i can hold my own on the flightline and for the most part i can fill any role that's needed (with the exception of a few vehicles) and though i still tend to not be as proficient as the average guy i'm definitely progressing. when the mission is done and i'm back at the shop, i take on another role that has yet to be put into my job description as lead tech support for the flight. from printer issues and computer resets, to troubleshooting and configuring programs, i'm constantly on call.
i do whatever is needed at the shop, and after a week of work, on friday nights i'm often found passed out nearly unconscious in bed getting a few winks worth of sleep before being woken up by a friend at around midnight or so inviting me over to hang out with the group for a while.
however, of course not all places are without their problems. i am constantly looked down upon by a particular co-worker who see's me as nothing but shit, and in an attempt to bring a boost to his already overly obese ego, tries to knock me down every chance he has, as if i'm supposed to revel in his superiority, when in fact i've succeeded in alot of aspects where he failed. i went through basic military training, busted my ass, and had i have done 10 seconds better on my run, i would have been given honor graduate status, whereas THAT fucker couldn't hack it and was sent to the 319th medical holdover squadron and put in "fit flight" over issues he could easily fix, and stayed there for six months on top of being recycled once he got out. he too was reclassed but he obviously either doesn't give two shits about what he does unless he's outshining another or he really is stupid as hell, because when he got here, he spent somewhere to the tune of 3 or 4 months down in the training area taking forever on his cdc's, not meeting deadlines or anything and it took me less than 30 days to get out of there and be 33% done with them. he even tries to make it seem like he's some badass for having a horrific childhood and a father who is ex- delta force. it doesn't fucking matter how you're brought up, what matters is the person you make yourself to be later on, which in his case isn't working out too well for him. couple that with the fact that every other word that is said from that ignorant retard just slams down hard on my "don't freakin' push this!" button and you've got the makings of a bad one-on-one working relationship.
that, along with one or more issues that are not to be spoken of have left slight imperfections on an otherwise great time here. and though a few particular gripes are present here and there, i still have to say the good outweighs the bad. i'm blessed with many friends old and new, i'm looked upon in a good light by my supervisors(hell, i was even invited to a party with them on my 21st) and even for the most part by my darth vader-esque flight chief, and though there are a few problems that come up here and there, my continued path is still gaining altitude. so all-in-all things are looking bright. hell, i don't even have any debt, lol

happy? by: mudvayne
In this hole That is me The dead are rolling over In this hole Thickening Dirt shoveled over shoulders
I feel it in me So overwhelmed All this pressure centerizing My life overturned But there than despare All these scars keep ripping open
Peel me from the skin Tear me from the rind Does it make you happy now?
Tear me from the bone Tear me from myself Are you feeling happy now?
In this hole That is me A life that's growing feeble In this hole So limiting The sun has set; all darkens
Buried underneath Hands slip off the wheel Internal path-way to contention
Peel me from the skin Tear me from the rind Does it make you happy now?
Tear me from the bone Tear me from myself Are you feeling happy now?
Are you HAPPY
Are you HAPPY
Are you feeling happy?
In this hole That is me Left with a heart exhausted What's my release?? What sets me free? Do you pull me up just to push me out again?
Peel me from the skin Tear me from the rind Does it make you happy now?
Tear me from the bone Tear me from myself Are you feeling happy?
Peel me from the skiiiiiiiiiin Peel me from the skiiiiiiiiiin Tear me from the rind Does it make you happy now?
Tear me from the boooooooooone Tear me from the boooooooooone Tear me from myself Are you feeling happy?
Does it make you happy? Are you feeling happy? Are you fucking happy? Now that I'm lost here with nothing
Does it make you happy? Are you feeling happy? Are you fucking happy? Now that I'm lost here with nothing?

Current mood:tired
decent money coming in, a very nice place to chill waking up, doing work, a little time to kill. a cool and rhyming supervisor, a mentally intimidating mass he's a retired senior master sergeant, in PT he kicks our ass. a cool friend from my tech school, reclassed from training in SERE had a year and a half in service before he even made it here. a small project i'm doing, an experimental effort of sorts have my own supercomputer, 3 towers and lots of ports. the future now looks bright, out here it's pretty cool and because of how work is handled, i can test my way through school.
...and yet i get a feeling as i stare into the night inside a room of circuits, controllers and electronic light. something deep inside that just doesn't seem too clear an unmistakable want that i can't seem to find out here. 'till found i take to my music, within it's lyrics i do confide something missing from within that's bugging me inside.

well, after two tries at it i'm finally out... but strangely enough i don't feel any excitement or anything. i don't know if it's the tedium of in-processing, the fact i don't know anyone, or just the fact that the closest speck of civilization is in wichita falls where i was once stationed 2 tech schools ago... who knows? hopefully things pick up.

Current mood: depressed
i grad on the 26th but have no assignment, no orders, and therefore no way to outprocess or even know where my permenant duty station is. stress is mounting, every time i try and arrange something fun to kill stress i get fucked one way or another, i got screwed with by a security forces person on patrol who tried giving me a citation for something i didn't even fucking do, i have had literally no sleep whatsoever last night and without my assignment and orders, i'm going to be a damn holdover here which will probably end with me spending an entire year in the airforce without getting out of training and therefore putting up with more glorified babysitting bullshit and whatever these MTL's decide to do to the squadron due to the actions of some dumbass airmen fresh from basic.
fuck my life....

well, my first day in sheppard has been just fan-fucking tastic so far... we get to sheppard and are treated to an extravagent BMT style welcoming, yells and all. after sitting through briefings i come to realize that i am down to phase one after working so hard to get phase three back in keesler so at least for the weekend i'm phase one. on top of that BECAUSE i'm phase one i had to wake up early and do cleaning details, only problem with that is that nobody in my group was told that and so i have a damn staff sergeant beating on my door. he tells me to give him a 341 (a demerit slip basically, you really don't want one pulled) but since i just got here the previous night, i didn't have any current ones on me so when i finally got some i had 2 of them pulled, then got screamed at on two other seperate occasions and if that wasn't enough, when i bent over just outside my room to pick something up the door slammed shut on me and my key was inside my room. thank god i found my roommate. but anyways, so far my evaluation of my time in this base can be summed up in two words: FUCK THIS!

Current mood: artistic
so here i am, a mere 3 days from shipping out and with as much of an impact as a baseball bat to the face, i am struck with an encyclopedic amount of ideas ranging from performance enhancements for computers, to movies and music.
basically if you were to put it metaphorically, right now i'm hearing everything as varying melodies, speaking like a movie-preview guy, and seeing everything in binary that resembles a scene from the matrix.
i only hope these ideas, along with the interest in them, survive long enough to be worked .. basic training, because these are pretty good ideas!
