We are now looking for bands for Doomsday 2010.  We have a few already paid in, but as always we could use more kick ass bands to play the Rave / Eagle's Club in Milwaukee with us.  This year we have Godless Rising from the east coast coming out and we may include another national headliner.  The date of the show is January 30th Saturday and it will be only 300$ this year for 50 tix to sell (earning your $ back of course).  The set up will be the same as always and all I ask is that the Doomsday bands push the hell out of this show.  Doomsday will have Max Ink ads, flyering, and maybe some radio.  We will do the shirts and laminates again also.  If you are a fan of a band that you would like to see play Doomsday 2010, do not hesitate to ask your favorite band if they will be a part of it.  Give them shit if they say no, it is always a good time for the fans (because it is a relatively cheap show, only being $10 for 10 or more bands also with vendors selling underground records and swag you normally don't see) and also a good time for the bands because the focus of the show is always the local bands showcasing their tunes to a huge audience. 

This will be Doomsday's 10th show in about 10 years.  Whee!!!

First off I would like to clear the air. I know you guys have heard alot of rumors and speculations, most of which has you guys picking sides and stuff, so here is the flat faced truth to all that you might have heard....my dog is gay.

I don't know how it happened or why.  My vet said I might be giving him one bone too many.  Maybe i left the room with 'queer as folk' on.  if any of you can help, let me know.  but in the meantime, if you ever come over to my house and sit on the floor....well.....he's gunning for ya.  I might have to pass out raincoats when people come over.

we're back from the tour!  it was a lot of fun and everywhere we went the bands and fans were so fucking hospitable and cool....inviting us into their homes and drinking us under the table.  it was a shitload of fun and we only got pulled over once!!!..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

ZOMBIES:

we're doing a music video on Sunday Nov 4 for the song Resurrection.  it'll be at dezz's house in kewaskum.  W9110 County Road D.  let me know if you want to be a part of this--anyone is welcome!  the scenes will involve wedding scenes with people dressed in 'traditional dressy wedding clothes' and scenes with zombies in ripped up wedding clothes, blood, gore and shit.  come with a change of clothes, or clothes that can go from nice to wrecked...also  if you have any old wedding props (lace, trellis's, folding chairs etc.) let me know or just bring them along, and also bring along any costume makeup you got leftover from halloween!!! 

DOOMSDAY!:

The unification of heavy music is fast approaching!!!!  Doomsday is near, and we're searching for interested bands.  Feel free to spread the word via myspace, email, IM, phone etc.  the more bands involved, the bigger and better the show...plus it's all kick ass promotion for the scene!! 

Doomsday is tentatively scheduled for the last saturday in January 2008 at the Rave in Milwaukee.   it'll be $350 for a spot on the show, and the due date for the $ will be Dec. 1st.  If anyone needs to make arrangements just get a hold of me... 

what you get for the $$:  a 1/2 hour spot on the show (randomly picked time slot), 50 tickets to sell to earn your $ back, comp cds with all the bands involved.

My birthday was killer, but the mosh pits put someone thru a wall, so it was also expensive for me.  The bonfire that ensued was epic and full of chaos as people were pairing off and going into the woods, throwing down wop, and skinny-dipping.  One girl ran her leg into one of the fire rings however, and burned and cut it to the bone, which meant she won a free ride to the emergency room that night to get 16 stitches.  Good times...:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Last weekend we played in Rosendale at an old dilapidated house for Kohler's birthday.  I asked him if we could push down his chimney and he said yes!  I don't think anyone expected that his 10 foot chimney on top a 12 foot roof would even budge, but seconds later we had the mammoth beast screaming onto the driveway below,  smashing in a huge cloud of dust and exploding in a million pieces.  Man i wish i had that on video!

In other big news, Metal Orb Records (ria's label) did a swap with Century Media for 30 Rictus Grin cd's!  What does that mean for you?  It means Ria will have Century Media bands (Arch Enemy, Iced Earth, Children of Bodom, etc etc) for sale cheap at her booth when we come to shows!  It also means our stuff is now for sale thru Century Media!  When we get the links and the cds and stuff we'll let ya know!

Also, Kevin Bottesi (our friend & former guitarist of Rictus Grin 2001-2004) is at Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc with an undetermined brain condition.  Hopefully it it's something simple like too much online gaming and not anything serious.
