Hey guys.. Howz it going? i've been soooooo lax with keeping up to date with this blog thing, I'm sorry! Anyway, I'm writing from LA where I've been writing and performing for about two weeks. I've been so busy that I know when I get home on Friday I'm going to be the pastiest out of all my mates... This is surely not the way it should be?!
A couple of weeks ago I was hooked up with a guy for a writing session called James Carrington... Normaly on first meeting we get on and all goes smoothly... But by the end of the first week we'd written two of my best songs to date(which I'll be trying to get to you guys as soon as I can... think I need a bit of a song move around on my page!) and played a gig at the bush hall and I'd booked my ticket out to LA! You could say that it all worked out amazingly! James has been amazing(And Sharon Scolti!!!)... He's invited me to play at a couple of his gigs just to give me some live time out here as well as sorting meetings for me... I couldn't and wouldn't ever have expected someone to help out to such a extent!!! So the long and the short of this rambling email is to tell you guys to check him out... He's great!
I'm doing a couple of songs with James on Wednesday night at the 'Hotel Cafe' which will be brilliant as he has a full band of amazing musicians!!! I can't wait!!!!
I'll be back at the end of the week and will be easing back in to giging between trips out here so keep in touch!!! xkx

Happy new year! And what a year it's going to be... I had one of the best eat, drink and be merry two or three weeks I can remember. My sister did the family proud and entertained ALL of us for Christmas. When i say all of us I mean all 15 or so of our immediate family. Not and easy task I can assure you! New year was spent in an old, creaky 16th centuary manner house with 30 friends for four day or so. Brilliant beyond words!
anyway to 2007... Things are looking good on many counts. gig's are going to start happening in the next few weeks and I can't tell you how much I've been missing them for the past 4 months or so! I'm working with some my favourite people for both writing and recording in the next month or so. (Ben Parker and Seaton Daunt.) The album is really starting to take shape! I can't wait...
I'm going to be doing a gig on my friend Judie Tzuke's tour in the next month or so. When I have the dates I'll let you know, but if you have a chance to check out her page and her daughter Bailey Tzuke's page, there'll be more details on there.
Stay well! xkx

I'll be in touch again soon with good gossip i promis! Stay well... xkx

I got back from holiday last sunday and it's taken at least a week to get my s@*t together! The transition from reading books in the sun, to London life is sooooo much harder than I remember it being last year! Anyway, things are getting back to normal and I'm trying to get these dates in the diary for gigs to rehearse up the new album (and a bit more!). Hopefully going to be showcasing in November if all goes to plan, but as any of you who know me will know... this rarely happens!!! but what doesn't work out makes you stronger!!! Things are looking good for now though and I like it so I'll stick with it as always and who knows! xkx

Hello.... I'm feeling distinctively shadey today!!! Not sure why but I seem to get the uncontrollable urge to drink more than my body weight when I've just played and no... I've never been petite to say the least therefore, no... this is never a good idea!
Anyways... Everything went well I think! There where a couple of whistles and a few woops which is always nice, and as of this morning i've gone from 535 friend on my page to having nearly 600!!! It's the simple things that please me!
Ben had to learn 'Stap Stagger Not Fall' yesterday morning to play it for me last night and he did a sterling job!!! He's just bought himself a new Mandolin and i'm so excited about getting a band on the new tracks and playing with St Cecile live!!!! always makes a song more real for some reason when you've gigged it... comes alive somehow! (Shut up Kate!!!) Moving swiftly back to last night... Tunes Untold went down really well last night whereas I didn't think it did at the last gig. I'm chuffed coz it's one of my favourites out of the new stuff.
Anyways... thanks to anyone who came down last night, it was fun! I'm hungover but happy!!! xkx

You'd have thought I'd have learnt from passed morning after the night befores, that drinking cheep white wine is such a bad idea!!!!! Some live and learn where as I just seem to been managing the living bit at the moment. Brilliant night though... think it might have been helped by the fact I'm working with Judy Tzuke tomorrow for the first time in months... She's introduced me to Ben aswell and I'm really looking forward to hearing what's gonna come from it! That's the best bit about co-writing.
Things are really starting to pick up again after the mess at the end of last year(my lable went belly up.)! Gigs are starting to come in and the new songs are working so well live.... can't get enough of being up there after so long! I've got a really good feeling about things at the moment. I've a new manager (Richard Beck) who has more energy than a puppy and it's really rubbing off on me! I'm feeling positive and can't wait to see what's going to happen in the next year or so!!! I still haven't sorted who's going to play for me next week at the Bedford but hey... that's what comes from jumping from one guitar to the next!!!!! I'll put the new song we come up with tomorrow up as soon as it's ready! Only two weeks till HOLIDAY!!!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!! xkx
