What people are saying about this film:

"This is a love story. Really. Sure, the title leads you to believe it's all about the people and planes of general aviation as manifested in Van Nuys Airport near Los Angeles, but it's really all about the love affair so many of us have with aviation. It just happens to be wrapped around the story of Van Nuys and the many people who've brought it to life over the past decades. It's about every airport and every pilot who ever loved his local airport and his fellow pilots."

H.G, Frautschy, Vintage Airplane Magazine

"To start this review I will simply say that this film is truly awesome and inspiring. It's not so much about the airport, the pilots or the planes, but more about the passion and freedom of flying. The thing that gets in a lot of people when they're young and never lets go. The itch to want to be in the sky, but always knowing where home is when it's time to come back down. The story is also about the "little" airports that are in a lot of neighborhoods across America, but which are fading fast. People don't care for them because of the noise and all, but they serve a purpose and for a lot of people, maybe seeing this film will make them understand that purpose a little more. The musical score is terrific, especially the main theme. Guitarist Freddy Clarke provides some excellent music and his playing is terrific. If you get a chance to see this film I think that you'll truly enjoy it, more so if you have a passion for aviation past and present."

"This is not a movie about airplanes. This is not a movie about pilots. This is a movie about passion. Yes airplanes are the main subject along with Van Nuys airport, but its about the awe that flying can give a person.

This is beautifully done. Beautiful cinematography, amazing sights and sounds and a score that will transport you to a different place as you watch. Just the music itself is enough to make you cry. Not sad tears, but tears of joy, of how truly wonderful what your watching is. There were times during the movie when I was welling up with how graceful and alluring that the passion of flying is.

When a movie gives you emotion, especially genuine delightfulness, from watching it, then you know this is something great.

If there is one movie in this world that is magical.......this is it."
