.....and I know it's really insignificant when you compare it to the war in Iraq, the plight of the black man in the world today and things of that nature.  But it is in response to what I have observed way too many times during my daily commute this winter.  "What is it?", you may ask.  Well, I'll tell ya.  I have seen too many people on the subway and on the streets wearing their winter jackets with THE TAG ON THE SLEEVE STILL ATTACHED!!!!

You know what I'm talking about, the little tag on your left sleeve that touts the fabric content of your winter coat, suit jacket, etc.  "100% Wool"  "Cashmere Blend"  "Suit by DKNY"  Come on, what's the deal?  Your jacket is all wool, big deal.  You have a 10% Cashmere coat, well look at my sleeve, it says 20% Cashmere.  Nicca What.

Can someone explain this to me?  Maybe it can be traced to the black man's tendency to leave tags all all types of clothing; Tims, Hats, and lately hoodies have all been worn in with the tags still on.  Remember BBD?

Okay, so maybe I just explained it to myself, but it's still wack.  For Real.  I know, think about it deep enough and it goes back to black folks being proud of what they very well could have saved long and hard for and just like to show off.  But at the end of the day, it is a tag meant to be removed so go 'head, pop them tags!
