Les 10 titres sont posés, il reste plein de choses dont quelques recording et une petite inspection des voix.. l'étape suivante sera le mix en septembre/octobre. Et ensuite, prendre le bâton et la pélerine et partir sur les routes pour trouver le partenaire de la distribution.

Catgang is a French label founded on the work of fellow French artist Watine. Catherine Watine is an artist from Saint Cloud, France who featured a compilation called Random Moods in 2005. In 2006 she followed up with her debut full-length album Dermaphrodite.
What's going on with the french electro rock scene? First a great album by Emile Simon that bends the genre into her own sound of not-rock meets not-electronica and now Watine gives us the US release of Dermaphrodite that follows this successful trend. Dermaphrodite is too smart to be electro with the wonderful quiet moments and sparse piano lines. It is too hip to be trip-hop with the Massive Attack-style drum skittering that goes beyond copying into "influenced-by". It is too mellow to really be "rock" and rightfully so. Who needs loud guitar choruses to prove a song is well-written.
?Standout tracks like "Charabia" builds along a nice chamber piano melody and keeps flowing with a melancholy sing-song bounce that would fit nicely into any Tim Burton movie. Another song following that model is "Anymore", again, a piano leads the song but the quiet electronic bleeps and kicks lend this cinematic track that necessary extra depth. "Like Those Films" is the perfect example of restraint. Where Kate Bush or Tori Amos would delve into the emotional element of the song to an extreme, Watine shows a reserve that keeps the song from veering into self-indulgent melodrama. "Not A Pretense" has a very jazzy backdrop that will have you snapping along like a Triplets Of Bellville audience.??The best track to sample Watine is the opener, "Follow My Vision". Please listen all the way through, thank you; nice strings, breathy vocals, acoustic guitar, and Beatle-esqe piano, all wrapped in a modern sheen of electronic drums and a strumming electric noise backdrop.??Released just in time as a great album to welcome in the spring with a little dreary sky, creating shadows and highlights on the glimmering new life that's just beginning to peak above the ground.??~ Dedric Moore (kansas City)

i've started working on my second solo album. Previously 10 tracks (2 french ones at least !) I'll do my best to put one song by the end of may, on the player.
If you want to support me, it's now !! You can leave your name and e-mail adress, just as I can send you more infos, and a promotional offer at the release (october, November ??).
As an indie producer of my own work, it has been very hard to save money from the last production (my distribution for the album DERMPAHRODITE felt down.. and I've never received any money for my about 2 000 copies sold !) Most of you know that !
I hate asking... but in that case, it is just to know if you'll be interested in the new album.
Well, if there is very few people replying, I know that you have no time to read blogs..
and I'll not be hurted..

Alors, enfin, je me suis mise sur le 2ème album solo. Normalment, il y aura 10 titres dont au moins 2 en français, cette fois-ci. Je pense mettre 1 titre sur mon player en mai prochain. Si vous voulez m'encourager, c'est le moment ou jamais ! Laissez-moi votre nom et votre adresse e-mail, pour que je puisse vous envoyer plus d'infos, ainsi qu'une offre promotionnelle pour la sortie (octobre, novembre ??).
Je suis une toute petite production indépendante, et j'ai eu bien des problèmes avec la distribution de mon album DERMAPHRODITE (je n'ai rien touché de mes ventes - et pourtant près de 2000 albums vendus !, car mon distributeur a fait faillite) alors je n'ai pas trop de budget devant moi. Et il est important que je puisse appréhender le nombre de CD à presser... alors, merci par avance de me dire si vous serez intéressé à priori.
Si ce blog ne reçoit que très peu de réponse, je n'en voudrais à personne, car je sais que vous n'avez pas le temps de lire les blogs, à part les 3 amis qui s'y sont abonnés (d'ailleurs, comment faire pour que vous vous abonniez... les autres !!)

Le soleil de ces derniers jours préfigure de nouvelles joies.. Alors, voici que j'ai chargé le titre "Follow my vision" sur mon player. Il parle de toutes ces choses au fond de nous qui ne demandent qu'à voir le jour. Nous ne sommes pas condamnés à l'excellence, et nous ne sommes pas non plus condamnés à tenir compte du jugement d'autrui - juste chercher ce qui résonne le mieux en nous, et faire pousser ces fragiles bonheurs...
