We played for a wine tasting event up at the Rio Verde Country Club last week on Wednesday. The gig consisted of us playing background music while a bunch of rich retired folks ate dinner.

We played some standards, and kept it quiet and tasteful. About 3/4ths of the way through the gig, an older gentleman walked up to us and said

"We took a vote, and decided that we want to hear what you guys want to play, not old people music"

Of course, we started busting out our energy shit.. they loved it!  There were ladies dancing in the back of the room and everything.  A woman walked up to us after we were done and said

"That's the first time in 30 years we've heard energetic music in here"

I'm glad to know that people in their 20s and people in their 70s enjoy our music...
