Hey friends,

Welcome to 2009.

Thanks for your support so far this year, we look forward to hanging out with you guys on our upcoming Canadian Crusade tour
with our friends Today I Caught The Plague from Ottawa.

We're heading there on Friday to kick the tour off with them in their hometown the next day.
And then they hit our hometown, St. John's, Newfoundland, with us on March 28th, later this month.

If you're interested, check the dates out on our myspace page to see if we're gonna be coming through your area sometime soon.

Special props to those of you that have come to a show or bought an Album or ANY merch from us in the last while,
It's because of awesome people like you that independent bands like us can survive when it comes time to record or tour.

Also, we've recently posted a new video blog thing, a small compilation of some stuff from late 2008 and early 2009.
It's just as shitty as the last one, no worries!

Please, Beware the naked werewolf, we hear he stalks his prey at Canadian Crusade shows...

We hope to see you soon,

Joel, Logan, Bruce, Steve and Will

So, a really good friend of mine drew my attention to this sometime last week and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since. It's a film about a man named Rick Simpson from Nova Scotia who has claimed to have cured cancer with hemp oil. I won't say much more about it other than that I wish for everyone to take an hour and a half out of their day to sit down and watch this from beginning to end. Please don't watch only half of it and then base an opinion on only half of the information. Ignorance dooms us all.

You rotten motherfuckers!
You're all being so supportive that we don't even know what to say to you!

Before I rant, I'll say that the new record is doing better than we could have imagined, and we want to thank ya'll for that...thanks b'ys!

Let's all smoke dope together to celebrate later this month.
Oh, about that!!:

As you may or maynot've seen, we've added some more tour dates for later this month and early next month. We feel incredibly stoked about being able to tour with Straight Reads The Line, Farewell To Freeway and Arise and Ruin through the Maritimes and a little in Ontario and Quebec.

We're gonna have some awesome new merch for this shit too.
Speaking of merch...thanks to you who bought shit from us when we played those dates with Ten Second Epic in October...we had a blast hanging with you guys and those guys, you make us feel at home everywhere here in the Maritimes.

God love ya'.
Like, anal.

SO.
If you're interested, keep an eye out for updates and take a look at the dates on the main page to see when we'll be in your town in the next month or so...

Again, thanks, you're all truly awesome people and friends.

Hey,
Could your father battle a raptor or pteradactyl and survive?
Could your dad secretly be a Werewolf??

These are things we often wonder about our fathers...

Alright.

WE'VE POSTED A FEW SONGS.
Our record is officially finished and will be available is September.

uh.

It took us a long time to make this record...like, two years writing...or more...and then we took months to record it...We've had the opportunity to meet and work with some awesome people along the way.
SO...
Thank you for taking the time to check out what we've been working on.

If you dig it and want to hear more, check back sometime soon 'cause we'll be switching up the tracks between now and when we tour the Maritimes and go HOME next month for the records release.

If you hate it:
Our bad!

TOUR DATES will be posted really soon.
Let's rock

and roll

all night long sweet Suzie.

Maybe we'll see you at a show sometime soon,
We'll finally have a record.

peace,

So, it's 3:30 in the afternoon...we're all hung over as fuck...
Last night we had a little get together at our place and all hands were ripping.
We have some friends staying with us from home...it was amazing. It's always so good to hang with people from home...we miss the fucking place so much.

Honestly, Newfoundland is all we've been talking about lately.
If you're reading this from there, hats off to ya, seriously...and we can't wait to come hang out with you really soon...

In all the drunkandsmoke mess last night, we decided it would be a cool idea to post a rough mix of one the songs from the record so those of you that are interested can take a listen and shitttt.

So, enjoy! And thanks again for your support and interest...

Much love,
j

HEYA you buncha fuckin' awesome people, you.

First of all, thanks for being so goddamn patient with us....we're a band of stoners and fucktards...but there a bunch of you who keep us going with support and friendship...what's a dude to say but 'thanks'?

UPDATE....uhhhhhhh.

So....the record is fucking TRACKED...DONE....cane you believe it? Like holy shit...the weight has finally been lifted from our shoulders...

I just lost the game.

....moving on....yeah, the record is tracked...drums, check, bass, check, guitars, check, vocals, check....now, all we have to do is mix and master this SON OF A BITCH and we're smooth sailin'.

The record ended up being 11 songs, with a few tracks of transitions and such...

Ron Anonsen, our dear friend and engineer/co-producer won't say it....but he HAS to be damn near sick of us by now...

We had this awesome little get together with some members of Shelter With Thieves, the Jimmy Swift Band, VKNGS...along with some other friends to do some gang-related vocal tracks for the record...it was like a junior high school field trip...you know...hot. Literally......it was like 50 degrees in the room....picture 20 sets of sweet and tasty balls....sweating and shitty....and thats how it was.

nuts.

In the course of recording this record, we've been ROBBED, we've had a house almost BURN to the ground...fuck...what a laugh!!!

Anyway....seriously...we're fucking stolked as fuck right now....it's really coming together now....I just wish I could show you all what we have thus far...I'm dyyyyyyying to release this shit and hit the road....fuck.

Speaking of which...we just got off of a Maritimes tour...our first...and goddamn....what a riot.

We met up with our new bestest buddies The Holly Springs Disaster and Threat Signal in PEI...and then spent the rest of the tour smoking weed and spreading the good word across some of the most beautiful places on earth...it was a start of what I think will be a long and awesome friendship with those dudes...and those places.

If you're reading this shit from the Maritimes, THANK YOU for EVERYTHING.

They were very supportive and we learned alot...knowledge is power, ffffwhhooooaaaa.

So check them out, if you know what's good for you...

ALSO....message us and let us know how things are going back home in Newfoundland....for fuck sakes, we miss ya'll....too much.

I hear that my bro's band, The Fall From Here have some major plans in the upcoming months....check those fuckers out, and support them too! bitch!

www.myspace.com/thefallfromhere

Thanks for reading....the record release date is gonna be announced real soon...like, REALLY SOON...

The next blog, we'll chat about the record concept and our plans for it all...

Until then,

Smoke weed, and play video games...

Hey friends!

Joel here,
First of all, Happy 420 to all of you who indulge upon the sweet leafage.
Fadder always said, 'Smoke 'em if you've got 'em.'

Well!
As always, I want to take the time to thank you for taking the time to come check out our myspace page and blogs...your support is much appreciated.

Sooo, on with the second studio journal...
Drums are tracked...like I mentioned in the last blog...and since then, we've moved from the Sonic Temple to Canvasland Studios to track the guitars and bass for the record.

Logan, Will and myself were postering downtown Halifax today for our show at the Marquee Club next weekend...it was a great way to spend 420, for sure.

THEN...we headed to Canvasland studios to see what Ron and Bruce were doing...and HOLY SHIT....have you ever heard of guitar tone? Because apparently our friend and engineer Ron Anonsen has...we damn near shit our pants.

I'm pretty sure we were giggling like high-as-shit little school boys with a tasty teacher during sex-ed class.

We've been taking pictures at canvasland and shit...they'll be posted in the next few days...BUT, for now....check out our photo section if you're interested because we've added some photo's that our awesome friend Megan-Nicole took when she spent a day with us at Sonic.

Also, we've added some more of our own photo's to the Sonic Temple Drum Tracks photo album...

I can't fucking wait to hear more guitar tomorrow...shit.
We're having the time of our lives recording this record...

Have an awesome day/night...whenever you're reading this...but 420 is for smoking, not writing blogs...so I digress.

See you real soon, and thanks again,
J

Hey!!!!!

Joel here. I decided to bring my laptop to the studio today...I tend to get more shit done when I’m not at home smoking weed and passing out...

We arrived at the Sonic Temple yesterday morning at 10am. After loading in a shitty amount of gear, we spent the whole day getting the drums set up, tuned and miked. Ron Anonsen, our great friend and audio engineer, along with Sonic’s engineer Darren then spent the better part of the day getting mic placements and drum sounds to where we all wanted them.

There are some pictures from yesterday in our myspace pics section if you’re interested in checking them out...and we’ll be adding BLOGS and NEW PICS all the time for the next little while. We want the whole studio experience to be available to those of you who have expressed interest in seeing how it all goes down this time ’round.

We also got fucking wasted last night and fucked with P a shitload.

SO....DAY 2.
It’s 1:19 and we’re in the middle of tracking drums for the album’s version of Witch Hunt, things are going really well...the bass kick and snare are making my balls hurt.

That’s all for now!
Thanks for reading, and keep checking back for updates if you’re in to that kinda thing.
