Just a typical wednesday night in my gym clothes, on my way in the car to military fitness class in sefton park when i get a call from the lovely Mr Corkhill sayin the pussycat dolls' support act was ill and could i step in in half an hours time and open the show..gulp! Drove home, untied my pigtails, got changed and was out the door with my guitar thinkin omg omg omg i havent played my songs or sang properly in over a month and now im gonna have to do it in front of a packed arena who would quite honestly probably prefer a dj or somethin remotely dance like rather than me with my little acoustic guitar tryin to warm up a 9000 strong crowd of mini PCDs :) but anyway after the initial boos when i walked on the stage before id even sang a note, it was fine and the crowd were very supportive considering i forgot some of my words and had my set list on my phone..yes the first time ive been booed on stage in ages..well since the Hanson gig that is..oh dear!!!  But i loved it, absolutely loved it and then got to watch the show which was an even better feeling and they were totally amazing and gorgeous, oh how i would love to be a pussycat doll!!!

Im back from touring germany and it was an incredible experience..got to perform lots of new songs and see what the response was..it had been a good while since i played to such big audiences so had to ease myself back in! All the venues were fab and even after 15 shows i still didnt get tired of watching robin's show cos he's got so many amazing songs! 

I will be putting up more new songs soon and also video footage from the tour.

Look forward to doing some more work over there in the autumn..

So yes its all been very quiet for a while, too long infact. I parted company with my record label at the end of last year and have been, well, thinking a lot about things and writing a lot too. its strange because the instability of not having a label threw me slightly off course for a bit, but then i started to take positives from it and realise that i can infact control my own destiny and try and make things happen the way i want them to. Not having a label isn't the end of the world, in a weird way i feel a lot more creative now and am excited to put this into my songs and see what will come out. I began writing some new songs that i thought were half decent and recently tried them out live for the first time in Frankfurt MusikMesse and they did ok considering i barely knew all the words and was finishing them off on the plane goin there..!

Whilst in Germany, i was offered the support slot of the Robin Gibb Bee Gees tour of Germany and Austria. Well, i was amazed and thought it must have been a wind up or somethin cos lets say i havent had the best luck in quite a while! But no, it was real..they needed a quick answer so it was a case of hmmm let me think about that one...

It starts on 1st may in Zwickau and as usual it will just be me and my little guitar (plus my electric guitar to keep it company) doin 30 mins of just brand new material.

Thats about it up to now..hope to see some of you there if you live in germany or if you fancy a little trip over there! :)

Not that im getting carried away with becoming a covers artist or anythin..but..whilst im writing new songs, im also really enjoying recording some of my favourite covers its so much fun and i find it helps me discover where my voice is best suited.

Ive just put up a cover of Hallelujah now that im getting into recording myself..i recorded it pretty much live with one mic, well i did a few takes of it sat on the end of my my bed with Diesel dog next to me admittedly, and Guy has made it sound better since i passed it to him to have a mess with! I wish i could say i did it live in one single take but that would be a little far fetched at the moment, though im getting better and less picky..

I know as of this coming saturday, that either Alexandra, Eoghan or JLS (please not jls) will have a massive hit with this song on x factor but i thought it'd be fun to do my own little version before i hear their one..even if i did cut half of the verses out!

Hello..

Well yesterday was fun because i was shown how to record myself using logic pro for the first time and it was great cos i thought i'd record a whole bunch of covers just for fun (and practice)..and also cos i find that sometimes just singing covers helps me enjoy singing without the pressure of worrying is it good enough or is it going to 'work' etc etc that you constantly get when recording your own stuff - so i started singing at 2pm and didnt stop till 10pm time just flew over! It was great cos i could go on and on doin loads of takes on my own without someone there telling me we actually got it 50 takes ago!! I never listen to that anyway ha ha.. I have put one of the songs up for you to listen, its 'Run' by Snow Patrol and i recorded it live just to see what it would sound like so its a bit rough- though i think its a lovely song and will maybe do a proper version sometime..

The other new one we did a few months ago now, its called Dance With Me and i didnt get a chance to put it up until now..

After this il be putting up more demo's of new stuff as and when..hope you enjoy :)
