Joe (with his Noisola partner Didier Leplae) scored the film Collapse, a documentary by Chris Smith about controversial writer and theorist Michael Ruppert.  We went to the opening last Friday at Angelika, and I have to say (with no bias to my bandmate being involved) that I found the film riveting.  No matter what you think you know, there's sure to be something in Michael's theories and life story that you'll find compelling and worthy of discussion.

What a horrible tragedy...  I didn't know Jerry too well... but he was always an amazingly upbeat and positive person, as well as one of the best musicians I've ever met.  Our condolences to his friends and family.

Much respect,
BJ/P&L

We've been hard at work in our little cave of a practice space, writing a ton of new material for the past several weeks, and we're really psyched to debut some of the new songs at these upcoming live music events:

Saturday 10/24 @ The Elevens (Northampton, MA)
Monday 10/26 @ Death By Audio (Brooklyn, NY)

Yes? YES!

Tomorrow:
We'll be kicking off the Willie Mae-ra-thon, a weekend's worth of
benefit concerts for the Willie Mae Rock Camp For Girls.

For those who don't know:
"Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls is a non-profit music and mentoring
program that empowers girls and women through music education and
activities that foster self-respect, leadership skills, creativity,
critical thinking, and collaboration."

The info for the show is below.  Of special note: P&L guitarist
Sarah Lipstate will also be performing solo as Noveller!

We'll then be leaving for a quick trip to Europe, all those dates
are up on our web sites.

While in Vienna on my Shooting Spires tour, I stopped by the house where my grandmother was born.  I went with the rad folks at They Shoot Music Don't They, who kindly recorded me performing a couple of songs.  Check it out at their site:

Thanks, They Shoot Music!

So we came in dead last, 100 out of 100, in the ATP fans' vote for which bands should perform at "The Fans Strike Back" festival this May 8th-10th.  Which means, in a somewhat counter-intuitive stroke of luck, we'll be performing!

We're still on tour in Europe right now, including a week's worth of shows in the UK, so lots of chances for you UK denizens to catch us make what we make.  Hope to see you!
