Current mood:  tired
Category: Travel and Places
So I'm finally posting Spain stuff... It took me long enough.
I've been so freaking tired from the trip(we got back tuesday), and had to work long days this week. I don't think I'm fully recovered from the jet lag either.

Anyway... SPAIN WAS AMAZING. What a place... So beautiful.
We left from Tucson last thursday at 12 noon, flew to Atlanta(what an amazing airport by the way...), and then to Paris. The Paris airport is MASSIVE... Mike and I had to sit apart from eachother because our flight was over booked, we actually barely made it on the flight. When we got to Paris they load you onto buses, then drive you somewhere random... I'm serious somewhere random. So they forced Mike to get on the bus(I wasn't off the plane yet), he said he was waiting for me and they said "you'll see her again". HA! When i got onto my bus we were driving for 25 minutes until we were dropped off, like I said... Massive airport. fortunately I was dropped off where Mike was. Its pretty scary driving in the bus because they drive on the RUNWAY, yes where the PLANES ARE. So its like plane comes by, we stop... Plane goes by we go. And the runways go right over a highway. So theres cars directly under the planes taking off.
The flight from Paris to Barcelona was good, short.
After all that flying I don't think my ears have ever popped so much in my life.

When we got to Barcelona we waited for Dante and Diego to get in, then we all tried to figure out how we were going to get to the hotel. Which turned out to be really far away from the airport... The cabs wanted 60 euros a PERSON, no way... So we took the metro to the other side of town. Got a bit lost... Then it took us I don't know how long to get a cab to pick us up, we had a lot of stuff with us. 4 people, with music equipment and what not. If it wasn't for Diego we would have been really screwed, because he speaks spanish.
When we finally got the the hotel we all passed out, without eating.. So that kinda sucked.
The next day was the show, so we got on the metro again... with all of our crap for later(equipment, clothes), so that was a pain in the ass... Again we would have been screwed without Diego.
When we finally got the downtown Barcelona it was amazing, definitely worth all the crap getting there.
We went to find where Adam was staying, on the rambla... Amazing area.
Dropped off our stuff and walked around. I did some shopping! It was awesome.
And after a few hours we were picked up by Sergio to head down to the venue.
The Venue was nice, great sound, very professional and knowledgeable crew(which is a big change from most places). The backstage had a fridge that was totally packed with beer, soda, water, redbull and fruit drinks... AHH! amazing. And we had lots of food.
Had a lot of fun hanging out with people there, met Punto Omega(who we ended up hanging out with a lot that weekend).
The show went well, the first band was pretty good... Punto Omega was awesome! Whoa. And Inure kicked some serious ass. :)
After the show we headed over to the club, after we dropped Punto Omega's gear off.
Checked out the gear, started DJing later in the night.
I had a lot of fun DJing, and it was really great to see all the energy from everyone!
It was again a nightmare getting back to our hotel, we left the venue at 5am and got to our hotel at 9:30am... yeah. We all passed the fuck out and didn't get up until 9pm the next day.

Of course I would get sick for this trip, i felt like I was getting sick before I left but it never kicked in... And the last day it did. awesome. Diego felt like he was getting sick so he decided to stay in that night... Mike, Dante and I headed downtown and decided to pull an all nighter since thats the last night we would get in barcelona.
So the three of us left at 12 midnight... We were supposed to call and get a hold of Adam when we got there... And of course we couldn't, and we almost gave up because we couldn't find any clubs and everything was closing(it was 2am). As we were getting in the cab to go back we see Adam and Shannon walking by, and he tell us were everyone is.
The club we went to was like something out of a movie... The entrance was in an alley, with a guy standing by a rope. We go in and the club is undergound. It had a house room, and an 80s room. The house room was awesome! Dante and I danced a lot... Amazing DJ. The 80s room is 80s, but not like the 80s we have in the states.. Its spanish 80s!
Sergio hooked it up with the drinks, we had a great time!
After the club closed(5am) we went walking around waiting for places to open, as we were going to stay out the entire day... Which became harder and harder as the day went on.
Eventually everything opened, which seemed like it took forever... We all did some shopping, got some CDs, a vinyl, some clothes. :)
We did some exploring of the city, which is gorgeous.
And at 1 we met up at Adams. Diego met us there and Dante, Mike I went to meet Martin(Punto Omega) and his uncle at Sagrada Familia.
Sagrada Familia has been under construction for well over a 100 years, and still isn't complete yet... more info here: sagradafamilia.org, there's way too much to talk about regarding it so I'll leave it up to you if you want to find out. :)
<---- Sagrada Familia

After all that we headed back to the hotel and I PASSED OUT. We didn't get back to our hotel until about 8pm. Woke up early to pack, went to the airport... We didn't want to deal with the metro again since we had all of our stuff and it was too early to use it anyway. Our cab ride was ridiculously expensive but worth it since we didn't have to stress. It was sad leaving Diego and Dante! Those guys are great, I'm looking forward to going to LA to hang out with them. :)
Our flight to NYC was almost 4 hours late... We had to go to the new jersey airport from NYC for our flight to Tucson, we were supposed to have 7 hours to get there but since our flight was so late we were forced to take a cab rather then a bus or shuttle. Guess how much that was? $200. Also it was rush our in NYC.
We barely made it to our gate to get on.

So I have updated this blog in a while, add my livejournal if you want to actually see more entries... I'm trying to do this more though.

SO, just cofirmed today. I will be DJing in SPAIN in about a month. Barcelona, for NOCTURNA. w0000!
you can check out the club myspace here: NOCTURNA.
May 19th, so be there if you can.
Mike will be playing as a live member with INURE that night.
I'm not sure how long we'll be staying, as I'm trying to book more DJ gigs while we're out. And also booking for Alter Der Ruine, which live would be Mike and I as it looks now. So if anyone has European connections, it would be greatly appreciated!

Other stuff... Tonight is MUTINY which has been doing really really well over the past few weeks, I think we found the formula that works for the night.
I have some other DJ gigs booked right now: on the 23rd of this month I'm doing Vegas, and ADR is playing... June I'm in phoenix 3 times, SADISCO*(16th), Black Coffee(19th), and Chasers for a show(I don't have the date on that yet).
And there should be something else out of state in June, you'll just have to wait and see what that is! :P

I've been so busy lately I feel like the days have been going by like hours, but I really feel like I'm doing something.. and working towards something awesome. Mike has been working his butt off too, his album is due in about a month. And let me tell you.. So far it sounds amazing. Great things are going to happen with ADR.

I hope you are all doing well :)

Mutiny! @The Wench was good the other night... We were up in the booth rather then on the stage last night because they had some issues with equipment blowing up... yes, exciting. :)
Next week should be back on the stage, but we're actually considering staying in the booth and running the projector onto the stage every week.
We're going to have a myspace for the night set up ASAP, and we got our flyers and posters.. We'll also be making promo stuff like shirts, stickers, pins.. And possible beanies. We also still have give aways that people didn't take on new years, I think people were confused and didn't know if they were allowed to take them. :P
got some great pictures of me... I'll post them soon!

Das Bunker was the shitttt!!! ahhh that was amazing

Getting to LA, and our Hotel room was quite an ordeal, and I hadn't really slept that night, or really that much for the past week so I was pretty messed up.. And I couldn't sleep in the car, blah!
We got lost getting to our hotel and the hotel gave us bad directions.. Then some how our reservation didn't exist when we got there and at this point it was an hour until we had to leave the hotel to get to bunker... It got worked out and I was so tired I thought I was going to flip out.

We got to bunker and checked out the equitpment.... The Noise room for that night was me, 5arah, & //she//... ARIZONA NOISE INVATION!!
hehe.. Yeah we're all AZ DJs.
We all totally rocked it... Whoa.. It was an amazing feeling to get that floor moving.
I played my new track in my second set and there were a ton of people dancing, it was exciting!

Here are my sets:

Converter - Stand Beside Him(Power)
Noisex - One Vision
Soman - Innocence
KiEw - Visite
Roger Rotor - Beyond Beyond
Architect - Beyer Dynamic
5F-X - Sypwarerecord(live)

-----

DJ Plastic Disease - Chaotic
Prometheus Burning - Some Things Are Meant To Stay Broken
Punch Inc. - The Punisher

Alter Der Ruine - A New Wave Of Terror
Terrorfakt - Headcase
Noisuf-x - Die Tam-Tams klopfen nicht meh
S.I.N.A - How Long
Mono No Aware - Tepalock

anddd ADR also signed their record deal with Sistinas that night :)
I'm so very excited for them... Mike has worked so hard to get this project going, and I think the lineup they have couldn't be better.
And also German is I think one of the nicest people I've ever met.
It was of course great to see John, Franck, Sam, Shane()... And it was great to formally meet Karloz.
It was great to meet a lot of people there... And I was amazed how many people knew who I was already.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible.
Thank you Franck & John, everyone who has promoted my DJing(via my myspace page or otherwise), everyone who has helped me get DJ gigs.. I owe everyone for helping me get this.
And I've worked my ass off this past year trying to get my name out there and get as many gigs as a possibly can.

And thank you to everyone who has helped promote ADR, bought CD's etc...
And thank you to everyone at Das Bunker for being so suportive and really pushing this to happen.

Here's some pictures:

So I'm finally making the entry that I had wanted to make earlier but I didn't have time before the new year.

2006 was very good to Mike and I, and I'm excited to be in 2007 now because already its proving to be an even better year.

in 2006 I made leaps and bounds with music, I got a lot of really cool DJing spots and aquired a residency at the Asylum. Which means a lot because I love the Asylum.
In a short amount of time I managed to get my name our there.. Which took a lot on my part.
I don't think I've ever worked to hard in my life. Its really like having another job, but much more fulfilling. :)
I'm also doing music now, which I'll be devoting more time to this year.
A noise project, and I'm also getting into programming hardcore(electronic music people... :P), breaks, and drum n bass.

Last year was also full of ups and downs, mostly ups obviously... We had some money issues, because Mike almost died at one of his jobs so he didn't work for a while.
We also had a big fiasco involving ADR's CD release here in town, but that got worked out.. And they sold out the venue!
We also moved this year... Thank god, as nice as Ridgepoint may look nice from the outside.. Its not that nice. And our car was broken into 3 times there, once the ignition was drilled into... I'm really sick of meth heads.
And at the end of the year I barely saw Mike because he was in school and working like crazy.. But now into the new year he's not going to be at school as much and will be working a different job. So we're both happy about that.

Going into the new year...
I had a gig with DJ Noirtech for New Years Eve @The Surly Wench. and it couldn't have gone better.
It was crazy to get ready for because we were down to the line with stuff.. We had to bag over a 100 give aways... And I finished the video that we played on the projector on the way to the club in the car haha.. But yes, definitely a great experience!
My set for the night and some pictures are in a previous post. :)

Mike was running sound for Tiffany on new years eve, yes Tiffany from the 80's(I think we're alone now)... And it was at a gay club. And let me just say.. He spends one night at a gay club and now he's Dr. Fashion? well.. He actually wanted me to call him CAPTAIN Fashion. :P

Now we're in 2007...
I'm DJing Das Bunker on January 19th in LA, and I will be DJing Fetish Revolution(Horns n' halos)on Febuary 10th in Phoenix... And there's going to be something else which will be very sweet that should be starting at the end of the month.. I'll post about it when I have the official details. :)
Basically DJ Noirtech and I will be rocking your world this year. mhm.

Now I'm finally back into the swing of my life haha.. It was a rough new years weekend.. So back to the gym, work, and more work. :)
But its great, I really do love it.

I hope this year brings great things for all of you!

Its been an interesting weekend... A bunch of people I haven't talked to in forever(some years) contacted me in the last two days.
I'm up to 5 so far.. WHAT THE HELL?!
Very strange. O.o

It also felt weird this weekend at the club, went early with Lisa & Jeff, left early-ish(11)... No Emmers makes it feel weird there. :/
Well I have my Lisa thank goodness... :D

I figured I post this in here since I never use this blog. :P
I'm going to try to use it though!
