After watching the news for a couple hours yesterday I realized that this country is full of idiots and here is my ranting as to why. First off, the hurricane. Apparently one of the cities in Texas believed the hurricane was going to hit from the shore, but instead it came around and hit from behind. The fun part of this is that they only boarded up one side of there homes and now the other side has been torn up. I personally would board up all the windows, since its a god damn hurricane! Next would be the statements made by our president that explains our current economy issues by stating that the economy is drunk and then laughs. He's an idiot for saying it and more importantly I don't see whats so funny about a screwed up economy and a housing market thats leaving thousands homeless. Next, while I fully support Obama I think its a little foolish that he's currently campaigning in Europe while McCain is here attempting to ruin his credibility. Which brings me to the fun topic of McCain, if you support him you may want to turn away now! For starters he supports off shore drilling which is bringing oil stock down thus lowering gas prices but its a very short term solution and runs the risk of more oil getting into the oceans. He also is against gays in the military. Since 1993 over 12000 people have been kicked out of the military for being gay, including pilots, medics, intelligence, etc. It seems to me that somebody who is so supportive of the war should be more open minded to keeping people that are well qualified. And finally the man that bases so much on what a great military leader he is, apparently can't even give an accurate timeline of the events that have taken place in Iraq in the last several months, when question on this he made a point to recite even more inaccurate events which I thought was pretty funny!
