The Reisenauers were in a dream I had last night:

It was some kind of event with kids playing baseball. They were all dressed up in Detroit Tigers uniforms that were black & white. For some reason I was asking for names & positions as they walked by to assume their place on the field. Every kid gave the same answers:

Me: "What's your name?"
The Kid: "Joe Garagiola."
Me: "What do you play?"
The Kid: "Right Field."

Over and over again it was the same thing.

Todd and Troy were standing next to me as all this played out. Todd thought it was really funny that every one of these kids was named Joe Garagiola, and that he was playing right field. Eventually, to see what would happen, he yelled out as loud as he could: "PLAY BALL!"

All of the kids sprung into action. About half of them sort of flailed around right where they stood--moving, but not moving. They were stuck in place as if they were hanging from an invisible nail. The other half were fighting, punching each other's faces out on the field.

Todd and Troy were sitting there watching, cracking up.

The search is over. It has been for a while, actually. Please welcome our new drummer, Adam, to the drumstool. We're busy writing some new crapola for your listening pleasure. We'll be busy ruining shows again soon.

Some cool Frenchmen-related news. The North of Nowhere-produced vid for "All Blowed Up" (one of the songs on our debut CD) is appearing at the Forx Film Festival at the Empire Arts Center in Grand Forks, ND.

It's scheduled for Nov. 3rd at 9:11 p.m.--right after the North of Nowhere documentary.

That would mark the first time our mugs have been seen on a GF stage in probably 5 or 6 years.

Anyway, good luck to Megan & the gang on their entries.

Because we love to do it so much, it's time to get a new drummer! After exposing himself to the rigors of the Frenchmen schedule, Rod decided that it wasn't going to work out. So thanks for joining up for at least a little while, Rod.

We don't know who our next drummer will be yet. Maybe you'd like the job? How about it? The perks are endl... er... nonexistent. We do have fun, though. We're not asking for much... just a steady beat, a night or so a week of practice, an occasional show, and $20 a month to pitch in for the practice space.

We're hoping to get someone who can just keep the songs going. We're not looking for anything overly fancy. If you've heard us before you can probably understand what we're going for. We don't need a whole bunch of fills and flashy moves.

So if you're interested, let us know... BUT PLEASE fill out an application.

Well let's have an official band announcement, shall we? We'd like to officially welcome Rod Mooridian to Les Dirty Frenchmen as our new drummer. James had a busy schedule at college and left us without a tempo a couple of weeks ago. At the CD release show, Rod caught on to the progressive, intricate song structures and complicated time shifts of LDF in record time--so naturally, we asked Rod to help us continue. Thanks, Rod!

And an extra special big-time lovin' thanks to James for something like five years of grueling service.
