I won't get to into the actual occurrences simply because I don't remember that much. The fun was business as usual. Those that we're there during any of those 3 days just know lol.

If anything, hitting the quarter century mark has evoked me to be thankful. I'm thankful for life, as I've met my goals to regain my health and am now in great shape. I'm thankful for family, as I actually got a rare chance to see my father and I feel that I'm closer to my brother now than I have been my whole life. I'm thankful for friends, as I view 3 pages of birthday comments and sift through a full voice mailbox. Not to mention the massive amount of old and new faces that came out to celebrate. I'm thankful for all of my accomplishments and the adversity I had to overcome that made me as strong as I am today. And finally, I'm thankful for love and how the sensation of an intoxicating smile can so erratically capture your mind.

Valentine's Day is a day where men get to make up for being an asshole every other day and women get an excuse to eat chocolate and be spoiled for doing nothing. I think Saint Valentine worked for Hallmark. He decided the best way to succeed was to create a holiday. Boom, Valentine's Day! It tortures the couple-less and fattens to pockets of flower peddlers and greeting card companies. National holidays should not have winners and losers. They should be able to be celebrated by all.

Meanwhile, these poor good-hearted people without a "valentine" get to sit home and stuff their faces with Xanax while people that have a label (and that's all it is) get to breathe a sigh of relief they're not victims of the big V this year.

This isn't what love is about. Love is knowing without knowing. It's thinking without thought. It's about spontaneous actions and doing just because you feel like it. Love is a kiss from the eyes. It's a spiritual understanding. It's a powerful feeling that gets diguised by words.

I believe Valentine's Day is a way to close out your seasons. You see, some people believe that people come into your lives for a certain reason and some are just there for a season to hold you off for a little while they're alone. What these people don't realize is that true love is not seasonal. So while their blowing smoke up your ass to get over someone else, you fall in love and end up on the receiving end of the full speed Mack truck known as deceit.

So I don't see Valentine's Day as a day to express love. That should be done every day. I see it as a way to find closure from those who once dragged you into believing they loved you and used you as a band aid just to boost their own esteem. This will help pave the way for real love in your life. Whether it is someone from the past, present or future. It could possibly even be someone you once closed a season with. But you must close all seasons to find and understand real love.

Best wishes,
- Rich

As lent approaches I think of all of the things that I have willingly given up recently. Things like smoking and junkfood were very tough, but I beat them nontheless. Now I believe that I am ready for my ultimate test of will power. I believe it's time to overcome the unstoppable power that women have been using and abusing since creation. That's right. No sex during Lent.

Pulling this off not only means rendering women powerless. It grants me 100% will power to attempt anything I put my mind to. It erases "can't" from my vocabulary. It breaks the boundaries of normality. If I don't finish it, hey, I got laid.

I will let you know how it's going. Wish me luck!

The Rules:

no sexual intercourse
no masturbation
no sexual teasing or intimate touching with any part of the body
no use of the tongue during kissing
Must visit a strip club and receive a lap dance of a friend's choice
Must watch a heterosexual pornographic film from beginning to end
Must read a pornographic magazine cover to cover
Must sleep in a bed with a female
Must get drunk with an ex or someone you are guaranteed to have sex with

The Exception:

This is NOT like the movie 40 Days and 40 Nights which ducks the awful truth. When a male goes more than thirty days without leakage, those little spermies harden into a glue-like substance that clogs the tubes. This, in turn, causes Epididimidis. That's basically the medical term for blue balls, and it hurts like a steel-toed boot to the left testicle. Therefore, there will be a release period twice during the course of Lent scheduled 15 days apart.

A cockfight of feelings

Only a fool gives up sex for lent
When we were alive, before the eagle was spread
It fell out of the sky and into the bed
And you painted it true blue

Now the eagle it hunts and you are its prey
In old fashioned clothes and Nottingham lace
Go ask Mrs. Johnson and she will say
What a person you were back when

Softly Now, Softly Now, Try it, you won't die

Tobacco's a help because it clears the mind
But like all your friends it is vilified
They always say, the right amount's fine
Even lazy people know the rules

But you spoke a language that I knew too
Innate understanding because I was a fool
We all learn to listen after years at school
Speaking of rules the book is in Port of Spain

The worst work on Earth is on the turkey farm
When those birds get excited, sound the alarm
Where you took yourself and booked yourself
And no one else wants to know

I've been getting a few bulletin replies saying that I must hate women and I must have really gotten fucked over a lot. While yes, like everyone, I've been through some of it, the truth is that a lot of people come to me with their problems and I listen to them and analyze the issue. I've heard it from both sides and I've seen things go on in front of my face. Some women are saying, "What about the men?" I'm sorry, but I don't write from a woman's point of view simply because I'm not a woman. I post my thoughts on here because I can get a ton of excellent feedback from so many different people and share it with those that need my advice. And it keeps us occupied.

To post on a lighter note, this is something completely unisex that I wrote for those that deserve a straight answer.

If you asked me to jump, I would say, "How high?"
If you asked me to run, I would say, "How far?"
If you asked me to stay, I would say, "How long?"
If you asked me to squeeze, I would say, "How tight?"
If you asked me to dive, I would say, "How deep?"
If you asked me to touch, I would say, "How soft?"

But you asked me to leave. So I say, "How come?"

You should probably re-evaluate your life or simply just kill yourself.

No amount of makeup or surgery will ever make you look good. If you're ugly on the inside you're nothing but a pathetic painted piece of meat guys pass around. And that poor shlub you kicked to the curb for a little extra play is probably on his way to 6 figures and a real women by now. You will find out how "hot" you really are when he laughs in your face after you try to call him again. You're not fooling anyone.

Have a great day everyone : )

For anyone who is down this holday season for whatever reason it may be. I would like to extend my prayers to you and encourange you to always follow your dreams and have faith in love and the pursuit of happiness.

Adversity is something the lord blesses us with to reward us for our faith. Without struggle, progress can never be achieved. Every battle you survive makes you a stronger individual. Poor judgement is the building block of experience. It makes you wiser. An unexpected tragedy is a measurement of your will to overcome.

If you're in a hole an think you can't climb out or you have been deceived by something you trusted in. Don't give up on yourself. Think of it as as test from above and keep in mind that everyone always gets what they deserve. Remember that there is no easy way out, shortcuts, or temporary solutions. Focus on the good things and fight to rebuild yourself into something better. Do the "impossible", reach for the stars and never let anytihing bring you down.

Please pass this on to the people you know that might be going through a rough time right now. If even one person is touched by this it will make the world a whole heart stronger.

Best wishes and happy holidays to all.
