We have been selected to participate in a promotion through Amiestreet.com.  The first five people to go to our site there will get to download either "This Match Strikes anywhere" or "Jupiter by the Moon" for free.  After that, the prices will start to go up.  Don't delay.  Get your ass there and download our stuff!

What have we been up to?  Ya got a minute.  Things are heating up nicely for us.  Sit back, relax, and see exactly what we’ve been doing with our time.

First of all, seven songs have been mixed for the upcoming CD.  I won’t let the cat out of the bag, but the last song we just mixed is quite possibly the best song we’ve ever written.  The other five are in the process of being finished up.  We still need to record some backing vocals for some of them.  A huge thanks goes out to Elvis of "The Huckin’ Fillbilly’s" and "Burke" for the fantastic backing vocals on our new CD.

Next, the artwork is about 90% complete.  We went outside of our little circle for this one.  Usually Joey does all of our artwork, but this time he had a friend in Las Vegas whoe painted all of the artwork for us.  It looks a little different from a Joey production, not better, just different.  Can’t wait to see the final CD.

Thirdly, we have been talking amongst ourselves and finalizing our summer schedule of live dates.  We have been talking to "Up a Creek", "Itam 29", and "Captain Kelly’s" amongst other places.  There is also a possibility that we will be playing at the Mahoning Valley Rib Burn Off on June 29.  We will keep you posted as things develop.

Lastly, we have been approached by a filmmaker about using some of our music in an upcoming 20 minute short movie.  We have given him permission to use 5 or 6 songs in their movie.  They plan on shopping it in LA when it is finished.  The final movie will be online in a few monthes.  We will post the link as soon as we get it.  Please watch the movie and help these guys out.  It might be interesting for us as well.

So there you have it.  We should have a new CD out this summer, a few live dates, and a movie for you to watch.  So, you should BUY the new CD, catch a LIVE SHOW (you know we don’t play many), and watch the movie online and E-mail the director and tell them how much you love the band.

Sorry for the mis-information.  Andy Joe won't be able to sing with us at the "Up a Creek" job because he will be out of town.  We'll try to get him hooked up on another job.

It's been an exciting couple of weeks for not only the band members of "in Harms way", but also former vocalist Andy Joe Fritz.  We were approached by a newspaper in Houma, Louisiana about our song "Houma Girl".  After several E-mails I decided that Andy Joe should be involved, as he wrote the lyrics to this little heard gem.  We both conducted phone interviews with the newspaper writer.  It ran in last weeks newspaper and now is available online as well.  They have also graciously uploaded the Mp3 of the song to their website.  We have received several positive reviews on this song since the story ran.  The link to the story follows:

Take a few minutes to read the story.  We think she did a great job describing both our writing and our partying in New Orleans.

We are also hoping that Andy Joe will come out and sing a song or two with us at our "Up a Creek" job in Howland.  We will keep you posted on that.

Take care and thanks for reading,

Hey Everyone,

Just a note thanking everyone who has either purchased our CD "Jupiter by the Moon" from CdBaby or has bought single songs from both iTunes and Rhapsody. We truly appreciate it. Thanks for your support. If you have listened to some of our stuff, please drop us a line telling us what you think of our music. Any input is encouraged.

Secondly, we just thought we'd let you know what we are up to in the studio. If you think we just sit around the studio and drink beer, you're both right and wrong!. With 5 writers in the band, there is never a shortage of new music thrown about at rehearsal. We have recorded and mixed 3 songs for the next CD and have 7 or 8 more in various stages of completion in the recorder. What that means is that we are not that far away from another iHw CD. be sure to keep posted and watch for it.

Thirdly, we have been negotiating with both band members and venues to perhaps do a few live shows in the spring. Up a Creek in Howland, Itam in Warren, The Green River Tavern in Troy, and the Warren Civic Amphitheater have been mentioned. Some of the shows may be solo and some we may team up with Jimmy's other band Trilogy. Keep checking back. We don't play live very often, you won't want to miss it (if it happens!)

Lastly, Thanks so much for checking out our music. it is available at all the popular download sites as well as a physical CD from CdBaby.com or just see one of the band members. Don't be shy, E-mail us with your praise as well as your disappointment.

Thanks for listening,

in Harms way
