Edward Bogan, a teenage boy raised by his mother and grandfather in New Burgh city, finds his world twisted. This day began like any normal day for Eddie, he went to high school, was in the 10th grade, and had just gotten bullied by Tony "Vicious" Brunette, the local jock-bully. After school, with a black eye, Eddie made his way to the museum were his grandfather worked. His grandfather talked to him about what happened and took Eddie into a part of the museum that was closed off, The Viking exhibit. There he showed Eddie the figure of a man from stories he told him a long time ago. His grandfather had a face like a child, and he told Eddie that he is happy to see a piece of his family history in the museum. Eddie's grandfather gave him a necklace with a charm in the shape of the eye that was displayed in the exhibit: the eye of Odin; it was made of solid gold, with a crystal set in the center. A smashing crash was heard throughout the museum as a massive figure went tromping through the museum.

Eddie grandfather made Eddie stay in the exhibit and his grandfather made his way to the front of the museum. Eddie stood there scared, not knowing what was happening, and then he heard gunshots and his grandfather yelling. Eddie screamed out and gripped the eye of Odin, it sparked. Eddie blasted by blinding light that engulfed him, and turned him into a new age Viking; he had the suit, a black and burgundy color, and he wore a helmet just like the one in the Viking display, with a skull concealing the face. The Behemoth smashed his way throughout the museum. The confused Eddie ran to the sound of destruction and came face to face with the Behemoth, a massive metallic, fighting suit with horns protruding from the top. Scared of the "power house" figure he was facing, he couldn't move. The Behemoth slammed his massive fists upon Eddie. Eddie blocked and managed to barely stop the strike. He looked up and saw that he was barely blocking the attack and tried to hold it longer as he was being crushed into the floor. The Behemoth stroked again and smashed Eddie through the floor. The Behemoth went through it as well, and they both came crashing down. They were in the basement of the museum. Eddie got back to his feet, and the Behemoth seemed to have been damaged in the fall. Eddie thought quickly as the Behemoth went back on the rampage. He managed to avoid the Behemoth, and then he came up with a plan. If he could get the Behemoth to smash into the support beams, then maybe he could bring the rest of the ceiling down on himself.

Eddie lured The Behemoth into the various support beams and as the behemoth smashed them, the ceiling began to shake furiously. Eddie leapt out of the basement as the ceiling came crashing down. Behemoth brought the ceiling down on himself, crushing the armor suit and revealing a scrawny, little man wired up inside it. The weird fluid that was being pumped into him, that made him a massive, was leaking out. The police arrived and Eddie kneeled down by his grandfather, "Are you going to be alright?" His grandfather looked at him and smiled, he knew that this man was his grandson; he knew that he had become the Viking. "You are the Viking aren't you, Eddie?" He nodded to the question his grandfather had presented him, and then jumped up to the sounds of sirens. He walked outside through a hole made by the Behemoth and stood on the museum steps before a series of armed police officers, helicopters, and several news squads. Eddie dodged his way back to his grandfather as the officers ordered for his surrender. He tried to ask his grandfather how to change back to normal, but there was no hope of it. Swat teams began pouring in around him and the hole that Behemoth still remained unconscious in. Eddie panicked; he needed a way out of there without having them trying to harm him. "He couldn't get caught like this," he thought to himself and then it happened. The fleece around his neck turned into a living bolt of electricity that swept under his feet and flew him straight through the gaping hole and over everyone outside. He blasted past the helicopter and kept flying, Eddie began to figure out that he could control this bolt of lightning with his mind. So, he headed his way on home, shooting throughout the city dashing around buildings and over his high school football field during a game, shouting with joy and excitement, "I AM THE VIKING!"

In the top of the towering structure of Norse Industries, there was a man watching all of the news channels that were featuring the image of the Viking. He called out to the man who was the president and face of Norse Industries, "Trask Fist". The short bulky man came into the room and stood before the man who had called for him, "Yes, how may I serve you my Lord Loki?" Loki a young looking man who had his hair slick back, a black color, and who was wearing an all black suit with a bright red tie. He set his drink down to the side and pointed to the screen. "The powers of the Viking have fallen into the hands of another mortal. After so long it slips through my fingers again, what do you plan to do about this, Trask?"

Trask pulled a small remote out of his pocket and clicked it to reveal a screen featuring several figures. "We will use them to destroy this new Viking and give you his powers, my Lord." Loki laughed viciously getting up out of his chair and gripped Trask by the throat, "They better, or you are dead, Trask!" Flinging him off to the side, Loki peered out the glass and looked out over the nightly lighted city, "I own every inch of this wretched city, and no one will stop me from becoming like that of a god again using the powers of the Viking, not even Odin could save this world from my wrath, this time."

Current mood:  blah

There are many common stereotypical ideas held about the people of the South, such as their country based lifestyles, their poor dialect, and that the South composes mostly of "rednecks," and "hicks". This is the portrayal of the South and it is commonly seen by most Northerners of America. These stereotypes are commonly seen and heard on various shows and movies, and be commonly seen in books or heard in songs. Maybe these are the still streaming source of the commonly held ideas of Southern stereotypes. These ideas on the most part are true, and this is to be my own personal opinion, that these stereotypes had to originate from the south in order to exist and some of them still do.

A well known stereotype is that many Southerners have a country background and live a country based lifestyle. On some parts this is true, since farming is a major economic production in the south people who work in this field are at the most times have country living arrangements. Even those who live in the city areas of the south show some basis of a country living style either in their eating habits or in family relatives where they may pick up various habits. This doesn't mean that all southern have these traits, but to most of the majority this is a stereotype that appears more true among others.

A southern dialect isn't a fair stereotype seeing that many people have a dialect no matter where they come from, but in the south a dialect can range from various degrees depending on the origin of the individual. You can see some of the similarities between the various accents, but this does show up easily in all if any stereotype seeing that is a natural feature for anyone's race or origin. So the stereotype to be able to tell if someone is a Southerner because of their accent is a common and true stereotype. This is an easier one to recognize since it is popular in all forms of stereotypes.

A favorite of all southern stereotypes is that they are composing of "rednecks," and "hicks," but this is not necessarily true. We know that they south have a poor representation on the people who live there seeing that many of them are portrayed in entertainment as being ignorant "rednecks'. This is a recurring problem, because it shows the south as being a poor breed of "white trash," despite the other minorities who inhabit the area. We think of "rednecks," as ignorant white individuals who occupy a trailer and possibly married members of their own family. Truly a poor image for the south seeing that this is one that has been around for decades, and has become a constant favorite stereotype for the South. Seeing that many of the people no longer carry this image and it has faded out, but in most cases someone will still reference this stereotype in a piece of entertainment or a argument between individuals.

Overall I can say that many of the Southern stereotypes are true and their portrayal of characters, but it's a type of stereotype that has grown old and many of its characters may fade out. Several will still linger not because of their popularity, but because their too common of a trait to be lost. We see them all the time and know that one cannot help their dialect or perhaps habits they pick up from family members that portray a Southern appeal. It can be said that many of Southern Stereotypes are true depending on where you go or where that person is from, but is to be remember that the many stereotypes about the south have grown old and no longer fit some of the ideas they once held.
