So I'm finally posting Spain stuff... It took me long enough.
I've been so freaking tired from the trip(we got back tuesday), and had to work long days this week. I don't think I'm fully recovered from the jet lag either.
Anyway... SPAIN WAS AMAZING. What a place... So beautiful.
We left from Tucson last thursday at 12 noon, flew to Atlanta(what an amazing airport by the way...), and then to Paris. The Paris airport is MASSIVE... Mike and I had to sit apart from eachother because our flight was over booked, we actually barely made it on the flight. When we got to Paris they load you onto buses, then drive you somewhere random... I'm serious somewhere random. So they forced Mike to get on the bus(I wasn't off the plane yet), he said he was waiting for me and they said "you'll see her again". HA! When i got onto my bus we were driving for 25 minutes until we were dropped off, like I said... Massive airport. fortunately I was dropped off where Mike was. Its pretty scary driving in the bus because they drive on the RUNWAY, yes where the PLANES ARE. So its like plane comes by, we stop... Plane goes by we go. And the runways go right over a highway. So theres cars directly under the planes taking off.
The flight from Paris to Barcelona was good, short.
After all that flying I don't think my ears have ever popped so much in my life.
When we got to Barcelona we waited for Dante and Diego to get in, then we all tried to figure out how we were going to get to the hotel. Which turned out to be really far away from the airport... The cabs wanted 60 euros a PERSON, no way... So we took the metro to the other side of town. Got a bit lost... Then it took us I don't know how long to get a cab to pick us up, we had a lot of stuff with us. 4 people, with music equipment and what not. If it wasn't for Diego we would have been really screwed, because he speaks spanish.
When we finally got the the hotel we all passed out, without eating.. So that kinda sucked.
The next day was the show, so we got on the metro again... with all of our crap for later(equipment, clothes), so that was a pain in the ass... Again we would have been screwed without Diego.
When we finally got the downtown Barcelona it was amazing, definitely worth all the crap getting there.
We went to find where Adam was staying, on the rambla... Amazing area.
Dropped off our stuff and walked around. I did some shopping! It was awesome.
And after a few hours we were picked up by Sergio to head down to the venue.
The Venue was nice, great sound, very professional and knowledgeable crew(which is a big change from most places). The backstage had a fridge that was totally packed with beer, soda, water, redbull and fruit drinks... AHH! amazing. And we had lots of food.
Had a lot of fun hanging out with people there, met Punto Omega(who we ended up hanging out with a lot that weekend).
The show went well, the first band was pretty good... Punto Omega was awesome! Whoa. And Inure kicked some serious ass. :)
After the show we headed over to the club, after we dropped Punto Omega's gear off.
Checked out the gear, started DJing later in the night.
I had a lot of fun DJing, and it was really great to see all the energy from everyone!
It was again a nightmare getting back to our hotel, we left the venue at 5am and got to our hotel at 9:30am... yeah. We all passed the fuck out and didn't get up until 9pm the next day.
Of course I would get sick for this trip, i felt like I was getting sick before I left but it never kicked in... And the last day it did. awesome. Diego felt like he was getting sick so he decided to stay in that night... Mike, Dante and I headed downtown and decided to pull an all nighter since thats the last night we would get in barcelona.
So the three of us left at 12 midnight... We were supposed to call and get a hold of Adam when we got there... And of course we couldn't, and we almost gave up because we couldn't find any clubs and everything was closing(it was 2am). As we were getting in the cab to go back we see Adam and Shannon walking by, and he tell us were everyone is.
The club we went to was like something out of a movie... The entrance was in an alley, with a guy standing by a rope. We go in and the club is undergound. It had a house room, and an 80s room. The house room was awesome! Dante and I danced a lot... Amazing DJ. The 80s room is 80s, but not like the 80s we have in the states.. Its spanish 80s!
Sergio hooked it up with the drinks, we had a great time!
After the club closed(5am) we went walking around waiting for places to open, as we were going to stay out the entire day... Which became harder and harder as the day went on.
Eventually everything opened, which seemed like it took forever... We all did some shopping, got some CDs, a vinyl, some clothes. :)
We did some exploring of the city, which is gorgeous.
And at 1 we met up at Adams. Diego met us there and Dante, Mike I went to meet Martin(Punto Omega) and his uncle at Sagrada Familia.
Sagrada Familia has been under construction for well over a 100 years, and still isn't complete yet... more info here:
sagradafamilia.org, there's way too much to talk about regarding it so I'll leave it up to you if you want to find out. :)

<---- Sagrada Familia
After all that we headed back to the hotel and I PASSED OUT. We didn't get back to our hotel until about 8pm. Woke up early to pack, went to the airport... We didn't want to deal with the metro again since we had all of our stuff and it was too early to use it anyway. Our cab ride was ridiculously expensive but worth it since we didn't have to stress. It was sad leaving Diego and Dante! Those guys are great, I'm looking forward to going to LA to hang out with them. :)
Our flight to NYC was almost 4 hours late... We had to go to the new jersey airport from NYC for our flight to Tucson, we were supposed to have 7 hours to get there but since our flight was so late we were forced to take a cab rather then a bus or shuttle. Guess how much that was? $200. Also it was rush our in NYC.
We barely made it to our gate to get on.
