My website is up again.

DarkMatterCreations.com

If you click on Futant Oblivion to the left, it will open up all the albums I've released so far. At the bottom of each release, you can download the entire CD in a compressed 'zip' format. Just unzip it and you have the CD and album art.

I'm getting close to releasing "Synagogue Of Satan," just need to add some more to each track and master it. This will soon be on the website.

For the future, Futant Oblivion will do a cover CD entitled "Under Cover Of Darkness" which will feature such bands as Tool, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Blackmoore's Night, Borknagar, Mad Season, Nightwish, and a few others.

You can hear a few covers interspersed on the myspace player here.

After "Under Cover Of Darkness," I will be working on a new original release called "Word And Void." Word and Void will reference Terry Brooks novels and other subjects.

Expect more from Futant Oblivion soon!

My old website (www.darkmattercreations.com) has been cancelled. If anyone wants to download any tracks, from this time on, go to:

Futant Oblivion on Soundclick.com

The cost each year for a large bandwidth site has been too high for my budget at this time. I will however, retain rights on the domain, and possibly open it up again.

Cheers,
Jim (Futant Oblivion)

Hello:

Futant Oblivion has been chosen for some background music in Hoad's Grim, by Jack Kincaid.

Hoad's Grim is an audiobook drama, that is quite astounding. The genre is horror/suspense with great voice acting and various effects. If you all have a chance, give it a listen.

So far Jack Kincaid has released 22 chapters of his novel. I must say, he's a master storyteller, and the entire thing is very intriguing. I am still waiting for the conclusion of the story!

It can be found here:

Giving Up the Ghost, my new release for 2009, is coming at a slow pace. I just recently finished up the track "People Of The Abyss." This track is in reference to Jack London's "The Iron Heel." I thought this would be an anthem to those who are struggling in this capitalistic insanity we know as america. I originally intended to add more to it, then decided this would be an intro to "Son Of The Mourning."

This release has been long and arduous... It seems I have more creative output under a full moon, since I'm such a lunatic when it comes to making my music. I hope to have this entire thing wrapped up in late 2009, depending upon how I feel metaphysically. Maybe a new track once a month.

The track list has changed some, so far. The initial tracklist was not written in stone, and I've taken the liberty to change it yet again.

So here it is:

1). Born Into the Grave
2). People Of The Abyss
3). Son Of The Mourning
4). Audience Of Mind
5). Exorcise The Wound
6). Her Ashen Wings
7). Nightmare Contender
8). Treading Solitude
9). Mark Of The Hunter
10). Keepers of the Gloom
11). Darkside of Heaven
12). Feeding Despair
13). Trail Of Torment
14). Giving Up The Ghost
15). Straightjacket Union

So there it is, constant listener. Keep your ears close to the ground, you will hear trains coming :)

It's time to jump!

4). Exorcise The Wound
5). Immolation For Kings
6). Nightmare Contender
7). Treading Solitude
8). Mouth Of Denial

11). Feeding Despair
12). Consuming Hubris

Hello,

I have completed a new CD, entitled "Incoherent Universe."

It can be heard at the following sites:
Futant Oblivion @ Myspace
and/or
www.DarkMatterCreations.com

The entire process of composing and recording elapsed between May 1st, 2007 and March 20th, 2008.  Some of the influences in this release are Immortal (on The Malignant Mortality), Dream Theater’s Space Dye Vest (Cover), The View Of Everlast (Borknagar Cover).

Meshuggah is also an influence on Civlization’s Dusk.  This piece is based and sequenced from a NYRsound’s Chaos Synth into Sonar.

That’s just a few factoids about this release.  Feel free to download and burn it to a CD.

Enjoy!
