Hello you.  We've added a Whalebone Polly track from their new 10" Taproot and Sill to the player. 
Not only that, when you buy the record there are two free bonus tracks to download - one new track from Whalebone Polly and a remix by the Roller Coaster Project of Good Good Light.
Taproot and Sill is a 4 track E.P. recorded in Paris over 2 days. The lush finger-picked guitar and banjo arrangements, with dustings of brass and percussion (all played by Kate and Rachael), gives a warm feeling of Arthur Russell meets the Mcgarrigle sisters. Their stripped back sound and spacious arrangements intertwine with beautiful vocal harmonies.

How To Be is the new comedy feature directed by Oliver Irving. It stars Robert Pattinson and Dreamboat Records’ own Johnny White (The Rollercoaster Project). The How To Be soundtrack will be released by Dreamboat Records on April 28.

It features three songs performed by Robert Pattinson, the original score by Joe Hastings, and tracks by The Rollercoaster Project, Love, Captain Beefheart and The Roches. Full details and track listing are available on the How To Be website.

The digital download will be available from iTunes and other retailers on April 28. The CD is available for pre-order now.

The Allender Band's "Outer Dark" can now be pre-ordered from the Dreamboat Records website, and will be yours to keep forever from March 16th.

At the Dreamboat site you'll find a chewy treat in the form of a free high quality MP3 of the track "Riverrun".




The album clocks in at 43 minutes across 7 tracks. Listeners to Gideon Coe's show on BBC6Music may have noticed Riverrun appearing not once but twice! An interview with The Allender Band will be broadcast during Steve Lamacq's BBC Radio 2 show this Wednesday July 30, 2300-0000 BST. Or, in the words of the BBC themselves, "in Steve's next show, the hotly-tipped group The Allender Band from Bristol will be telling us why they are on the lips of the most excited music journalists". The Allender Band on the lips of excited journalists? Heavens!

Anyway, please do tune in (or listen again on the website for up to a week after the show). Robin Allender and Alex Wilkins of The Allender Band will be chatting about their music, their plans for the future and playing a track.

In The Grip of Light remains on sale on our website, iTunes  and Bleep (now in FLAC for all you audiophiles). However, after heavy BBC Radio play in the last couple of weeks (Radcliffe and Maconie on Radio 2, Lamacq on both Radio 2 and 6 Music, and Gideon Coe on 6Music), our stocks are running low so get your orders in soon if you want the beautifully-packaged CD version.

The Allender Band's debut EP, In the Grip of Light, consists of rearranged versions of two songs from The Bird and the Word and two new songs written together with the band.

The EP moves away from the acoustic-based folk of The Bird and the Word towards a more expansive sound. While still featuring Allender's hushed vocal delivery and unusual, poetic lyrics, In the Grip of Light also contains elements of rock, gothic country and experimental indie.

The EP's lush, spacious melodicism recalls Red House Painters, while its subtle, dynamic arrangements show the influence of post-rock figureheads Talk Talk and The For Carnation.

Robin Allender's debut album The Bird and the Word is available for pre-order now, head to the Dreamboat Records shop to pre-order your copy at the reduced price of £6.
