Friends-
October is going to be a pretty crazy and eventful month- lots of great national touring acts coming to phoenix, halloween of course, great weather, the new Premiere EP being mastered and soon to be released, and two back to back Premiere shows...
So here's the deal:
We are a playing two shows this month- One On Monday, Oct. 12th and the other on Sat. Oct 31st (Halloween, yall!)
Monday's show:

Our friends at Radio Phoenix is putting on a special live music showcase called "The Bungalow Show" where they will choose a number of local bands to play Monday nights at The Big Fish Pub in Tempe. The show will be professionally videotaped in HD, and recorded live through 16 channels... to be broadcasted later on for the webshow.
So this Monday, Oct 12, we will be doing a live music series there and entertaining the crowd... We may use some of the footage for a music video, so come and get in the video- who knows maybe you'll be famous! ( ; There will also be an MTV Rockband tournament open to the public- so come jam out to your fav. tunes Rockband style and show off your skillzzzzz!!! The best part is that the show is free, so head on down to Tempe and spend your otherwise uneventful Monday night, kicking back with us, hearing live music, drinking adult beverages and playing video games! ( ; See ya there! ___________________________________________________________ Madcap and Radio Phoenix present: Frock N Roll Halloween Rock N Roll Fashion Show featuring a massive array of local bands including The Premiere, Lisa Savidge, Peachcake, Dakota Jeane, Dry River Yacht Club and more... Come down and party in the movie theater that used to be Harkins Centerpoint - there will be fashion shows, live music, a beer garden, a live Rocky Horror Picture show and much much much more! This is the halloween party of the *&*%*$# CENTURY!!!! ( ; ALL AGES!

In new album news, we have been working dilligently on the upcoming LP, "Antennae", recording, adding finishing production touches and practicing our asses off on the new songs! We are about to release "50 Inch Rims," a 3-track EP, including the single from the upcoming album, as well as "Movie Screen" and another bonus track. The whole EP is recorded and mixed and we plan on having the "50 Inch Rims" mastered and duplicated by the Halloween show...

Thank you for all of your support and interest in what we are doing, have done, and are about to do... You guys constantly inspire us to continue making art, and we will keep putting out music until we die- no lie! 2010 is the year of PRMR!!!

Hey cats and dogs,
First off, a brand new write up on us from the interwebosphere...
Write up on The Premiere from blog site, Anjalirecords.com
Here is a link: http://anjalirecords.com/WordPress/?p=64
The Premiere. Proof that cool can be recycledby Dj Nico, at 7:59 pm Uncategorized | permalink | rss Before we begin with this weeks band of the week, please go here and listen to “Across The Sea” Ok so in this post super musician super star-era, the duo known as The Premiere aims for something in the middle of dance pop, rock & hip-hop, gambling that maybe there’s a little bit of taste left in the world of popular music. These guys make it clear they aren’t super stars, but also make it clear that they want to be. And I think they definitely would be if the right person heard them. It may at first listen sound like they are going green with music… pieces from 80’s pop, 90’s grunge, industrial, 90’s hip-hop meters & vocal harmonies, and late 90’s techno with a definite indie spin and surreal twist. Its the sonic equivalent of a pent-house decorated with those styrofoam containers McDononald’s used to use, broken cassette tapes, slightly stiff slap bracelets, flannel shirts, black light posters, Oakland Raiders baseball caps, disco balls, original Gameboy handhelds and Sega Genesis Cartridges and then splattered with the glow stick goo. No one in town is doing hip-hop, pop, or indie-electro dance music like this and so I guess these guys figured they could fill 3 holes with one stroke. A little like Cut Copy with a little bit of Depeche Mode, a little bit of Muse with a sprinkle of NIN. Almost conventional, almost deep, definitely cool. These guys have proven that cool can be recycled. HAHA The Premiere in a sentence: If bling could buy and wore bling, this is what it would dance to when it got some new bling: feeling a bit of guilt of cannibalism, but relieved to be on this side of it. Well, Thank you "DJ Nico," wherever and whoever you are! We appreciate the compliments... Wait till YALL hear ANTENNAE, suckas! It is going to blow your top off and your bottom off too. -The Premiere___________________________________________
Next, we want to let all of you know that currently, we are dilligently working on the album, adding final production touches and also in the midst of recording/mixing several tracks. Adam and I have handchosen three standout single-type tracks that we are going to release in the coming month or so as an EP, as to give you all a real taste of the fury that is ANTENNAE. The three tracks will include final mastered versions of 1. "Movie Screen" (which a demo of is currently on our player), 2. "50 Inch Rims" 3. "1622" Stick around for more updates on release date... P.S.- We will be making material copies of this release as well as a Downloadable version (either through Itunes, Snocap, etc- we have not yet worked out those details yet) ________________________________________________________________________ In other news, we will be playing a handful of shows over the next few months which are going to be not only PSYCHADELIC, but also ADVENTUROUS, ENERGETIC, FUN, MYSTERIOUS, NEAT, and other yet to be determined adjectives: The shows: 1. Sat, Sept 12 at the Yucca Tap Room Tempe, AZ... Southern & Mill... 21+ (Radio Phoenix and Wheninaz Presents... Wheninaz Benefit Complition Show Pt 2 ft. The Premiere and more...) For anyone doesnt know Yucca, or Radio Phoenix or what Nick from Wheninaz is doing, This show WILL sell out... Yucca has been OFF THE CHAIN as far as packing the place lately and there has been insane buzz about Radio Phoenix events and Wheninaz, so make sure to get there early, as it will be PACKED! 2. Oct 31, Halloween Madcap Theaters (The building where Harkins Centerpoint used to be on Mill Ave...) Tempe, Az (Mill & i forget) - downtown mill ave. to be continued...

So, here is the deal folkz...
Our first LP, London Paris New York got some great local press, we played some amazing and fun shows/ house parties, had opportunities to open up for some national touring acts! and had a blast with all of you, supporting us, spreading the word and believing in our music, message and what the premiere is all about!... That was just the beginning.
It is now time to tear it up. PRMR is about to go big. This is not just high hopes or us stroking our joystix (like we're so good at doing!) This is a PROMISE. After a few years of presenting our product, meeting amazing people, making friends in the music world, travelling, and putting our personal lives into the scene, there are some amazing networking opportunities that have lined up, and with the brand new material that is about to be unleashed, there is no holding back.
Now, the new phase enters. With 15 new and completed tracks (plus 2 secret tracks) finally written and ready to be recorded, we need your help to start a mass invasion of PRMR, not only on the nets but out on the streets! whether it's our chick friends out in norway, the metalhead from tokyo who somehow heard "Patrick Swayze" through a friend, or our old neighbors/out of state cousins/ circle of friends... everyone- all of you- we need your help to spread the word about PRMR!
The very least you can all do to help us spread the word, is good ol fashioned word of mouth... just tell your friend or someone at a bar or your cousin's dog! let them know "PRMR is coming up" or have you heard of the premiere"? or create an urban legend, like "Have you heard of that band 'The Premiere'... they are the that band who psychotically shot and then ate each other on stage in 1978?.. you havent heard of them?? Oh my god, you need to look them up- go to their myspace ... myspace.com/thepremieremusic!
so , we wont take up anymore of yalls time, but just keep checking the page periodically for updates and you will start to see things in the work, more shows, more songs posted, more pics, more happenin's in the nears futures! (oh ya and fuck facebook! tom still rules!)
peace and love...

Don’t Lose That Ass (from the upcoming PRMR album “Antennae”)
Verse 1 (Adam):
I was drinking at the bar when I...
Just wait ‘til close
Talk too much shit, Jonboy will break your nose
Gotta get one, man, I gotta get two
But I gotta get three
Maybe sniffing glue
This is you, this is me
Baby meet me at the library, yea.
Wanna set a bomb off in Axis Radius
Hold a gun to the Power 98 dj’s head and tell him to play my shit, cuz
Time is running out
I’m like Bruce Willis in Die Hard gunning down these motherfuckers
They tell me I can’t
They tell me I can’t use these words up in this market.
If you gon’ speak it, then walk it
Instead of sitting in the corner sulking
If you don’t question shit
All the blessing from preachers and all the lessons from teacher
Still couldn’t teach you
Everyone’s gone gay praising Kanye
Verse 2 (David):
Didn't wanna’ hide from, “ya’ never know...”
What’s gonna happen to you when you home alone?
Sitting at a cafe
Watching the world blowing up behind me, oh oh, from the reflection in my glass
Walking home all alone in the cold
You say you gotta lose that ass
But i beg to differ
Drop it fuckin’ low now
Verse 3 (Adam):
Raise your flags
You know the principal’s a fag
Pick up that guitar, that mic, and write ‘fuck the world’ on your book bag
And do you know what it means to kill your body with a razor in your veins
Might as well put a bullet in your brain
It’s all the same
Watching a sunrise over the bay
To watching a girl get gangbanged
I’m out of line
And I’m out of time for all this bullshit
It’s time to call this for what it is and pray for anarchy
Imagine hunting your prey instead of driving through Burger King
And I gotta get this word to swing through somebody
‘Fore I tackle an 18-wheeler head on
Visit Bethlehem
But it ain’t home
Just another fairy tale...
Verse 4 (David):
Mrs. Iodine on the big screen Found a new dream on the internets
Who needs energy when we’ve got mediocrity?
Oh suck me
I don’t know when your boyfriend
When he comes home late from fucking work
I don’t know
Better take it easy
Better make sure you wear fur
When I stir you up at the bar

the album is written...
it will be recorded SOON and released before the end of the year.
in fact, adam and i are planning on recording these 15 new tracks AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE in the most RAW and STRIPPED DOWN manner, so as to capture these amazing songs that have been waiting to be unleashed (like kids in a sweat shoppe) in the most authentic, heat-of-the-moment manner... no demos, no scratch versions... just raw nrg.
sonically, "antennae" will carry the soul and fire of ray charles and the idealism of nine inch nails.
our fanbase will rise from it's current status (somewhere around "beatles-status") a few notches up to "jesus" status, once this album is heard by the world.
we love you.
thank you all for being friends and staying true to the movement of prmr!
stay alive...
one!

Heya, peoplessss! For those of you who don't obsessively check The Premiere myspace page every hour (like we do), here are some current happenings: We have been given the great opportunity to share the stage with our friends, Peachcake, at their album release show at The Modified in Phoenix this coming Saturday night. Peachcake, who has recently inked a distribution agreement with Warner Music/ADA, has been described by URB magazine as "electrically charged bubble-gum blown up quite florescently all over your face." Their live set is something like a phenomenon- that's all I can say. The other acts that will be performing are some of the greatest this city has to offer, including indie psychfolksters, Andrew Jackson Jihad, the amazing Underwater Getdown, DIFM and Sigma. Come prepared for a night of insanity and fun! It is all ages, so everyone is welcome... Next, Adam and I have our next album under the works right now. The disc will be 14 tracks of Premiere hotness. It will be very different than London Paris New York, more open, more raw, more energetic and more artistic, but catchier and more to the point. less dramatic, more simple, more good. sounds like a nice press release, eh? We plan to PROMOTE THE SHIT out of this one guys, so we need all the help we can get to push ourselves to the top! We plan with the little money we have on making a video for one of the singles, so anyone willing to help with video stuff, that would be awesome! Also, if there are any artists willing to contribute some ideas/concepts for the album artwork, that would also be appreciated.... we do have a concept in mind, but were always looking for other ideas. We have an album title that we are 99& sure about at this point, but we aren't going to say anything yet, until everything is recorded. Hint: It's 6 words long... Recently, we have been getting involved with the budding, local community radio station, "Radio Phoenix," who is part of Arizona Community Media Foundation. They are pushing for a full signal FM radio tower and if everything works out, in about a year, our city will finally have a damn radio station that we can be excited about again! Imagine driving to work in the morning, hearing The Strokes, Outkast, The Rolling Stones, Aphex Twin, What Laura Thinks, and The Premiere all on the same station!! bliss, right? Until then, you can listen online, streaming live through Live365 at www. radiophoenix. org for free... Tune in between 4 and 6 on Sundays with DJ Nico to hear The Premiere and other greats.( ; Thanks Radio Phoenix- We love yas! (oh and shoutouts to Mara at AZOverload, we appreciate you continuing to play our songs.)

"The Premiere have succeeded in bringing something fresh to the scene, a blend of hip-hop/rock production with a presence of mind to move the genre forward rather than re-hash what's already been done. Electric."

New Times Summer of Sound Hip Hop Show Recap
Mon Jun 09, 2008 at 12:53:50 AM
By Joseph Golfen
This weekend marked Summer of Sound's second concert. This time around the hip hop-centered event invaded Chaser's Bar and Nightclub in Scottsdale; a laid-back, grimy bar that shares a strip mall with both Americano Tattoo Parlor and the Jesus Is Lord Christian supply store.
The night kicked off with The Premiere, who took the crowd by surprise and started with a smooth soulful song that would have smacked seductive had the phrase "I'm gonna fuck your mind," been excluded from the chorus. Once the first tune faded out, The Premiere's mix of lighting fast rhymes and blue-eyed soul came out to shine. Dressed in matching black dress shirts and metallic blue ties, the two man group hammered out intricate tunes, adding in dashes of 80's synth-pop, staccato string loops and heavy metal guitar.
In between set, DJ Gizmo spun an eclectic mix of hip-hop, funk and pretty much anything else she wanted. Members of the National B-Boy League, flipped, twirled and spun around on their heads without ever loosing the beat.
Cut Throat Logic's two-man attack of Justus and Deonte signaled the second set of hard-hitting rap. The two MCs spat rhymes about everything from the state of hip-hop to the state of Arizona.
"We rap about Arizona because we do love our state and we love this city," the heavily tattooed Justus shouted.
Once Cut Throat Logic finished up, instruments were set up on stage. Antedote, a 9 member group hit the stage taking up drums, keyboards, bongos, guitars and bass, as well as a trumpet and saxophone. The members of a the groups were a mishmash of characters, from bearded rappers to the crew- cut brass section.
The Cousin of Wize hit the stage next. Where Antedote fused their lyrical flows with funk and soul, The Cousins of Wize preferred to pepper their set with a heavy dose of reggae.
And the Rasta attitude didn't end with the music, with the dual rappers spouting lines like "All we want to do is get high," and slamming out songs about double-fisting drinks at the bar, while a tenor saxophone player wailed along.
By this time the crowd was fully invested in the show as evident by the infectious dancing hand-swinging. On stage, the performers were feeding off of the attention and pumping out energetic tracks one after another.
Headliner Zion-I was no exception. This Oakland-based crew toned back the stage show to just two MCs and a DJ, but even with smaller numbers, they kept the energy up.
