August 15- Dierks Bentley is in high demand in Denver, and his version of The Lucky Bucks song Sweet and Wild is the number 3 testing song on the CMA Station of the Year KYGO. He has played it on The Today Show, Jimmey Kimmel Live, The Grand Ole Opry and at concerts all over the country. It's been so much fun for The Bucks to play Sweet and Wild live, people are starting to sing the words back to us...it's a pretty cool thing!
Thanks Dierks you can cut one of our songs anytime and we look forward to another show with you. J

The Lucky Bucks will take the Red Lady stage at Mount Crested Butte Colorado on July 9th. It will be our first time back to Colorado since Red Rocks in September. The Rockies always recharge my batteries and I can't wait to breathe that Rocky Mountain air again. We go on at 5:30 PM on a new stage and series in the town of Crested Butte. I hope there are mountain bikes and fly rods in our rider!

The Lucky Bucks have been very blessed to have parents that have been supportive and inspirational along the way of every musical endeavor we have had over the years. A few weeks ago Matt and Andy lost their amazing father after a tough bout with Cancer. I can only imagine how hard it is now for them, and they will be laying low for a while spending time with their Mom. Harry was an amazing, smart, tough guy who always did things the right way and treated everyone with respect and kindness. I feel greatfull having known him. Keep the Thompsons in your prayers-JC

The Bucks show at 3rd and Lindsley on Wednesday the 28th has been cancelled. Matt and Andys Dad is battling it out with cancer and his boys are by his side to help as much as they can. Keep Mr. Thompson in your prayers, it is not and easy road. We will keep you informed about any future changes to the schedule right here. Thanks to all the folks rounding up a posse to come out, we hope you can make the next show.
Take care
Jay

March 28- About four months ago I heard Dierks Bentley was looking to cut a song I wrote with Radney Foster called "Sweet and Wild". I have heard the same thing a few times from other artists and it didn’t happen so I was not holding my breath. But then Radney got a call from Dierks saying how much he loved the song and was going to try it in the studio. Last month we found out he cut the song but we didn’t know if it was going to make the record or not. A couple of weeks ago while in Texas on a writing/fishing trip I got a call from Dierks team saying congrats "Sweet and Wild" is on the new record. I also found out it’s not just any record, our song is one of only two new songs on Dierks Bentleys Greatest Hits coming out May 6th. It really sunk in when I got a voicemail from Dierks a couple days ago asking me if I heard his version and he wanted to know if I liked it. I finally heard it the next day, and I loved it!!! They did a great job with production and Dierks sounds amazing! They even got Sarah Buxton singing harmony like an angel on it. I called him back and told him it sounded like a smash!!!!! Hopefully it’s a single, if it is it could hit the airwaves sometime this summer. Fingers crossed. Jay

March 14th Our good friend Radney Foster asked Andy to help record a session for The Randy Rogers Bands new record. Radney is producing his third album with the great band from Texas. Andy recorded some of Randys last record (Just A Matter Of Time) at his Ashwood Studio and sticking to tradition Radney asked him to record special vocal guests Jon Randall and Jesse Alexander. Andy said it sounds really good, we can’t wait to hear the final product.

March 1- We just finished up a series of shows at a club in Nashville called 3rd and Lindsley. Each show brought out more and more folks. It was good to see our friends many of which have never seen a Bucks show. Our Buddy Keith Anderson is a Bucks Fan and has been catching a bunch of our shows. His new record "C’MON!"comes out June 24th and it’s great! Also Greg and Wayne from the Little River Band have been out. Matt and Andy were members of the Little River band for a short time. TLRB have so many big hits! You don’t realize till you start hearing their songs and you can sing along to almost all of them.

We just got back from a quick tour with Luke Bryan, and it was a blast . We hit Georgia , North Carolina and South Carolina all the venues were really fun and Luke(All My Friends Say) and his entire crew were great to us. We played Milledgeville Georgia to a packed house at Capital City, then Coyote Joe's where things got a little wild in the parking lot after the show then finished out for that wild bunch at The Blind Horse in South Carolina. Aside from having an amazing voice and being a hell of a writer, Luke has the kind of personality that makes you feel right at home and when he get's onstage he's having so much fun you have to join the party. We are fans ands friends now, and he's also a fisherman so he couldn't rank higher in my book. We look forward to doing shows with him in the future.

So Rodeo time in Vegas got a little wild and the Bucks were right in the middle of things. Not only did thousands of country folk descend on sin city, a rowdy bunch from across the pond came in for the big Mayweather vs Hatton fight at the MGM. It was great to see all the folks who traveled from all over the US to hang with the Bucks. Seattle you guys where in rare form I've seen alcohol do allot of things, but never make someone do the worm across a Casino floor. In fact you might still be going, we lost sight of you as you rounded the corner headed towards the baccarat pit, and come to think of it we never saw you again! Mrs. Seattle thank you for the creative "poem/ecard" documenting our Vegas run with great blackmail pics . 11,17,22 finally got to have a beer or 10 and talk about the good ole' gridiron days. It was good to see you boys and yes the Broncs could have used us down the stretch, maybe we missed Shanahan's call. Denver DW sorry someone replaced your fine drinking water with vodka, but god bless ya it didn't stop you, only slowed you down for a minute. I know that amazing sushi had to be the most expensive meal you NEVER had, it was very gracious of you and KW, and so was that $100 you tipped the bathroom attendant ……Merry Christmas Amigo. Vegas Bertis thanks for chauffeuring us around and hooking up the VIP action, it's always fun to see you two. Broomfield 4 seeing you guys and playing "Crazy Love " brought back some great memories so good to see you. Gino thanks for treating us all like kings giving us the personal Bellagio tour, and Penny for making Vegas happen.
