I hope this finds everyone well.  It's been a busy and amazing year since I moved back to NYC last January.  I've focused on a few different things in the music world but one pleasant suprise that's popped up is working with 4 super talented musicians on a batch of new tunes I have.  We've been rehearsing for months and have really taken the time to work out songs, parts, and structure.  It's super exciting stuff and we'll have some new music up in the next week or so at www.myspace.com/reelbyreel so add us and stay posted!

The bigger news is that we're playing the Canal Room Monday, November 30th at 9pm.  It will be our first show and we'd love to have your support!  It's $10 and Rachel Platten will be opening at 8pm!

Will send out more reminders but for now be well!

Folks, I hope you are staying warm right now and looking forward to a warmer march!! I am! Anyway, I'm down south playing guitars and bass on a friends record so the weathers actually quite nice. Just wanted to let you know a few television shows my tunes will be in this month. The song ALONE will be in 'Jockeys' on Animal Planet this Sunday, March 8th, at 6:30pm Eastern time. It's on an Episode called "Hands Down". At least this is what I'm told. Apparently it already aired last Friday, but will rerun this Sunday. Nice!! The second song will be off of my Down In Flames record called LONG DAY and will just be instrumental background music in The Real World Brooklyn which airs March 11th at 10pm. The third placement will be the song MOVE ON and it will be the 'Featured' song in The Real World Brooklyn on the 18th at 10pm. They'll be I.D.ing MOVE ON as it plays on the screen and both tunes will be featured on the MTV Soundtrack site which is a cool promotional too for artist to present songs to film and tv supervisors. Check it out at
http://soundtrack.mtv.com/
I don't know how long the songs will play or if it's all in the background of scenes etc. I am thankful for the placements and all the people that made this possible!!
Funny thing is I don't have a television or cable at the moment. There's got to be some irony in this:)

Be well and I'll be at my neighbors watching hopefully with you!

I had the very fine opportunity to do an interview for BLOGINITY and they were very pleased with the interview and posted it. Thanks to the Billboard folks for bringing out the Bloginity folks to my last show in NYC. Thanks to the Bloginity folks for the opportunity! They've recently done interviews with Brett Dennan, Jessie Baylin, Laura Jansen, Thriving Ivory, and William Fitzsimmons to name a few. It's a very hip and cool site promoting great music and artists so I'm very honored that they chose me as one of their interviewees. I answered in depth many questions about my music career and the future of it. I hope you find it insightful and interesting. Check out the interview and Bloginity site at the link below!!

Hope everyone is well. I'm enjoying the cooler weather down south for sure.
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know I put a new tune up. I wrote it with Sam Bisbee and Reni Lane. It was intended for her but we layed down the trax and I did a vocal and Mr. Bo Boddie did some production and holla...a new creation was born!
Let me know your thoughts on it!

Take care,

Wes

I'm very pleased to put the new song Too Late on my Myspace page. I feel it's a nice new direction, yet an extension of my last record direction, Down In Flames (mad props to the Major Who catz on D.I.F.!) This new tune was written with my pal Sam Bisbee and produced by Bo Boddie. Please take a listen when your ears and heart feel so inclined.
I think you'll dig. Let me know what you think!

Take care,

Wes

I just got the good news that the song 'Move On' off my record 'Down In Flames' is going to be used on the new season of GOSSIP GIRL! For all you GG fans it will be airing Monday, September 8th, 8/7c on the CW Channel. I'd like to give a mad shout out to everyone who made this possible!! This is a great opportunity and if you'd like to hear 'Move On' or buy the album 'Down In Flames' head to Wes Hutchinson or to iTUNES! Tell your friends, family, dogs, cats, pet panthers, and your creepy uncle Ted the news.

Take care and be well,

Wes

So most of you know I took the gig last month as Clay Aiken's guitar player on all the early morning and late nite shows. It was an invaluable experience and one of the best shows we did was the 'Sessions @ AOL'. It was one of the few shows where I was given the opportunity to play electric, classical, and acoustic (see solo on 'Everything I Don't Need:). The band and all performers were top notch and I hope to appear on the show again on my own terms. Bands like Wilco, Interpol, Maroon 5, Rihanna (HOT!), and many more have played it yet Clay, to my suprise, has the most views to date (70,000 infact). Anyway, it looks cool, we 'soft' rocked as hard as possible, and I'm thankful for every experience that gets me to where I'm going.

Be well,

I don't have a Valentine this year (boo hoo) so I'm choosing to spend my evening with the lovely and gracious folks over at the Cosmopolitan Sirius Satellite Channel. I'll be playing some love songs and maybe some make up songs...who knows. The show was such a success last time I played that they've invited me back!! Very generous of Patrick and his crew. If you don't have Sirius then head to www.sirius.com/cosmoradio to sign up for a free trial listen. I'm on at 6pm Eastern time for about a half hour or so. Tune in and have a lovely Valentines Day!

I've had so many request, after playing the Cosmopolitan Station on Sirius Satellite Radio a week ago, to post the acoustic songs that I performed that nite! Here you are...five tunes on Snowcap for sale (marked Live Cosmo Sirius Sateliite Radio) and `Stay' on the MYSPACE player to listen to. They are all live, straight from the board with no mixing, but I feel they've got a good sound and vibe for you to appreciate and listen to. It's how the songs were written in their stripped down format. I hope you enjoy and I hope to play the Cosmo station again before I leave the country very soon. It was an amazing time. Enjoy and be well.

I get to interview Wednesday evening, January 30th from 6pm to 8pm, with my chum Patrick Meagher in the Howard Stern building in New York City about life, relationships, and music on Sirius Satellite Radio!!! It's the Cosmopolitan Station. Yay. It's a subscribed commercial free radio station that hits over millions of listeners a day. Maybe even more. Just being on the modest side:) But...If all goes well I'll do a little series of shows over the next few weeks and make the most of this opportunity. Thanks to Patrick, you'll hear some new tunes and I'll be promoting some new things in my life (Sundown, Samaris, Sushi, Saki, etc.) If you are a subscriber, tune in and if not, get a 3 day subscrition here at http://www.sirius.com/siriusinternetradio

Here's the plug below. Hope to have you hear me babylon and play some tunes promoting my record and more!!!
