Iglomat was featured on the ATX radio show 101x this past sunday, hosted by DJ Austin Powell of the Austin Chronicle. We were the most requested band of the year according to Powell who spun 'Dial Wookie' then faded into the mighty White Denim from Austin. What a follow up!

cheers to 101x

here's the playlist,

Cracking review of 'Dial Wookie' on Is This Music.

Iglomat           'Dial Wookie'             (KFM Records)

'Dial Wookie' is lifted from Iglomat's wonderful debut album (reviewed at http://www.isthismusic.com/iglomatmore-2390). It's an elegiac, gorgeous fusion of live instruments and programming, sounding enigmatic and warm, with its gorgeous tones wrapping you up like a Wookie's embrace. It comes on like a more lush Mogwai, dreamy and dangerous, suave and bruised, packing a lot into its three or so minutes. 'Achtung Kitler (DJ NST Remix) is a reworking of another track from the album. It has a stark, glacial feel, very eerie yet beautiful, all crystalline percussion, weird melodies and vocal samples to the fore. Post-rock meets dub-step might sound like a trite comparison but it seems very apt in describing this compelling remix. Wonderful stuff.

"Dial Wookie" is the first single to be released from Iglomat’s self titled debut album; "Iglomat". The Mike Manzoori directed video has featured on MTV 2’s ’120 Minutes’ and has been heavily played on the MTV Flux channel. If you missed it, catch it again on our myspace.

Following on from our spate of bike and skate video appearances Es footwear have used "Augustus Loop" and "Federal" in two new promo videos. Augustus features in "TréS Amigos" a film Es produced to promote their collaboration with Habitat skateboards. A free copy of the DVD comes free with every pair of Es/Habitat sneaks!
"Federal" features in a film called "Arizona weekend". We’ve posted clips from both of these films on the site.
