You know why Yo Yo Yoblingski is so funkin cool? Cause Someone told me yesterday. They said to me "Hey, you there with the nasty haircut" and I said "Watch that tone in your voice cockbreath...I outta smack ya lights out", but I didn't.

So this old codger says "I used to be a go go dancer in the war, kept the small but defiant contingent of dainty queer men jolly through times of hardship. A girl used to accompany me on the guitar and would tickle the men with a feather boa. They didn't get their jollies out of that little act though, but I tell you son, I got a little half mongrel when she'd play a song of hers called "Make an appeal". I'd swing around the pole in fits of pleasure and giggle like a girlie man.

One night after the show, Yo Yo Yoblinski pulled me aside and brushed up against my sequined crotch and exclaimed a gasp of giggle and joy. Her guitar trembling on the G-String and a look of "You had me at dicks fuck pussies" even though I don't remember ever saying dick's fuck pussies...

It was War, any chance of happiness was slim, and I took my chance on the officers mess room floor. We knew it was love, however by the time we had finished displaying our medals of valour in a sweat filled love nest of fury, I was listed as a deserter and was left with no choice but to run. I never saw that girl again, but I hear she never aged, she remained forever young. Her songs are "cool" young man. You hear me? COOOOL!!!"

Well I just kicked him in the cruit's and yelled "Quieten down ya bum" but I thought about it for a minute and realized who the young girl was. "Impossible" I thought, she'd be in her 80's by now, surely not cavorting with various young fashionable upstarts from the sporting and entertainment industries of Sydney and abroad.

But that's where I was wrong. I should have seen it earlier- Yo Yo Yoblinski ain't from..from this time, this era. She is one of the increasingly alarming number of "Cool kids" that have sprung up in the past 60 years or so that have close ties with musical alumni, and major wars.

At first I simply thought that I was misjudging "cool" kids like so many in the past, but then the overwhelming amount of evidence simply couldn't yield to my conventional thinking.

More and more examples started to rear their heads...

Courtney Taylor Taylor was a chef in the battle of Gettysburgh, his cheese fondue made him a hit amongst the camp and was elevated to "Uber" status instantaneously.

Jimi Hendrix, I recently found out, wrote the song 'Purple Haze' after watching a Ribena factory his bomber had destroyed, explode in a blackcurrant mist, or "Haze". (Sources tell me he had also consumed copious amounts of acid and marijuana, a mere opinion of which I have found no supporting evidence.)

Finally, a Newtown local who has smoked a lot of crack and throws cats at random passer byers, claims that a 'Cuthbert and the Nightwalker' key player has close ties with this mythical occult. A cat by the name of Brendan Ox. Apparently he was one of the legendary Kokoda Trail soldiers, and was infamous for regularly stopping the convoy of men to listen to suffragette city and participate in a little catch-and-release fishing by the river. Good call Brendan.

It changes everything my friends. She is more powerful then we all assumed. Lord, she has a small army of un-dead rockers and scenesters building around her.

Join her or feel her undulating wrath. The time has come to bahhh, or bellow.

We come in peace to love and serve the Lord. Thanks be to God

Hello.

I have a band. We're called 'The Romantiques' this band features ppl stolen from other bands. You can call me an instrumentalist thief and i would say yes. It seems the little round tablets i got from happy high herbs worked and they're mine now. Now that i have them we're making making music together. Getting drunk together. Eating together. Sleeping together. Calling each other names.

A few weeks ago i woke up to find my brother & his mates digging up our back yard. In my hungover and very confused state i ask them 'what on my earth are you all doing?'.

"We are digging holes and drinking beer cos that's what men do!"

After alot of persistant enquiries i still couldn't get a decent answer so i gave up and went back to bed. I wake up later to find them all intoxicated and mixing concrete. I had know what was going on now and it turns out these boys the night before decided at the pub that they were going to build a bird avery in my back yard!??! I found it rather cute that a group of guys were spending a day bonding & building so i lit the barbie and fed them..

Weeks have past and there is still no avery, just a huge slab of dried concrete in the corner of our yard.

This!

I look forward to the day they go the pub, get pissed and decide they wanna build a cubby house. .
