Reviews at www.garageband.com.

Fresh Fresh Fresh Fresh.

"aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
How meany repetitive songs are there on this site. THis song just gave me a headache. It would be good if you didnt have the same backround beat over and over and over and over. Its a good song except that its overly repetitive."

"Refreshing intro
Refreshing intro this song has, original and well-thought out. It is atmospheric and mesmerizing. Has an oriental promise, and lots of potential. Quite minimal it remain, but that can be chilly and trippy. The sounds sit well in the mix, maybe add some more variation to it. The vocal parts are outta this world! Great processing on those. Enjoyed it!"

"Panning Bells?
Nice. Your mix seems clear. Not much happening in the track, sounds are even and steady and with out change. fix that."

"Terrible
Very abstract and psychedelic industrial track. Electronica is very annoying and vocals are boring. Waste of time. Bad quality of production also."

"I wanted a little more...
It's a good hypnotic sorta intro which is cool, but I wanted a build or a change...even very subtle. I think I understand what you were going for. I just think that first 3 minutes needs a little work."

"indeed its experimental
well indeed is very experimental, something that can make someones confess everything on an interrogatory, lol, and if that was your idea u made it.

as i see u have to work on your vocals u have to integrate more the pitch and effect to the sequences and i think that u can add something more to your sounds playing with reverbs and delays etc.... its fun !!!"

"sad :(
That's the saddest track I've heard on this site till now. I compare it a little to Coil's music, but at the end, whet the vocal appears, it doesn't remind me anything. Very original and terribly sorrowful composition."

"deathly
reminds me of some horror flick, i do really have to stop clicking any genre, as this computer music just repeats itself, 1 minute in and you've lost me"

"Nice mood
Good music with a nice repeating dark mood to it. Very nice soundpicture and a very mezmerising melody."

"and there id find a brother of mine
very interesting effects, sort of watery flanger sounding. the beginning is way too long, it seems like you got mesmerized by this weird synth you created and just kept it on repeat...i half expexted it to be 5 min of just that then this strange voice came in out of no where, thank you, something to break the monotony...dying robot voice. overall with the material at hand this whole track should be 2.5 min maybe even less...definitely needs to be tightened up. then there is that quick fade out at the end, come on... im hoping that you only wanted to show us part of the track therefore cutting out at 5 min rather than actually ever so carefully planning that terribly difficult ending of turning down the volume in .2 seconds"

"Interesting sounds
The sound you've created reminds me of some stuff by Battle, but while it is a very cool sound you've got, I think you stay in the same place too long, and when it does change, it is very abrubt. I like what you're doing with the voice, but I think it'd sound better if it was more like a vocoder and distinguished more from the sounds going on behind it. I like where you're going with this, but I think it'd benefit you to not stay in one place to long and to make your transitions better."

"cheers
there is a wonderful ambience to this track..very hypnotic..the vocal work is sweet, almost like another instrument."

"Strangeness
This mix took a long time to get somewhere. The production quality is good but its too repetitive and lost my interest. The vocoder vocals are also very odd as well."

"kinda boring...
This song didn't really go anywhere. I was actually falling asleep while waiting for a change to take place from the repetitive drones, and i didn't get anything but a cryptic distorted voice uttering some nonsense over half way through the track. While the drone seemed rhythmic, the vocals did not. I am left confused and irritated by this track."

"Gothic mix ?
Good and interesting sequencing. The gothig mood with organ is well to. I like the transition with the voice- surprising. Good work"

"Try again
Mmmmmm, not sure what to make of this weird sounds at the beginning. Some sort of fusion between tibetan music, chirping birds, and a grandfather clock announcing the next hour.

It's experimental electronica alright, but it continues uninterrupted for way too long. It's already two minutes into a 5 minute song, and it's a four second loop playing over and over.

Ah, almost at 03:00 mark a male vox run through some distortion filter brought some variety. I understand very little due to a very severe distortion.

Ok, you are saying "flesh, flesh, flesh, flesh." That much is clear.

Basically, two different compositions are presented as one. The composition before 02:58 is a short loop repeated over and over. Then the vox part came with incomprehemsible lyrics and a few more weird sounds.

This experimental electronica's experiment did not come out very well. Try again!"

"pretty good
the sequencing is good , the mix doesnt really do anything for me, it has a kind of a depressing mood to it, if thats what your looking for then youve achieved it with this track, thats not a bad thing."

"sameness
I realize that that's the mood you're probably seeking, but it's all very mono-tone ... surprise people!"

"LoFi Washing Machine Song
Is that a koto playing? The LoFiness of the percussion (I think) creates a machine-like noise. It seems to go on forever. Some diversity would be nice. Ok, now vocals are introduced. We are over halfway through the song so it seems a little late. They aren't very quality either. The filter they've gone though gets a little annoying. Also, the vocals are singing quarternotes? & it's practically monotone too. It just doesn't work out.

The sequencing was not much to talk about. I am not sure where to begin on improving it. It could be a little more percussive. Perhaps percussion should have been added. I heard, after each verse of vocals, a single beat looped over & over again. That doesn't seem to work out either. If this song wants to accomplish anything at all, it needs a lot of help.

I'm sorry my review wasn't helpful at all, but I think this song is a lost cause."

"Nice Intro....
nice synth sounds and intro, thought it may have gone a little to long though. crazy vocal. not sure on where this track was going, a beat would have worked."

"dot matrix
sounds industrial and keyboard lead synth is like Jason/Freddy Friday the 13th. The old man humming in the background sounds like he's in a hospital bed and there's someone in a rocking chair nearby with the machines all around beeping. The mix is cool, kind of loud I had to turn down the mains. Robot man comes in at the end and it reminds me of Metroid on the NES very cool.Spacer=outer"

"video available?
i am missing some bits which seem to be happening in the background, but thus it remains a bit disturbing at least, when on the other hand all this hypnotizing leads to something i really do not know if this was worth waiting for. cut it short."

"Fresh?!
Pretty, atmospherically suspending piece of clock-like ornateness... and theeeeen the vocodered voice came in. I liked the delicacy of sounds, FX and note choice until that point. Afterwards it was all warbly, distorted and overmixed moanings about love and, I think, 'fresh'. Whatever musical deal had been going on was eclipsed by the wacky speak. Could be some Japanesey joke or could be genuinely avant. Either way I didn't like what happened and it made me pine for the distant past of two minutes ago. Speaking impartially, the voice was the worst mixed part of the song with genuine clipping occurring more than once. Otherwise mix and sequencing were okay. I don't know who this sounds like."

"heavily vocoded vocals atop weird noises
Whirling synth noises, metronome-like beat; I like the church organ sound. Halfway through the song, and I can only really say I like the sound and the mood. I order you to make this song go somewhere! Where's a speed metal riff when you need one? Oh my god, the robot who made this song is now apparently singing. I hate you robot!

*The young hero smashes the robot's shiny dome with a cricket bat, shorting it's curcuits and thus ending the nightmare forever*"

"killer freak out
This is a great song, without the vocal. Well maybe it could be made to work if it was massively EQ'ed to take out the low end and mixed in softer and sooner.
Well sooner if you want to broaden your appeal. People love vox, no matter how messed up (The vocals, not the people).
I love the sounds and the rhythm and the concept. I'll be everything could use a bit of subtractive EQ to clear up the mix.

Sounds like nothing I listen to regularly. Bravo for that!"

"Post-industrial minimalism with voice
Interesting post-industrial minimalism with a pulse. Sounds like an old piano, someone clanking a pipe, and a faint processed guitar, and your grandmother's parlor organ create an impression that they were recorded a long time ago. Shortly after I thought this introduction might be all there was going to be, and I had a couple of thoughts that it had gone on too long, it changed abruptly-- at around 3 minutes. A processed voice reminiscent of The Residents is introduced, and this part has a melody. The lyrics are unintelligible to my ears that know mostly English, but it does keep it interesting.

To answer your request for specific comments: the mix sounds very good. I don't have anything to say about the sequencing, it seems fine. I think you sound like The Residents and Terry Riley."

WINDOWLICKER by Aphex Twin. These have almost similar melodies sequences and rhythms. The sequencing is cool. Robits!?< FONT>

"Ambient
Cool ambient feel. I'm waiting for it to kick in. It reminds me of clocks. Chiming ticking. A machine. Vocals are "fresh" change, however not very melodic. They could stand to be clarified in the mix."

Somewhere Out There Shiny Robots Fight With Purple Martians (with Analogue Postcard)

"Review
I'm definitely in a different dimension. I love the colors in this piece. The ambiance is oozing disorientation except there is complete comfort in the consistent droning noise. I'm underwater.. I'm in space. I'm everywhere but home. Great sequencing very smooth. The mix sounds pro. I'm not too sure who you sound like as I am not an efficienado of this genre. Really enjoyable! Nice job."

"i love
the initial pulsing sound, and the kind of watery bubbly sound as well. this track sucks you in, its very crazy in a good way. i dig the track"

"true avante garde music
This song opens with an ever circulating pulsating metallic sound. It evolves and unfolds slowly to encompass a larger palate of deeper resonating sounds. The usage of sonic placement throughout this track is very well done. The mood evoked is one of introspection yet fully awake. The mix overall is also good. The strength is in it's evocation. Great job."

"Just Noise.
I don't think this is a song at all! its just feedback and ambient pan effects."

"Ambient but not gentle.
Although there is no musical progression as such, the samples used are at times harsh on the eardrums. It was pretty close to feedback at times and didn't progress to any point more pleasant. Sorry, but I missed the point of this one entirely."

"spooky soundscape
This is an unmelodic soundscape that has a pretty spooky vibe. The digital treatments remind me of Future Sounds Of London.

Unlike FSOL, there is nothing going on hook wise. This track would be well used as a transitoire between other tracks. I realise that its intended to be ambient, but at 4.08 mins there is not enough going on to keep me interested.

It is well recorded with some good atmospheric sounds."

"Ooooh!
I like the sounds, its very cool. I like this a lot, it somewhat reminds me of "The Boards of Canada" The mix is fine. I like the effects."

"A very spacey intro leads nowhere
A very spacey intro leads nowhere - in fact this does not progress at all - I was expecting music to kick it but nothing happened - just the same weird sound effects throughout."

"You've brought the noise.
I guess this is pretty much the definition of electronic experimentation. This is something I would expect to hear on an Animal Collective record. I'm not sure about it since I wouldn't really call it a song but I do respect the guts of someone who puts something like this on Garage Band. I like it though, it's pretty, very well mixed."

"Heavy Ambient Music That's a Bit Too Heavy
This piece is about the right length for what it is: experimental ambient music. I felt like the mix had pretty good levels for individual instruments, but the the grating noise began to get on my nerves the further the piece played. I felt like I was swimming through a sea of sound, seeing wonderful sights pop up beneath the waves, but I ultimately drowned."

"Forbidden Planet?
It opened immediately with a rather hypnotic sound, chimes of some sort but a bit spacier. It was strange.

I expected at some point for the sounds to lead into a grand, thematic entrance, but apparently I was wrong. The whole song was purely ambient, kind of like the soundtrack to Forbidden Planet.

The sequencing was pretty good. It was seamless, and the whole thing mixed well. Nothing stood out as wrong."

"Great texture but a bit static
The sound-bed is really cool - kinda spacey and organic at once. I picture a space expedition team happening across a field of alien eggs. The scene is a mixture of mystery, foreign beauty, and a certain amount of fear.

The duration is a bit long. Consider either shortening it down a little or trying to move me around some more. You have a clear theme - explore it a bit longer. The break at the end (3:54) could have occurred in the middle and taken me someplace new instead of shutting things down.

The mix is good to my ears. With the sounds being this complex and alien, it is hard for me to imagine what else you may want to highlight or bury. Thus, I cannot offer specific criticism here. It feels balanced and you cover the spectrum well enough.

As with the mix, the sequencing is a bit difficult to judge. The progressions certainly aren't conventional or obvious, so I cannot suggest any certain suggestions. The mixture of sounds and the throbbing sounds seem well planned. Overall, it comes across as well produced - meaning it seems you had a specific intent in mind and followed through on it.

This sounds a little like something off of Tangerine Dream's Electronic Meditation. Sorry I don't know many other artists to compare you to."

"Aliens Have Landed!
An exploration of alien landscapes and spacescapes as this song plays on the starship's sound system. Pure atmosphere a la Brian Eno. Some parts have an Autechre feel to them as well. Great experimental piece, perfect for the sequel to 'John Carpenter's The Thing.' Very good mix with excellent clarity and separation. Well produced."

"Coam's Review
Very experimental opening; pulsing ambient sounds with a feeling of being underwater.....@ 1:45 now and the composition doesn't seem to be going anywhere...@ 2:45 now and more of the same....This has an industrial vibe to it and has become a bit more percussively oriented....The "throbbing" audio suddenly stops at 3:55 and then we're done....This song is way too long for what doesn't happen...There is not enough variation in dynamics or insertion of differing sounds to make up for the narrow audio presentation. To keep the listener's interest for 4 minutes with this type of song, there needs to be a more wide ranged musical plate. Possibly floating an ethereal melody over the top along with a break midway would add some additional pazzazz. Keep on workin'..."

"Needs Something More
At 30 secs, this sounds like an interesting intro, a bit of a weird experimental soundscape, but by 1.30 it gets a bit wearing and I'm waiting for some developments, for something to start happening. The noise begins varying subtly at 2 mins, but not enough. 45 seconds later, some new weird bassy, alien noises come in, but again, it just ain't enough to enchant my already tired ears. Really, what this is is a 4 minute intro with no real development."

"eerie mood stroking
some of the sounds in this track are like words. the noises speak and require you, the listener, to translate from your own thinking. this is a great track."

"Drowning....
As the light disappears from view i sink deeper into the black below.
This track gives me that drowning feeling. The sound are all spot on but the constant screaching in the background could be quietened about half way through to give a calmer less grating second half. Saying that though, sometimes the most annoying sounds are the ones that keep a track fused to the memory."
