so because it is the gift giving season, i've decide that i'm going to post a list of things i want just 'cause if you want to keep me as a friend you better have one of the following things available. oh, and i don't give gifts, i just receive them:

- nintendo wii

- digital camera (at least 5 megapixels)

- ipod (i have one, but it isnt color screen or video player)

- powerbook (so whatever, its over $3,000 but can you put a price on my happiness?)

yea when it comes to clothing, i dont trust none of ya'll so gift certificates to high-quality clothing stores are much appreciated. so... start shopping, ill be here waiting.

i went running today... i don't know why? it was raining even. still i decided to dust of my running shoes and go out and run a bit. it felt nice. im determined to lose some weight, i have to. not even for vanity reason, if anything because diabetes and heart conditions run in my family.

i will lose the weight. mark my words.

okay i may offend some of my cuban friends, but i feel as a journalism graduate my opinion has some weight. i just finished reading this article from the herald:

Exiles protest El Nuevo Herald dismissals

ok Cubans lemme give it to you straight. you CANNOT work for a newspaper and get paid by the U.S. goverment at the same time. it is against the unspoken journalism code of ethics. the press is suppose to a watchdog group for the people against the goverment. the press, in my opinion, is the 4th branch of goverment that does important checks and balances. so what if past editors knew these writers were getting paid, McClatchy is the new owner and if they dont want people working for them who are on the goverment payroll, it is their decision.

and while we are at it, el Nuevo Herald has and will always be the Miami Herald's dishonest, agenda pushing, anti-liberal sister. as a newspaper it is an embarrasment to the word journalism, not because it is the conservative branch of the Herald, but because it deliberatly pushes the elitiest Cuban exile agenda all the while making the majority of Cubans, who probably dont give a flying fuck what Coral Gables Habaneros say, look bad.

they got fired for valid reasons. GET OVER IT!

i hate drama... too much drama for your mamma. whatever. things seem to be cooling down again, but they will definitely flare up again like a herpes outbreak.

had fun (which is debatable) this week. studio a on friday, closed that shit down. nocturnal was a bust. so headed to chill at josh's place. sarah definitely needs to drink less (hahaha). let's just say promiscuity and aids were brought up. jorge, sarah and i left, leaving liddy behind who was too housed to drive her audi, not that i mind driving it. well anyway, jorge as always wanted to dine at his stock holdings, denny's, but sarah and i convinced him to go to ihop, which i love their french toast.

saturday, poplife sucked. why we keep going there is beyond me? they did play some songs i actually knew, fannypack's "you gotta know" and basement jaxx's "hot 'n cold." the remodeled the place. took out the fountain, painted the floors and added a bunch of lights. interesting stuff happened while drink in the hummer. too interesting for me. debated wether to go to rokbar, but jorge doesn't have stock at the beach, so he doesn't want to go... ever. so jorge, liddy, sarah, melissa and i went to pawn shop, met up people. danced and closed it down as well. was tired so i went home, the rest went to space.

busy weekend.

so my poverty has reached a new low... im so poor i couldnt pay my comcast bill so i have no cable or internet until friday when i can pay for the damn thing. im already going through withdrawl.

although the too poor to buy food is still going strong. i've realized i dont need to buy as much food as i do. i do need to however stock up my pantry. its amazing how much food you can make if you have a good reserve of non-perishables. i feel like im on Survivor, since im rationing out my rice until i can go shopping on friday.

in other fun news. the labor day weekend was cold, and as jorge would say it snowed 7 feet. i got wasted on wednesday at the mark (weekday i know, bad move), skipped out thursday, got trashed on friday and had an okay saturday. i wanted to go out sunday, but my body was not having it.

anyway got to get back to work...
