What an amazing summer this has been. Tom and I had the awesome opportunity and wonderful responsibility to travel all around this great country and do what we love to do- SKITS! What a weird thing to say to people when they ask us our "jobs". We still will drive to a gig and talk about high school and just stand in complete amazement that we are still together and still doing something we had so much fun doing when we were juniors and seniors.
This summer added a newer twist in speaking and doing the skits. Challanging, awe-inspiring and a huge feeling of "God, what message do you want to say tonight?". We tried to do our very best to say words of truth and grace that we thought you should hear if we were with you this summer. So many different subjects: baggage, grace, truth, purpose, dreams, truly living...all areas to think about now instead of when you are 23 or 24 years old. (If you are 23 or 24 or older...these themes seem to stick and buzz around in your head don't they?)
This fall holds many challenges for us and we are a little tired. Pray for us. Pray for new ideas for skits, messages and little nuggets of truth. Write to us with funny stories, serious dilemmas or questions. We want to help you make a difference in this world.
I'm convinced: if you know what your talents and gifts are-if you know whose you belong to - if you know that you have a meaning in this world- the majority of your life won't be wasted. Will there be "slips" and "dips"? Yes. Those seem to be the "ghosts" that shape our life and make our faith stronger. The hard part is when a slip or a dip occurs, people give up. Don't give up. These are "light and momentary troubles". A BLIP on the radar screen when you look at your whole life. Keep walking, keep dreaming, keep being aware of the life you live!
We are your biggest fans when it comes to you and what you can do in this world to leave an imprint on this world.
