yeah. it's nice. and it's kind of scary. I really liked telling every person of the opposite sex to fuck themselves and happily chillin' on my couch alone at the end of the night, and not worrying about getting hurt or something equally stupid. But that gets lonely, and only so many bottles of liquor can be consumed alone on your couch before you start to feel sorry for yourself.
Fuck it, if this is a stupid decision it's only one in a long list, so I might as well dive in and see where it takes me.
Also, I tried to include "what I'm listening to", but myspace is unaware of many good artists apparently. Gripper, it's a good track, you should hear it sometime. Put a smile on your fat fucking face.

It's such a huge relief to be single. It's been a while. I'm not sleeping with / interested in anyone at all, and it's a relief. I go to work, I (sometimes) go to class, I go out, I do what I want, and I come home. No questions asked. No explaining myself to some guy who doesn't understand me at all anyway, no trying to prove to someone that I'm not cheating on them when they don't believe me, none of it. So far, I've spent almost my entire life answering to my parents, and if not my parents, a boyfriend who is just as protective over me as my parents were when I was younger.
The one time I had a comfortable relationship, I wasn't happy with it and now I feel as if I threw it away over something that seems so petty now. I could kick myself for it, but then again, it brought me to a better understanding of myself. My parents learned years ago that I'm capable of handling myself and the situations I get myself into, and I wish the people I date would realize that too. I'm not sure that any guy will understand where I'm coming from and respect my ideals and trust my actions... so I will remain single and just stay out of that whole mess altogether.
I can't wait to live alone. I'm not sure how much longer I plan to stay in Honolulu... lately I've been thinking that my flight in June would be my return to the mainland, but perhaps that will only be a visit.... I'm letting it up to fate; my living situation and my job will decide for me whether I stay in Philadelphia in June, or if I use that as a vacation and return to Honolulu for a few more months. If I decide to stay here, it will probably be just for a few more months, and give me more time to travel to other places less accessible from the East coast mainland.
Regardless of where I end up, I'm happy with my own personal time and space for the time being. I love that I can enjoy the company of friends of any gender and not have to deal with someone being jealous if the time is not spread evenly between everyone. I want to be completely independent and though I feel that I'm on my way toward that in a financial sense, I haven't (until now) allowed myself that luxury mentally or emotionally. I'm excited for the time that I do end up back in Philadelphia, where I can hopefully afford a place to live by myself. Alone.

Category: Friends
From Monday til yesterday evening I was up in northeastern PA, visiting my parents and old friends.
Monday: Alley and I left Philadelphia. I had to start up 95 to pick her up, so I thought I’d continue up 95 to the turnpike... but I was looking for 476, and didn’t realize that I had to take 276 to get to 476... so I ended up in New Jersey, and then when we finally got to the turnpike my oil light came on. I stopped at a rest stop, pulled the hood release and SNAPPED THE FUCKING HANDLE OFF. It took about an hour to try to figure out what to do, and as I was trying to remove the kick panel, some guy came over and reached up in the dash with my pliers and popped the hood. -.- So, the trip took us from 9:30am until I think around 2pm, and what should have been a 150 mile drive became 230. woops. When we got into Bloomsburg we went straight to Taco Bell and met up with my dad, Josh, Sara and Angel. After that we went to Angel’s and watched an old OAS show on tape. THEN we went to my parents’ and began drinking with mommy, and I called everyone in my phone that lives in that area, but no one called me back and/or was free that night. [HAWT TUB PICS HERE]
Tuesday: dropped my car off in Bloom for an alignment, met up with Lisa, and then my parents picked us up and took us to Bennigan’s. My mom took Alley and I to the mall and I got a new phone, a cute new dress, and a few new shirts. Decided to stay home later that night, and Luke came over and got drunk in the hot tub with us. Right after Luke left, Josh came over and hung out for a bit. We watched the first 20 minutes of Battle Royale and went to sleep.
Wednesday: Originally we were going to stay in and do girl stuff. We ended up driving past World’s End way into the fucking time warp and experiencing something new and fucking hilarious. I’m not going to say in this what exactly that is... but you can bet your money that my dad is the funniest person ever. Interesting drive back through World’s End, then Josh came over and we went to the Big Chill for ice cream, then for a walk because it was a beautiful night. Alley and I peed on some corner of intersecting side streets. I went first, and right as I squatted there were loud alarms and police sirens not far away; made it impossible to pee, jesus christ.
Thursday: Josh woke me up at 9am after his dentist appt. Went to WalMart for latex gloves, and ate at Panera Bread. I dyed Alley’s hair. [PHOTOBOOTH PICS HAPPENED HERE] We ate some amazing pierogies for dinner, and discovered that mozzarella sticks taste awesome with marinara sauce plus sour cream. Went to Angel’s for a party for Jarret for a bit, had a drink there (and in that time managed to get the entire living room enthusiastically joining in with Alley and I singing Tainted Love) and then headed to Luke’s and watched a B-movie with him and his friend Corey + girlfriend. I got ridiculously trashed somehow, then we went to Luke’s friend’s house and smoked, and I was falling asleep sitting there. Went back to Luke’s and passed out the second I got in the door.
Friday: Alley and I left Luke’s and went to the Bloom Taco Bell, then dropped my car off for another appt. Josh and Luke met us there, and we went to Centralia (Luke drove). Took lots of pictures, I’ll upload those tonight or tomorrow. By the time we got back to my house, my dad had picked up my car, but I couldn’t use it because the assholes that worked on it put the tire rods on backwards, so they rubbed the tires if the wheels were turned at all. Andy (Josh’s bf) came over, and Alley and I got a quick shower & all prettied, then we went with Luke to the Wilkes-Barre Bennigan’s while Andy drove Josh back to his car in Bloom and then they came and met us. We had a lovely meal, and before I could even see the check sneaky little Andy paid for it all on his card. I still feel bad about that, he shouldn’t have done that... he’s too nice. We stopped at a bowling alley for ten minutes but it was packed and there was no way we could get a lane. Josh and Andy left cause Josh felt sick, and Luke, Alley and I got some alcohol and went to the Twist (gay all-ages club in Wilkes-Barre). Luke and I felt a bit out of place; we thought we remembered the music being a LOT better, but the dj was basically spinning bad house all night, plus a bad remix of the Casper Slide... at which point I was dancing like a retard of awesomeness. BUT Alley seemed to like it, which was the whole point anyway. She most enjoyed the dragshow duet at midnight. Before 1:30 we had already decided we were too hot and tired. As we walked toward the door I ran into Jeremiah, who I haven’t seen since the summer after we graduated high school. and Caitlyn, who I also haven’t seen since that summer. And I’m sure I saw my gay neighbor from my parents’ house in the corner pretending not to see me.
Saturday: Woke up close to noon, Luke drove us back to my parents’ house. I couldn’t find them so I left a message on my mom’s cell and got a shower and packed all my shit, still no word from them so we left. 100 miles closer to Philly, my dad called me and told me they were at my uncle’s house. (My mom had told me all week they were going to my uncle’s house on SUNDAY for an easter thing...) So, we arrived back in Philly, I dropped Alley off at her house, then at 7pm parked at my apt and walked to imri’s for Ian’s 30 hours of 30 birthday party. I got home with Wally at 6am, and slept like NEVER BEFORE!

The Johari Window was invented by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham in the 1950s as a model for mapping personality awareness. By describing yourself from a fixed list of adjectives, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of overlap and difference can be built up. You are reading this page because EnneFace wants to know how you'd describe him or her - pick the five or six words from the list below that you think describe EnneFace the best. (You can set up your own Johari Window afterwards, if you like.) DO IT!!

So we arrive at what is apparently the VIP Lounge. there's a $10 cover, but Kelly and I didn't want to pay it, so I ask at the door, "Is there a cover?" and Jon-owner says "Not for you."
so Kelly and I make our way through the ridiculously loud and overperfumed crowd to go upstairs, and Evan offers to hold our jackets behind the booth. We go back downstairs so we can at least GET to the bar, and order vodka drinks. We're served pint glasses instead of the smaller glasses everyone else has... and free of charge.
some girl asks Kelly where her costume is, and kelly responds "where's yours?!" aaahahahahahahh.
"As soon as we have to pay for something, we're leaving." - Kelly "want another?" nah. "I don't blame you." - bartender so we left to go to Fluid where wally and imri were waiting. "The VIPs are hey here!"
after sitting through a green light, and almost turning up a one-way: "I don't pay attention to traffic laws."
Wally was pretty drunk, and had a flask with him. we went to a crappy party nobody wanted to go to but imri, and I couldn't get in, so we dropped imri off and left to go get cheesesteaks.
Wally was going on about how hard he was, and that somebody was gonna get whacked off, and he was going to explode all over somebody's face he's so hard.
That was a fun night, I just can't believe I was home by 1:30am. And nobody got any chickens. ;]

Current mood: bored
I just deleted all my old blogs. Yes, all those great pics of Josh and I being retarded.... gone. Why? My server host apparently crashed or something and has been down for a majority of the summer... and I assume they're not going to get back in touch with me anytime soon. I still own TheIntrawebz, but alllllll the pics I had hotlinked from it are gone cause they were, well, all on a server that seems to no longer exist.
I kept my blog of the Golf Cart Catastrophe, even though the pics don't load there either. It's still a good story.
I forgot what else I wanted to post here. I even left this thing for two hours and came back to it.... and I still have no recollection. :[

OKAY so, it's storytime. At work one of the golf carts' battery went dead, so Jeremiah was trying to jump it with his car. It would drive when connected, but if we removed the cables it would die (because you can't just turn a golf cart on and leave it on, as most of you should know...) so the idea was, I'd crouch down next to the seat (the seat had to be lifted to reach the battery) and push the gas pedal, while jeremiah quickly removed the cables, then I'd drive down the parking lot and turn around so he could jump on as I drove past... because if the foot comes off the pedal, the cart stops moving until we jump it again. So as crazy as this idea was, it worked, the first time around. So then Jamie (the camp supervisor // our boss) told us to jump it and get it to the shed where the chargers are, so we're like okay no problem! BUT of course this time the steering wheel was turned all the way to the left and neither of us really noticed.... so I press the pedal down and go flying to the left in a really tight turn, which resulted in me not being able to get to the brake, and slamming into the back end of Jeremiah's jeep-type thing. I'm sure you all know how golf carts have the metal poles on both sides in the front to support the roof.... the right side of my face smacked right into it, and then I spun around in the cart and fell off into the grass behind the jeep... somehow, my glasses smacked into the pole and pushed against my face and fell off, not damaging them at all. (THANK GOD my Pradas are safe, ha!) I felt like I had done little more than bang my head off a wall, so I sat there laughing. Well my gums right around my front right tooth and the one right next to it started bleeding so I started freaking out about that, making sure that my veneers were okay (which they are)... and I didn't even realize I had a massive gash in my head. AND, today was like the only day this summer so far that I brought my purse with me to work too... which means I had my camera, which equals AWESOME NEW BLOG of course! So, I took these at work directly after the incident: bloody gums ^ mmmm sweaty face and frizzy hair... I <3 work So I run over to the doctors at the camp, and I'm like hey could you put something on this for me? and one of them looks at it and says hey that's pretty deep, go to the ER because they might want to put a couple stitches in that... so Jeremiah offers to drive me there. We got to the ER around 7:30pm... sat there til about 10:30pm. When I finally saw a doctor, I was sitting on a bed in the hallway, and he's like oh just lay back here and I'll stitch that quick.... "are you self conscious about me doing this in the hallway?" hah. I'm like woow.... no. So he says, for the volume of people there, there should be at LEAST 15 rooms... and there're seven. so he's stitching away as my face is bleeding all over this bed in the hallway, and I laid there waving at people walking down the hall. In the end, I got six stitches, and what looks like a few crazy-long eyebrow hairs. ^.^ see all the blood and iodine all over my forehead? :] aahhhh I love golf carts.
