Walmart Stores Inc. won't confirm that a stampede of braindead American consumers killed a Walmart employee (whose co-worker says he was "bum rushed" by a mob of "customers" who even broke the doors off their hinges).
(Walmart executives' legal counsel is probably still trying to spin this into a heartwarming consumer-driven commercial.)
However, MSNBC went ahead with the story since people on the scene, including law enforcement and emergency medical personnel, can confirm the occurence without executive spin.
Also, for you life-at-conception folks, there was another death caused by the braindead American consumers. A pregnant woman miscarried when she was knocked down and trampled a few feet from the trampled and dying Walmart employee.
MSNBC didn't actually confirm the miscarriage. They simply stated that a pregnant woman may have miscarried and quoted the paramedics who were treating her. The paramedics said, "there's nothing we can do. The [fetus] is gone."
Sure, some people will blame the commercialism of xmas, wailing for a time when people were kind and loving and full of Jesus-isms throughout December (a time which has never really existed since even the earliest xmas celebrations consisted of weeks of revelry, gluttony, and yes, rape).
But the culprit here is not Walmart, is not consumerism, is not secularization of a cult's holiday. It is the result of selfish individuals who lack restraint, self-respect, respect for others, and sanity. I sure hope those low low prices for all the crap they bought today was worth the life of a 34 year old Walmart worker making minimum wage and the heartache of a pregnant woman who has just miscarried.
Enjoy your cheap junk America.

Bush was in the Whitehouse for 8 years. For 6 of his 8 years in office, Republicans held super majority control of Congress. During his terms, Bush appointed two Supreme Court judges as well as removing all liberal/moderate federal judges.
America's religious extremists claim that God appointed Bush as president, that the Republican party represents their interests, and that a conservative judiciary rules in favor of conservative ideology.
Here is what the conservative American government didn't do when they had the power to do it:
1. Federally ban abortion.
2. Federally ban gay marriage.
3. Remove or institute the proper balance of corporate oversight in order to prevent America's financial meltdown.
4. Strengthen, rather than weaken, America's domestic infrastructure.
5. Improve rather than destroy America's global reputation.
With the election of Obama to the presidency, and the further shift of Congress toward the Left, conservatives are panicking. They're afraid of higher taxes, stricter gun laws, forced abortions, gay marriage, the coming financial depression. Why? If the Republicans (with total control of America's government) couldn't pass legislation which would allay conservative fears, why should conservatives believe that the Democrats will fulfill those same fears?
It doesn't make sense. But then again, conservatives rarely do. Being mentally disabled is generally the suspected cause of conservative nonsense.

If you still think Bush kept us safe after 911 and after invading Iraq, then consider the purpose of terrorist attacks.
Terrorists create havoc in order to instill fear in the populace. Fearmongering spreads uncertainty among communities and fosters paranoia.
While Bush was in office, terrorist attacks appeared to slack off, except in places such as Iraq (in order to keep the focus at the hub of the terrorist recruiting ground created by the U.S. invasion). (Attacks didn't actually slack off, but terrorist aggression in areas other than Iraq were not the concerted, focussed effort of a desperate terrorist community.)
We were told of the numerous "plans" which were supposedly foiled. Each of these "plans" was terribly flawed, and would never have been executable without government assistance. And yet, Bush's handlers and the American "media" still spread the lie that these "foiled plans" are evidence of Bush's power to protect us.
Now we have a terrorist attack in India which involves several "westerners" being abducted. Is this the test that so many say Obama will undergo? Doubtful, since Obama is not yet president. Is it evidence that Bush has lost the power to protect us? No, he never actually had it.
The terrorist attack in India is evidence that the shadow terrorist organizations of the world realize that they will no longer have one of their own in the Whitehouse, and therefore they must begin their campaign of fearmongering again. Of course, when I say "shadow organizations" I am not referring to the same organizations described by the media--those groups don't actually exist. I am referring to the group which worked to keep Bush in office by any means for the past 8 years, the group that demolished the WTC buildings and created the 911 terrorist scenario the media released to the public, the group (at least in part) includes members of America's own intelligence community.
So, if you still believe Bush kept us safe in the years following 911, you are a fool. 911, the Bush presidency, the Iraq invasion, the alleged War on Terror have been nothing more than a cash cow for Bush's handlers, and fodder for political bickering.

Since the election, the conservatives have been running around screaming that the end of the world is here. There's wailing and gnashing of teeth--similar to any politically motivated Christian gathering.
My local paper ran (on the front page) an article on gun sales in my area. People were lined up everywhere, stocking up on firearms because of the coming liberal crackdown on gun ownership.
Some quotes from the local paper Letters section:
"Nov. 4, 2008, a day that may forever live in infamy. May God help us."
"Barack Obama is our new president, and I am scared for our country. After talking with friends and listening to what they have to say, I know that they also are scared."
"The only positive thing to do is support what we can, and set our eyes on the election for 2012."
"The media now are responsible for the coming confiscatory taxes and overregulation, Carter-style recession/inflation/stagflation, European-style socialism/welfare/ protectionism/unionism, terrorism, liberal federal judges, free speech/gun restrictions, unlimited abortions and downward cultural spiral!"
"The polls were designed to portray Obama as the inevitable victor, guide public opinion and suppress the turnout of McCain voters."
Sadly, these are actual quotes from real people. Conservatism at this level really should be termed a psychological disorder.

Yes, I know. We should all just stop talking about her, but when the GOP decided to sabotage its own candidate's campaign in order to lose the election they did too well in picking Palin as the death blow. (And why shouldn't they sabotage their own candidate? With the mess we have now which was mostly caused by GOP policies, they want someone else to clean it up.)
I mean, she is just NOT public figure material and her views aren't relevant or even coherent half the time.
But her latest rant is priceless. First of all, she cowardly waited till she was back in her home turf of the Free State of Alaska (former U.S. state) to lash out at the McCain aides who've (according to her) made cowardly anonymous comments about her. But her response is childlike at best. She says their criticism is "cruel and it's mean-spirited, it's immature, it's unprofessional, and those guys are jerks." I wouldn't be surprised if she then squinted her heavily painted eyelids and stuck out her tongue (mannerisms which fit perfectly with her coy winking at the debates). And for good measure, she probably stamped one of her expensively clad feet.
Incidently, for all those fiscal conservatives out there, how can anyone still believe that the Republican party is the conservative party? They spent $150,000 on Palin's wardrobe during the campaign!!! In defense, a GOP mouthpiece actually asked, "what do you want her to wear? Something from LL Bean?" Well, no. I'd rather see her wear something from Kmart, since the GOP panders to the Walmart/Kmart "everyday" American.
Another beautiful comment by the former GOP VP candidate pertains to the media--"For the most part, absolutely, media persons, reporters, have been absolutely right on and there has been fairness and objectivity. There have been some stinkers, though, who have kind of made the whole basket full of apples, once in a while, smell kind of bad." "Once in a while? Kind of? Some stinkers?" THIS is what we hear from the person that conservative Republican Americans claimed was ready for the 2 top spot in American government?
Well, at least America managed to dodge THAT particular bullet, this time. I'm just glad she's back in Alaska (no doubt keeping tabs on that stinker Putin). I rest assured that if Putin rears his head, ol' caribou barbie will be watching from her front porch with designer binoculars provided by the fiscally responsible GOP.

My God!!! I listened to Obama's speech last night. Like him or not, at least he's gonna bring back some intelligence to the Whitehouse.
After 8 years of the smirking chimp who makes up words like a 5 year old, it's nice to hear someone speak clearly, use real words accurately, and can give a 20 minute speech without being prompted, referring to notes or having his script piped through an almost, but not quite, invisible earpiece.
In 2004, despite irregularities in voting and rampant vote fraud, Dubya claimed a "mandate from the people" because the "official" count discounted all the illegality of most of the votes and decided Dubya "won" the election by a scant majority. Hopefully, Dubya now sees what a real mandate from the people is--349 to 173.
Since we started the campaign season early this time around, I say we start the inauguration early as well. Just swear in Obama and Biden now and run Spurious George and Darth Cheney out of the country.

I just read an article claiming to give us all an insight into Bush's thoughts on his abominable reputation. The author of that tidbit could've saved us all a lot of time by simply printing these words: "Bush thinks he's right, has always been right, and isn't it nice that people are free to express themselves"
Bush continues to refuse to indulge in any sort of introspection. Though he admits "mistakes", he still maintains his complete and utter innocence in all things. He claims every action he's taken in the past 8 years was done with the best of intentions for every American citizen without regard to politics, or other personal ideologies.
The worst of it is that Bush really believes his own flim flam.
As usual, the article quoted Bush and others (friends and strangers alike) in a sad attempt to paint him as the misunderstood (or misunderestimated) man in the Whitehouse.
What the article actually accomplishes is the unavoidable depiction of Bush as an out-of-touch egomaniac who can do no wrong despite all evidence to the contrary. Maybe THAT is why so many conservative evangelicals love (or loved) him. Bush embodies the evangelical belief system. Despite reality, all scientific evidence and common sense, evangelicals STILL believe what their religion tells them to believe. It doesn't matter to them that their religious beliefs were fabricated and that the exercise of their belief system relies on the indulgence of a secular society.
That's how it is with Bush. The reality doesn't matter to Bush; it's what he believes that decides his success.
Humph! Nice world view. I think I'll adopt it. Ta-da! I am now a billionaire and the supreme master of the universe! Wow! What a rush!!!

Why would God promote George W Bush and then permit Satan to undermine EVERYTHING he tried to do?
Why would Sarah Palin, a fellow Christian, claim that George W Bush is a failure that is hurting her chances of getting into office?
How can you continue to claim God is all-powerful and all-knowing when he can't even thwart the political machinations of Satan?

In her latest interview, the soccermom whacko from Alaska tells America that the biggest obstacle to the Republican ticket is George W Bush.
These people must be constantly DIZZY.
George W Bush was supported in 2000 and in 2004 by the extreme christians in America. George W Bush was touted as God's appointed man. George W Bush claimed that the stolen 2004 election was a mandate from The People even though the faked election results still only showed a slight majority in his favor.
For the past 8 years, George W Bush and his supporters have been chanting GOD GOD GOD. For the past 8 years, George W Bush's corporate masters have been in charge of the Whitehouse.
George W Bush's presidency has only brought death, destruction, and despair. But through it all, christian Bush supporters still claim that Bush is a good man.
Now, Palin (running as a female Bush with a Bush-lite running mate) now blames her and McCain's dying campaign on the unpopularity of Bush, the lame duck president who will be forever known as the worst president in American history.
No, Mrs Palin, it isn't Bush that is making you and the old man so unpopular. You won't win this election because you are a nutjob and your old running mate is a damaged vet in desperate need of psychological counseling. McCain should find some help--maybe he can afford it if he sells a few of his homes (supposing he even remembers where half of them are). As for you, Mrs Palin, you should just go back to Alaska and continue scamming American tax money for bridges to nowhere and giving high paying jobs to unqualified family members and political contributors. Afterall, you have an illegitimate grandchild on the way thanks to your unwed, underage daughter.

After a decade of GOP rule in Congress, 8 years of it with GOP control of the executive branch, the GOP Whitehouse now requests a $700 billion bailout for banking institutions which will be paid for by taxpayers.
As usual, Dumbya wants to rush this bill through Congress during an election year because (and I quote) Bush says, "We're going to work with Congress to get a bill done quickly. This is a big package because it was a big problem." Really? A big problem? (as usual, Dumbya didn't give any details because he doesn't know any of the details and his earpiece can't process the words fast enough for him to repeat whatever excuses his masters have for this stupid bail out) No doubt this "problem" was caused by the Democrats who haven't been in control of anything but their own potty breaks until 2 years ago.
The "problem" couldn't stem from the fact that the GOP has been dismantling safeguards and permitting corporate America to run amok for 10 years, could it? Naw, everybody knows that whatever the GOP does is in the best interests of the American people. Afterall, ALL Republican politicians are good ol' Christians. Christians wouldn't do anything bad.
Back to my main complaint. Why should ALL taxpayers foot the bill for the thousands of idiots who, having bloated self-entitlement perceptions, took out mortgages they shouldn't have from unfettered banking institutions who always intended to up the flexible rates?
Think about it for a minute. Banker says, here John Smith, have some money. Yeah, you don't have the income for it, but we'll "loan" to you the money for a house and then let you pay it back at an irresistably low rate. However we'll make the interest rate flexible based on [insert financial mumbo jumbo jargon here]. Now, sign on the dotted line. Oh, don't worry, your rates will never go up THAT much, they might even go down (wink wink).
In short, mortgage lenders suckered the typical self-indulgent low-wage American into low-rate mortgages, raised interest rates (as they'd planned to do all along), and, now that these low wage earners can't pay their mortgages and these financial institutions can't collect even a fraction of their payouts, they want Uncle Sam (via taxpayers) to bail them out of their situation caused by bad (get richer quicker) business practices.
But then again, the deficit that Bush has run up (after inheriting and destroying the Clinton surplus) is already at 10+ trillion dollars and this "bail out" will only add another trillion. What's another trillion on your great-grandkids' future tax bills?
Look at the bright side, as they are going now, the dollar won't be around much longer anyway and we can expect the rest of the world to give us handouts (like North Korea and all third world countries get). Afterall, Bush has started making nuclear (pronounced nuke-you-ler) bombs again. America can just aim at rich countries and extort money, food, etc., in exchange for NOT being a terrorist nation.
