Hey kiddos!

So a lot of you have been tweeting at Eric and I lately asking us if we can get you into the Owl City shows because they have been sold out for some time! So we are going to give everyone a chance to win a pair of tickets. Unfortunately there are a few dates that we won't be able to do this for because of either family or friends/management and those dates are:

October 16th - Seattle, WA
October 20th - West Hollywood, CA
October 22nd - Anaheim, CA

ALL OTHER DATES ARE UP FOR GRABS! - You can see a full list of them under the touring section of our MySpace page.

So you're probably asking yourself right now what you need to do right…? WELL! All you need to do is make an amazing and entertaining video that will convince us of why you deserve tickets to that date!

***NOTE: If you fail to meet any of these requirements you will be automatically disqualified. So PLEASE read through these thoroughly:

- Explain why you want and deserve tickets in a CREATIVE way (i.e.. Sing us a song? Do a little dance? Finger puppets? Just something that won't put us to sleep and will catch our attention! Think outside the box guys! COME ON! You're earning these tickets!

- Videos should be AT LEAST 2 minutes in length (Please do not exceed 4 minutes because we expect to be watching a lot of videos!

- Upload your video onto YouTube

- Email us the link to your video here: tsavideocontest2009@googlemail.com
Put your name AND the date you would like to go to in the subject like of the email. (For example IF you want to go to Austin, TX; PLEASE put: Jane Doe - Austin, TX in the subject line. Easy enough... right?)
This contest will end on October 7th (So if you send us any videos after that we wont be able to consider you for the tickets.)

So there you go! Have fun!! We look forward to seeing all of your beautiful faces in the videos you'll be submitting and then again on the tour! Thank you for being so good to us all for all these years! We love you SO SO SO MUCH!

Photo: This picture was taken during IU Dance Marathon in 2008 with April Dhamalongkrot, a group of other IU students, Molly Hess (the little girl) and her father.
"This will be my second year with IUDM. Last year I participated as a dancer without prior understanding as to how significantly the event would impact me. As physically and emotionally trying the 36 hours were I was reminded of why I was there each time I looked into a Riley Kid's eyes or heard their heroic story. I was paired with a little girl named Molly Hess. Every time that I began to get tired or want to complain, I would look for Molly and all she had to do was smile at me, and my exhaustion was instantly dispelled. I am steadfastly compelled by the principle to live selflessly for others, especially those who live in and with more unfortunate conditions than my own. This cause stirred up a passion in my heart that I didn’t know existed before. I went into the event thinking that I was changing lives, but it was my own very life that was changed after those 36 hours.

Any and all donations are appreciated. THANK YOU! :)

On November 13, 2009 Indiana University Dance Marathon will be hosting their nineteenth annual dance marathon. IU Dance Marathon was established in 1991 by IU Alumna Jill Stewart after the loss of her friend Ryan White to the AIDS virus contracted through a blood transfusion. Every year since then, thousands of IU students participate in this event in order to raise money for the Ryan White Infectious Disease Center at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dancers spend the 36 hour marathon dancing, eating, playing games and activities and listening to Riley patients’ heartwarming stories, all without any sleep and standing the whole time. As we say, “We dance because we can, we stand for those who can’t.” Our organization raises money through pledges from family and friends and a variety of donations through other fundraising events. Corporate sponsors cover the cost of hosting the marathon, which enables all the money raised by the participants to directly benefit the children at Riley Hospital.

Our motto, “The Chance of a Lifetime, to Give a Lifetime of Chance” completely sums up the spirit of the event. IU Dance Marathon is currently the 2nd largest student run philanthropic event in the nation and largest Children’s Miracle Network marathon to date. In its first year, IU Dance Marathon raised $11,000. Last year, a record breaking $1,376,550.23 was raised for the kids at Riley Hospital, bringing the grand total since 1991 to over $7 million."
- April Dhamalongkrot

Hey everyone!

This morning we confirmed that we will be visiting the United Kindom for a little over a week in September! We're going to be touring briefly with Joe Brooks as direct support.

This has really been a long time coming for us. The emails we've gotten over the last 4 1/2 years with requests for us to come the the UK are finally being answered!

We hope all of you in the UK will come out to these shows and hang out! We'll post more information about these shows (and some possible headlining dates on the days we have off) as it develops. These are the dates as of right now:

During our live broadcast yesterday, I asked everyone watching to send me song titles and possible album title ideas. Some of the stuff I got was really interesting. I’d kinda like to set up one place where people can send me their ideas. So I’m gonna keep coming back to this blog entry and use it to help me pick.

Therefore, what are some of your song or album title ideas?

Go here to submit them: http://www.erickimberlinbowley.com/post/153124373/studio-day-2-eldorado-recording-studios

"Where you live shouldn't determine whether you live."

This is a sneak peek at the new The Scene Aesthetic & Invisible Children collaboration t-shirt! TSA plans on donating a portion of the proceeds for every shirt sold directly to Invisible Children. These shirts will be sold on our A Summer To Remember Tour!

(Also, the shirts will actually be printed on the Althetic Blue - American Apparel Tri-Blend tee's)

Do you guys like the design? Who would support TSA and Invisible Children and wear one of these?
