We are playing this thursday at studenterhuset in Copenhagen, and the mighty fine Farven Fornem will also be performing so you don't want to miss it.
Although we have played there many times before we feel sure that this night will be special.
To ensure this we will be bringing a devine creature from another dimension, that we recently bought at a little shop in copenhagen called Yrgsharghh. That's the name of the shop mind you.
The name of the creature is Derek.
His powers are unbelievable.
He can turn sugar into water and sing like Kanye West.
Anyway.
It's cheap and we have been preparing for the show like small dogs in our new band haven,  and we haven't played live since the beginning of June, so we ask you umbly to consider coming.

It will be great. We promise!

Doors are at 9 pm.
Cheers and see you there.

What's going on?
Well, we are playing one last gig tomorrow night before we take a long hard earned vacation.
We will playing with our friends from Twins Twins at Huset i Magstræde.
This will be an exciting night and our show might end up being very different from what people are used to.
A couple of days ago our guitarist broke a bone in one of his little fingers. We do not know if the doctors will allow him to play tomorrow night, but we have already found ourselves a nice backup if they don't. So prepare yourself for a concert that may or may not include a special bandguestmember.
The brilliant Twins Twins are playing at exactly 9 pm and we will be playing at 10 pm so be sure to be there on time.
Oh what's that?
Is it a plane?
Is it a flying guitar the size of a small moon?
Is it Harry Potter and his friend in a flying car?
No it's Waking Life on a giant cloud performing one last gig before their summer vacation.
Hell yeah
See you there

Thanks to everyone who came to our show at this year's Spot Festival.
You were brilliant and we had a great time. Especially when everybody got up and danced at the end :)
A special thanks to the group of people to the right of the stage that danced through the entire concert. Some of them were Polish and very kind we discovered later.
Also thanks to the very nice people that came up to us during the rest of the Festival and thanked us for the Concert.
A very nice black guy came up to us right after the show and had this to say.
Response to our concert

We are playing at the Start! Festival next friday. June the 5th. Well actually it's saturday cause we're playing very late at night on friday. At 01.30 am or something.
So that means you have time to get drunk, make love to your boyfriend, play World of Warcraft, watch antichrist, increase your skill in guitarhero, listen to your favourite country blues record, eat cheeries, take drugs, paint your self, destroy a neonlight, post something silly in a blog and dress up all nice before our show.

The Program for the festival can be seen here.
program for Start Festival

We hope to see you there.
We don't want to get your expectations fired out of proportion, but if you come you will remember this show till the day you die.

Dear Friends!
We are playing at Studenterhuset this friday and it's our first concert since Christmas., which means you can't miss it.
Naturally we have build up a lot of live energy during the last 5 months and all of it will be released this friday.
The Peppermints are supporting us and we know that they will blast you away.
Everything starts around 8 pm and if your there on time we will have time for a beer or two with you.
We have new songs and songs that we have changed and generally we almost feel like we are a new band.
Right now we are recording vocals and trombone for the album at Lydkraft in Odense, but it will be nice to take a break from the recordings on friday to play a hell of a gig.

See you friday :)

Little boy: Oh look at the sun. It is looking very tasty. May I have a bite?
Mum: No! How many times must I tell you that the sun is dangerously hot.
Little boy: But it is so big and yellow, and warm. Please mum. Please.
Mum: Alright dear, but only one bit. Don't forget about the poor people in Africa.

Hello everyone and happy sunshine!
We have returned to our village of sin after having spent 18 days or so in Sweden.
Somewhere in a beautiful forest on a beautiful mountain by a beautiful lake, in a studio called Silence Studios, we recorded the foundation to our debut album. This is how the studio looks.

Anyway, what this means is that we have recorded the drums, the bass and the guitars for all of the songs. Apart from that we recorded a few vocal tracks, a bit of organ, and funny sounds in general that would not be found anywhere else in the world.
We feel that we have managed to keep a lot of the live feeling that we wanted on the album, and the material we ended up with is to us very promising and satisfactory.
We can't wait to continue the recordings at Lydkraft Studiet in Odense.
We learned a lot about sound on our trip and we can't wait to try and use some of this knowledge at our concerts.
That's why you have to come to one of our next gigs.
It will be a new Waking Life with the old energy intact. We promise.
Our first show will be at Studenterhuset May the 8th. It is a party friday :)
We are also playing at this years Spot Festival on the 22nd of May and at Start! Festival on June the 5th.
If you come we might tell you the story, from our trip to Sweden, of how Asp was cornered by a bear on a mountain and was considering jumping over the edge when he was rescued by a wolf dressed as a rhino.

You cannot see the bear or the wolf (dressed as a rhino) on the picture, but you can see Asp and probably also see that he is looking at the bear coming right for him.

Farewell dear boys and girls!
Tomorrow we are leaving for the Silence Studio in Värmland (Sweden) where we are recording the main tracks for our debut album over the next 17 days. This is very exciting for us and something that we have been preparing for in months.
With us we have producer Niels Høg from Lydkraft Studiet in Odense, technician Kasper Mohr and a van loaded with equipment and fireworks.

Of course we expect to see some of these:

And maybe some of these:

And perhaps even one of these:

Except for these animals and a few Swedish technicians we expect to be totally isolated from the outside world with nothing to do all day except to concentrate on recording our songs.

See you all when we return

Lots of kisses

It is with pleasure in our little hearts that we can announce that we will be playing at this year's Spot Festival, which takes place from the 21st of May to the 23rd.
It has long been one of our many desires to get a chance to show off at this great Festival, and if you haven't planned your spring trip to Århus yet, then you might as well plan it so that you are there for the Festival :)

A lot of great acts will be there and you can check them out here.

A list of confirmed names for Spot

We hope to see you there.

To everyone out there:
We Hope You Are Well!

We have uploadet three new songs for you. They are called:
The Mansion of Movement
Caspian Sea
Chirango

They were recorded back in November in a cabin somewhere near Rørvig in the middle of the woods. There we recorded a lot of the songs and sketches that we are considering for our debut album. And now you can listen to three of the songs here.
They are prerecordings and can be seen as teasers for the album.
In other words the songs aren't finished. Nothing ever is of course, but when it comes to these songs we are very interested in hearing your opinion about them because every kind of feedback might turn out to be useful when we start recording these songs for the album.
So please tell us what you think about them.

A video documenting our goofy adventures in the mystic cabin can now be seen on our profile as well.
Please enjoy :)

And if by some chance you are considering marrying this guy:

Then please for the love of God invite us along for the party.

Kisses

Hi friends.
We hope you all had a nice christmas and a fantastic new year's eve (if that is possible).
While we are working on finalizing the plans and outlining the process of recording an album we need you to help us with something very important.
More than anything we want to play at Roskilde Festival, and right now and throughout January everyone may cast their votes on what bands they want to see at this year..s Festival.

Click here if you want us to play at Roskilde Festival

Hurry cause they only allow you to suggest bands in January.

Now to those of you who did click the link and follow the tedious instructions, and of course filled in Waking Life in the empty columns here is your reward. A picture from your favourite dog movie:

No just kidding. We know that ain't your favourite. Here you go:
