So we really had no idea what to expect when we took off for Starbuck, MN (in which there are NO Starbucks, in case you were wondering) this morning. We half-expected to find ourselves setting up our amps amid a line of dairy cows, keeping an eye out for the errant hoof or road apple.
To our pleasant surprise though, it turned out to be an AWESOME event, which was actually far more organized than a lot of clubs that we've played! We wish we would have gotten a later time slot, as the people really started pouring in around 8pm, but we were a late add, so it was understandable. The organizer said he loved us and wants to put us much later next year so we have a bigger crowd to entertain!
Our sincerest thanks to the people at Udderfest, and to all the bands who played and brought in fans to enjoy everybody's music. It made for a rockin' experience!!

We're very excited to announce that we are now endorsed by Basson Sound Equipment, the speaker cab manufacturer of choice for Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue, Sixx A.M.), Stevie Benton (Drowning Pool), Mike Davis (Halford), and many others!
Mik and I (Marc) will be fully backlined by Basson speaker cabinets for our upcoming shows and look forward to experiencing the has-to-be-heard-to-be-believed power and tone raved about by musicians across the globe!
Here's what they have to say about Beautiful Trigger:
"When looking at bands to endorse, I have
to evaluate the group from the perspective of an investor, a marketing analyst,
a musician and a music fan... If a band
meets two or three criteria, that's exemplary.
Beautiful Trigger met all four!" - Sean McAnally (Basson Sound Equipment)
A big "thank you" out to Basson Sound Equipment, and we look forward to rocking our new cabs! Check them out at: http://www.bassonsound.com

Hey all, Marc here! If you were thinking it was Carly talking, sorry to disappoint ;-)
I was driving today listening to one of my playlists and I thought that
I'd like to share some song nuances that really get me going, so here's
a brief list of my favorites. Enjoy!
- Evanescence - Bring Me To Life (1:15): When the drums kick in mid-phrase, awesome power on the kick!
- Evanescence - Tourniquet (1:07): Amy's brief roll into
falsetto AND (1:38) the rhythmic enunciation on "re-mem-ber"
- Megadeth - Almost Honest (2:51): Double-kick following the guitar solo line
- Guns n' Roses - Nightrain (2:07): The start of Slash's first
solo. You can tell this was his favorite song to play!
- Avenged Sevenfold - Scream (0:34): Neck slide on the guitar
- Alice in Chains - Rooster (2:07): Everything just explodes in your face!
- Alice in Chains - Man in the Box (3:55): When Layne stays on the high note on "eyes," so much emotion!
- Nine Inch Nails - Right Where It Belongs (3:12): The noise of the crowd...
- Radiohead - Creep (0:59): You know what part I'm talking about :-)
- Velvet Revolver - Slither (1:48): Matt dancing on the hi-hat
- Sixx:A.M. - Life Is Beautiful (2:15): Drums kicking in. Never
thought a sequenced drum track would do it for me the way this part
does... such a simple part, too. kudos!
Sounds like I have an affinity for sweet drum parts... good thing we have a pretty freakin' sweet drummer!
Later!

Lots of news to greet you on this beautiful day (not often
that anyone is envious of the weather in Minnesota)!
First, Beautiful Trigger has been selected to be featured on
the “Women of Substance Radio Show”! The station features female artists and
singer/songwriters that deliver high quality music that speaks to listeners
through vocal excellence, depth of character and emotion. We’re honored to have

Second, we are very proud to announce the newest addition to
the BT family, Sean Hill. Sean will be coming on as our second guitarist, and
is bringing in loads of great ideas for our previous songs as well as for some
BRAND NEW tracks that are in the works!
THIRD (told you there was a lot of news!!), we have entered
the world of Twitter, and are cordially inviting you to stay connected with us

So we know you guys have been asking when we will finally have t-shirts available for purchase, and we're happy to say that we now have one (and a pretty nice looking one, I might add) ready! Go check it out under the "Merchandise" section of our MySpace page, where you can buy one (or 7, or 19...) online through PayPal for just $10 (+$2 shipping). The first round of shipments will head out on May 18, 2009.
In other news, if you haven't heard already, we are now on iTunes as well! You can order all 5 tracks from our debut EP for $0.99 each by clicking on "Purchase MP3s" under the "Merchandise" section of our MySpace home page. Of course hard copies of our EP are still available under the same section.
Hope you had a rockin' Cinco de Mayo weekend and we'll see you soon!
