Update: 1/1/07
12000 Previews! - The first update of 2007 and we've reached over 12000 previews.
Update: 3/1/07
13000 Plays for Harbourside! - 13000 plays for Harbourside! We keep saying thank you for listening because we're still excited. We promise to bring you some bigger news in our blog diary soon...
Update: 6/1/07
Free Download Ended - Sorry if you missed it, but the free download of 'Sugar Plum Pyxie' has ended. We're replacing the track with a new one (it will be tomorrow now as we're having a few problems uploading). It will be a brand new track, so we'll tell you more as soon as it's online.
Update: 7/1/07
Dance Videos Needed - We have a few friends that are dancers and that has set us thinking. Most of you have said that you like to dance or could create a dance piece for our music. So now we'd like to make a video for one or two of our tracks using some of this dance. We've already spoken to a few of you, who like the idea and would like to be included, so now we're asking if there is anyone else out there that would like to be a part of these videos? We can't offer you any money, only a credit on the video. The videos will be on our myspace page, our website when it's complete and probably on or youtube page. We've also thought about adding them as extras on future CDs - so you'll have a credit on the sleeve artwork if we do. We need digital files of your dance to one of our tracks which can be sent to us over the internet - if you are interested and want to send us a file we can talk about the best way to get them to us later. So, over to anyone that thinks they might want to be included, or someone that you think might want to be involved - get in contact with us.
Track Update: 7/1/2007
Dark Shores - A BRAND NEW TRACK entitled 'Dark Shores'. This is a track that will be on our new CD. At nearly ten and a half minutes we've had to sample it down quite a bit in order to get it uploaded, (myspace will only allow mp3's under 6mb) so the quality isn't perfect. We're working ..ing the other tracks at the moment, so the next CD should be available any time soon. Have a listen and please let us know what you think.
Update: 8/1/07
Over 23000 Plays - This year seems to be starting off very well for us. Today we have reached over 23000 plays.
Update: 19/1/07
Kites and Bicycles has over 4000 Plays - This has seemed to be a popular track with a lot of people. We've had a lot of messages saying how much people like this and that they have added it to their page, so thank you everyone that has added it, but please come back and listen to some new tracks as we add them.
Update: 25/1/07
13000 Profile Views - Thanks to the many of you that keep coming back and those that are telling their friends about us. We're still working on the new CD and hope to have something else new for you to listen too soon, with the CD following closely behind.
Update: 26/1/07
24000 Plays! - Wow! That's nearly 2500 plays a month since we've been on myspace!
Track Update: 4/2/2007
I Cut Off My Doll's Hair And Now She's Bald - This is a track from 'Formica and Cork Tiles' that has been up on myspace before, so we know that some of you will already have heard it. We've had a few requests for it back, so while we're still sorting out the next CD we've put it back for you and it gives our new friends a chance to hear it for the first time.
Update: 4/2/2007
1000 Comments! - We just broke 1000 comments! Thanks to everyone that left one (or more)!
Update: 10/2/2007
Over 25000 Plays and Rhapsody Chart! - We've broken 25000 total plays today, which has made us very happy. We also saw that we were momentarily in the Rhapsody 'Top 100 Electronic Albums' Chart, so if you listened or purchased our album from here then thank you and please go and listen some more as we'd like to be in it again at a much lower (nearer to No.1) number.
We've also been wondering who of you reads our blog updates and other news that we put in here. We have a few people that subscribe to our blog and thought it might be nice to know who else is interested in seeing what we do. We're going to do a few more CD give aways when our new CD is ready and thought we might do it through our blog giving the people that really want one a better chance of winning. So, subscribe, it costs you nothing and you might get a free CD!
Update: 11/2/2007
Over 14000 Profile Views! - The numbers keep going up and we still have smiles on our faces. It's been a very busy weekend for us - we almost have that CD done! We will have a definite date for you very soon!
Update: 17/2/2007
Paintings - We've uploaded a few paintings to the pics section. They may not be to everyones taste, but feel free to have a look and leave some comments. If you like them and would like an original piece of APW art of your own, get in contact and we'll let you know how much it might cost you for your own unique piece.
Update: 19/2/2007
I Cut Off My Dolls Hair... - And Now She's Bald has hit 1000 plays since we put it back on again and seems to be popular with one or two of you, so thank you for your feelings on this track. It's been really interesting to hear how so many of you did just that as a child and what it means to you.
Update: 20/2/2007
26000 Plays! - When we started 'A Pyxie Worm' we never thought there would be that many people out there that might want to listen to the music we were making, so 26000 plays was something a long long way away. We promise that that new CD is only just around the corner now. If you haven't subscribed to our blog and might want the chance to get the new CD for FREE then subscribe before we officially announce 'It's ready!'.
Update: 25/2/2007
Glastonbury - Unfortunately it looks as if we may not be playing Glastonbury. It seems that things are going on on the stage we were originally approached to play on that mean we may not be on. We have fingers crossed that it still may happen, but if not, we'll just have to find somewhere else to play. We'll let you know more as things develop for the good or the bad. :(
Update: 6/3/2007
15000 Profile Views and Other Stuff - We have today reached 15000 profile views (woot!), so thank you all for visiting us.
If you missed our bulletins or don't read all of the blogs, you won't know that you can now get us on download from even more places, Virgin and HMV being just two of them.
Thanks to those of you that sent us your dance videos, we are going to start work on them soon and will let you know when we're nearly done. If you still want to send something to us, you can and we'll see if we can use it this time around, if not, we'll save it for the next stuff we do.
T-shirts are happening, so more news soon.
We are also a bit closer to the fabled new album being finished and will definitely have a release date for you very, very soon. We will be doing a few give aways, but you'll only be eligible to win in a mini competition we're going to run if you are a subscriber to our blog. So subscribe if you want to win!
We'd like to do something with words next - not lyrics - words! Poetry would be good, something that says something but not in an obvious way or something that says different things to different people. We don't do politics, wars, religion or girl meets boy meets girl meets boy and everyone is happy in the end as it's not what we're about. If you listen to our music and it says something to you and you would like to work with us then please get in touch.
ooh! and the new album has a bit more to it - more soon!
Update: 18/3/2007
3000+ Friends and Track of the Day! - Thanks to our 3000+ friends for being friends and listening to our music.
We've just had news from GarageBand.com that we have been picked for 'Track of the Day' for 'I Cut Off My Doll's Hair And Now She's Bald' on Sunday 25th March and so you'll find us on the front page of their website. We're really pleased that we've been chosen as the tracks are chosen because of the reviews that they get on the site from other people. We were also awarded 'Potential Soundtrack' from reviewers on the 12th March and are still climbing up their Electronica chart. If you haven't been to the site, please have a look and check out our reviews (let us know what you think of what's been said too) and have a listen to some other great music by other artists while you're there.

G Whizz on last.FM - We've put our track 'G Whizz' up onto last.FM as a full track preview if you didn't hear it when it was on myspace. There is also a new bit of artwork to go with it in our pics.
UPDATE: 8/4/2007
last.FM player - As we've put G Whizz onto last.FM and have been looking at other things on there, we've created a play list of what's on there so far. This will be updated as soon as the new stuff is out. Oooh, and we our total number of profile views hit over 16000 last week.

UPDATE: 15/4/2007
www.apyxieworm.co.uk - Today we came a little closer to getting our stand-alone website up and running. We've uploaded the basic form of the website and will be adding all the missing bits as quickly as we can. If any of you out there do take a look at our site @:
www.apyxieworm.co.uk we'd be grateful if you could let us know if things are displaying ok or not. We use Macs and don't know what any of this stuff will look like on PCs - so any pointers would be happily received.
UPDATE: 17/4/2007
The covers have now gone up for the new releases! We've been evolving a lot of things to get the two new albums as we want them and part of that has been the covers. If there is one thing that we really love in the Wormery, it's electronic gadgets, and that includes robots. The robot that appears on the covers is handmade by a good friend of ours - Karen (you'll find her in our top friends), who has some other wonderful creations in her pics, so please go and have a look. When this one arrived, we immediately had to change what we had put together and use some picture of this soft robot. It's really what we're about at the moment - robotic electronic music with a softer edge. Ooh, and by the way - we really do promise that it won't be long now!
UPDATE: 26/4/2007
3000! - That's over 3000 plays for I Cut Off My Doll's Hair and Now She's Bald. If you're reading this and haven't yet subscribed to the blog, you have until Saturday to do so if you want to win a new album or two.

UPDATE: 1/5/2007
Happy New Year - Yesterday was the day that we've been on myspace for a whole year! It only seems like yesterday that we started this page. Now Harbourside has 14000 plays, we've had over 17000 visits, we have 3 albums out, we've been interviewed on the radio, played on the radio, asked to play Glastonbury (and then told we're probably on the shortlist), made thousands of new friends, spent far to long messaging when we have other things to do, have our own website (www.apyxieworm.co.uk), our own online CD store, we're on iTunes and about 30 other online stores, we've had our first album reviewed, and so many, many other things have happened! We'd like to say a big thanks to everyone that's supported us over the last year, listened to our music, commented our pics.... we'll stop now as it's starting to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech! But you get the idea - thanks for making the last year a good place for us! Here's to the next... Cheers!
UPDATE: 5/5/2007
29000 Plays! - Woot!
UPDATE: 7/5/2007
Horizontal and Vertical NOW out! - The two new albums are now officially out. They are available on CD from our online store and will be available shortly from most download stores.
UPDATE: 7/5/2007 part 2
The Wormcast - On our website (www.apyxieworm.co.uk) you'll find The Wormcast which you can subscribe to for free downloads. To give you a little taster of our two new albums we've put a mixed version of each on there. In the future we'll be putting more stuff on there, including full free tracks so don't forget to subscribe.
UPDATE: 10/5/2007
For a short time we'll be running a special offer in our online store. For £20 +p&p you can get Horizontal, Vertical and Formica and Cork Tiles. Yep, that's right 3CDs for £20!
UPDATE: 20/5/2007
30000 plays! - 4000 of those for I Cut Off My Doll's Hair... and over 18000 profile views! Lots of numbers in the Wormery this week. I Cut Off My Doll's Hair... also entered round 2 on garageband.com this week too. We'll be removing the Wormcasts from myspace shortly (you can subscribe to these from our website) and there will be 2 full length tracks up in their places.
UPDATE: 28/5/2007
Weekly Update - The two new albums have started to appear in the download stores, so if they are not in the one you use yet, they should be there very soon. Even more new material is already happening in The Wormery, so you'll be getting an update in The Wormcast very soon. It looks as if Glastonbury is not happening this year for us as it's gone quiet from the people that originally asked us to play (never mind, there will be other occasions - WON'T THERE?). Thanks to everyone that has bought one or more of our CDs in the last week or so (it keeps us busy in the evenings after a hard days work making them up to send out to you). We've had lots of messages from people saying how much they liked them, so we're asking if you could add those messages to our blog to give others some insight into what to expect and of course to help in our bid for Worm World Domination! (muhahaha!).
UPDATE: 2/6/2007
T-Shirts and Hoodies - The Suns out and you're wondering what to wear?
Your Pyxie Worm friends are now on hand to sort out your summer wardrobe!
During the day while you're out in the sun you'll need one of their T-Shirts. Available in 4 (yes 4!) different designs and in sizes - small, medium, large and extra large.
When the evening arrives, change into your A PYXIE WORM Hoodie for that extra bit of warmth while you walk down the beach or sit around the camp fire. The same 4 designs and choice of sizes.
Design One has the A PYXIE WORM logo and the line 'Who Are They? Who Cares? We Like Them!'.
Design Two has The Robot images from their new albums.
Design Three has I Cut Off My Doll's Hair And Now She's Bald text and image, while Design Four has the Formica and Cork Tiles Cover design.
You can have a look in our pics to see what they look like or you can go straight to our online store at: www.apyxieworm.co.uk, the only place you can get your hands on them!
UPDATE: 10/6/2007
Faster Than Sound - We've had a quiet week in the Wormery, but yesterday ventured out to Faster Than Sound in Suffolk (myspace/fasterthansounduk). A great evening of art installations and music at the Bentwaters Airbase (some of you might know it from the Space Cadets programme on TV). A good value night out for lovers of alternative arts and culture. There were some great people playing - Hildur Gudnadottir, Mira Calix, Colleen, Plaid, Muziq, Modified Toy orchestra, Murcof - to name but a few of the people we saw (if you don't know any of these people look them up on myspace (they are all on here) as you're missing out on some good music). We also topped 19000 profile visits this week. More news soon and sorry if you've checked our blog for other stuff today, we did add this once but it vanished, so hopefully it's here now.
UPDATE: 18/6/2007
New Wormcast Coming Soon! - Yes, we've been busy at the wormery and a new wormcast is on the horizon. A small snippet of things to come...
We've also now hit over 4000 friends, so 'hi' to anyone new who's reading this. It's sometimes difficult to get back to people now as soon as messages and comments come through, but we'll try and get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks for all your continues support, messages and comments and can we ask - if you have our CDs or even if you've got our music as a download, please leave us a review in our blog as we'd love to hear from you.
UPDATE: 24/6/2007
Now with added music! - Our website: www.apyxieworm.co.uk now has a music player embedded in each of our albums discography pages. This means that you can listen to all of the tracks on all of the albums while you're visiting our site! We have almost sorted out a comments and visitors section too (not there yet - but soon!), so you'll be able to leave messages and comment or ask us questions very, very soon.
Although we didn't make Glastonbury this year (Mrs. APW isn't that fond of mud anyway!) we've made over 5000 plays on 'Doll's Hair' and the Pyxie Worm World Domination is coming on jolly nicely thank you! That promised Wormcast from last week is almost complete and ready to launch too!
One last thing for this update - Would you come and see us play live?
UPDATE: 2/7/2007
French Review - Not much to report on this week. Our friend Rabbit from IndieRockMag has written a review on Horizontal and Vertical which is online now at:
www.indierockmag.com/article4177.html , so grab your phrase books and give it a read. On that, if you can give us a correct translation in English of this review and his review for Formica and Cork Tiles at:
www.indierockmag.com/article2048.html , the first one to come through to us will get some FREE CDs.
UPDATE: 10/7/2007
Comments and Visitors - On the email page of our website you'll now find a little button with the word comments in it (looks a bit ugly at the moment as the code doesn't seem to want to work), click it and you'll go to the comments and visitors page. Leave us a message, tell us what you think of the website, what we should add, anything. We're moderating it, so if you send something that's obscene it won't make it onto the site, it'll just get binned and you'll be blocked!
UPDATE: 23/7/2007
Stuff - Well, over 32,000 plays and well over 20,000 profile views! Loads of new friends! And stuff happening that we can't tell you about just yet!
