Our most recent song/track has been compiled with the cooperation of Intidhar Kammarti, the great Tunisian singer.
Intidhar Kammarti is an initiated keeper of the Sufi tradition, thus her voice's spiritual richness elevates the music of First Aid 4 Souls to higher artistic planes. Within our panartistic project, Norbert Szük, fine artist, painted his new picture 'The Caravan' - visual commentary - about our new track.
According to the tradition of Arabian numerology, we ask for God's blessing - 'Bismillah
al-Rahman al-Rahim' - on our groupwork with the song entitled '786', in order to manifest how harmoniously can the artists of the East and West work and live together.

Da ist es nun also, das offizielle "Debüt" der ungarischen Ausnahmelektroniker von First Aid 4 Souls. Debüt ist dabei relativ zu sehen, denn einerseits existiert die Band bzw. ihre Vorgänger schon seit Anfang der 90er Jahre und gab unzählige Konzerte, andererseits erschien bereits ein Doppelalbum beim Kultlabel Some Bizarre, dass aber auf Grund von Lizenzschwierigkeiten nie offiziell vertrieben wurde und das heute eine gesuchte Rarität ist.

"Brutpop", welches nun in Zusammenarbeit mit dem jungen teutonischen Electro Arc-Label herausgebracht wird, macht dann auch von Anfang an deutlich, dass es sich hierbei nicht um eine stümperhafte Attacke von Hobby-Knöpfchendrehern auf das internationale Musik-Business handelt, sondern um ein durchgehend professionelles Statement, ein Manifest einer gereiften Band, die es nicht nötig hat, sich erst einmal selbst zu definieren.

Die 13 Tracks des Albums sind demnach auch keine endlose Variation eines Themas, sondern vielschichtige und äußerst abwechslungsreiche Electrotracks, die ahnen lassen, welch ungeheures künstlerisches Potential in István Gazdag und seinen Kumpanen ruht. Stilistisch lassen sich FA4S als moderner technoider Electro beschreiben, der spielend den Spagat zwischen Tanzflächentauglichkeit und elegischer Anmut schafft. Ein tragendes Element stellen natürlich die Vocals dar, die bei "Brutpop" von einem halben Duzent befreundeter Künstler beigesteurt werden.

Erstaunlicherweise zerreißt dieser Umstand nicht die innere Homogenität des Gesamtwerks, im Gegenteil, es scheint, als sei für jede emotionale und musikalische Nuance der perfekte Interpret gesucht und gefunden worden. So bietet Linda Daemon von Drugzone kraftvolle Powerweib-Vocals, die bekannte ungarische Jazz-Pop-Interpretin Eszter Ágoston engelgleichen Feen-Gesang, während Aaron Russell von Inpurfekt, einer seit langem mit FA4S in Freundschaft verbundenen Band mit ähnlich musikalischer Brillianz, mehr für finster-athmosphärische Parts sorgt. Mark Duffield von der Wave-Formation "I Am One" klingt v.a. bei "The Unborn Child" schon sehr nach Jean-Luc De Meyer.

Letztendlich kann man mit Fug und Recht behaupten, "Brutpop" ist ein Album, dass sich nicht in Worte fassen lässt, man muss es erleben, erfahren, um sich eine Meinung davon bilden zu können. Es bedient keinerlei Klischees und Stereotype. Ganz wild könnte man sagen, FA4S sind ein Gulasch aus Implant, Front 242, Mentallo & The Fixer, Attrition, Ravers Nature und diversen Alfa Matrix-Bands. Aber selbst das wird dem Soundkosmos von István Gazdag und seinen Mannen nicht gerecht.

Meine Anspieltipps sind "Painkiller", "The Unborn Child" und "Wings Of Morpheus".
