It took some time but it was worth waiting: The Joy of Life/Apoptose LP "Warrior Creed" was released on the day of the Winter Solstice 2008! Mastering was completed on Summer Solstice so this release is perfectly in tune with the cosmic cycle. You see, we do everything to enhance your listening pleasure...The gatefold cover became a real beauty. You'll love it! Please check the recently updated "Artwork" space on the Apoptose website for a closer look. You can also listen to some song-previews here on the myspace player. The LP is available now from TESCO and in the coming weeks from the usual special interest dealers. It is limited to 600 copies, so don't wait too long! Some people asked if "Warrior Creed" would be released on CD as well. Sorry, but at the moment there are no plans to do that.

Hi!
I uploaded previews of two songs off the forthcoming Warrior Creed LP to the Apoptose myspace music player. It seems that mp3 compression alters the sound of snare drums in a very unkind way. But don't worry: the LP will sound crispy! It should be available quite soon.
Best wishes, Rüdiger / Apoptose
Joy of Life / Apoptose 'Warrior Creed' LP
Details: LP, 5 tracks, 37 minutes Label: TESCO Organisation Cat.-No.: TESCO 072 Release date: December 2008 It was in 1988 when the British post punk group Joy of Life released their song »Warrior Creed«. Apoptose would never forget this track: the impressive vocals, the stoic drums, the minimalistic keyboards. 20 years later »Warrior Creed« is back – seen though Apoptose’s eyes. The voice of Joy of Life leadsinger Gary Carey has matured and the rhythm section is reinforced by an entire band of drummers, the Fanfarenzug Leipzig. Now the music sounds even darker. This Joy of Life/Apoptose-LP celebrates the return of that classic song. It features two new interpretations by Apoptose, both sung by Gary Carey, alongside the original Joy of Life version which was unavailable for more than a decade. Live-in-studio recordings of the onstage trance drumming rituals by Apoptose and the Fanfarenzug Leipzig amplify the intoxicating effect of this vinyl-only release. The LP is limited to 600 copies and packed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with bronze coloured embossing.

We are delighted to announce that we just finished the work on a joint LP with Gary Carey of Joy of Life. Two of its features are a new interpretation of the legendary Joy of Life song "Warrior Creed" alongside the long out of print original version of this track. People who saw Apoptose on stage will be happy to hear that the Fanfarenzug Leipzig, the marching band that provided the impressive live percussion, is responsible for most of the drumming on this LP. This limited and vinyl-only item is hopefully ready for release by Tesco in late summer. More info soon.

Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe? Who cares? Let's talk about the really important awards: "Schattenmädchen" was voted "Best dark ambient album 2007" by the editors of Stigmata magazine from Belarus (sharing the top spot with Desiderii Marginis). And that is not all: Our live show in Wroclaw/Poland last November was voted in the Top 5 "Best concerts of 2007" by the readers of the Beast of Prey magazine. Thanks to all who voted!

During the past months several copies of a so called "limited edition" of the latest Apoptose album "Schattenmädchen" surfaced in different online shops, some at ridiculously high prices. Judging from pictures and descriptions, this item consists of the original album and an additional CD-R of unknown contents. The labelprint of the CD-R says "Apoptose feat. Kenji Siratori" but this claim is wrong! There are only two collaborative tracks of Kenji Siratori and Apoptose. Both are featured on the regular "Schattenmädchen" album CD. We just want to clarify that this "bonus" CD-R is neither authorised nor manufactured by Apoptose or Tesco Organisation. It is in no way part of the original concept and package of "Schattenmädchen" and does not contain any music by Apoptose. So we can only recommend to think twice before buying it! If this package is more expensive than a regular album you'll be simply ripped off! Tesco printed "Schattenmädchen" in sufficient quantities. So everybody who is interested can obtain a copy for a reasonable price at most industrial/experimental mailorders worldwide. If you like to have something more special you can even get an autographed and dedicated album directly from nordland[at]apoptose[dot]net at regular CD and postage rates. Best wishes! Rüdiger / Apoptose
