VA - Time Out of Joint

the album: Sutekh (Context.fm, Leaf), Sarah Goldfarb (Dumb Unit, Treibstoff), Touane (Persona rec.), Philipe Petit (Bip-Hop), Ian Funk (Stirsound), Mufo (Kompakt, K2) and our two incredible discoveries Antonio Olivieri and Dusty(Intoxik). The first compilation of MicroLabel LTD is a release that bounces between genres and musical styles that artists from around the world have given us. IDM, electronica, dance floor concept, struggling dark techno, minimalism, traditional instruments and sophisticated electronic machines are used in the 8 tracks; very different styles that mysteriously melt together in one stream. "Time Out of Joint" is the first compilation of MicroLabel LTD. the title is taken from a novel by P.K.Dick that was inspired by the Hamlet. Looking for a title for our first release we taught to a strange metronome that runs at his own time, without a joint with other times: the same happens to Ragle Gumm the main character of Dick's novel, he lives in a time that is not the one that should be. Hypochondriac grooves, soft sounds, delay, scratching and dry sounds cohabit in "Time Out of Joint" making this compilation homogeneous and brave like it comes from a time that we do not know, an unthinkable future or a past we have not lived. Naturally we are proud to say that behind our first creature there is Twerk that gives dynamic and volume to each track.

the artist: Sutekh (Context.fm, Leaf), Sarah Goldfarb (Dumb Unit, Treibstoff), Touane (Persona rec.), Philipe Petit (Bip-Hop), Ian Funk (Stirsound), Mufo (Kompakt, K2), Antonio Olivieri and Dusty(Intoxik)

Hi out there...

Forget Wikipedia! On the strength of just three tracks, GLACIALE manages to present itself as a top-notch miniature compendium of everything that is great about minimal.

There's one-tone psycho-electro running on tribal woodblocks, sonar blips and delirious Kubrick-esque choir voices (BENNO BLOME's take on DOMINIO), bone-dry techno feeding from a dominant bassline, horrifically distorted samples and frenzied bleeps (KABELTON's remix of GLACIALE) as well as deep, ambient, sequencer-driven cowbell-trance on the original mix of the title track cooked up by the Spanish minimal maestro himself.

Coming to think of it, there is absolutely nothing marginal whatsoever about this release, the first danceable dictionary in the history of music.

02 GLACIALE
03 GLACIALE [KABELTON REMIX]
04 GLACIALE [IHEIZs GIFT REMIX]

Hi all,

the mind is a terrible thing to taste according to some. To DUSTY, however, that terror is easily offset by the physical pleasures of its sinful fantasies. DOMINIO represents a sinister slide down the staircase of his imagination, all the way into an intoxicating cellar resonating with the echoing vibrations of delayed bass lines, haunting hihat shuffles and surreal superimposed solos for grunding machines.

One half of this futuristically propulsive package is fueled by a phantasmagoric fusion of beligerently bouncing grooves and industrial textures. On the other, premonitious ambient loops are lustfully penetrated by gradually tightening percussion pulses in the subtlest kind of mindfuck imaginable. Forget "Blade" and "Underworld" – this is what vampires really dance to!

For this second release on MicroLabel Dusty show his progressive/trancy side.
The first one [anestesia] bring an oniric/electro mood that let us floating between a concrete and fluffy sound.
Liquida, as the name show, explore deepply the idea of wet/snakey mood, while the last one [solida] fix better the concept of a pounded/massive sound.

hi, out there:

Different compasses pointing in the same direction: On "Various Gauvial", four artists explore the time when day turns to dusk and the plaintive pounding of a bonedry bassline emmits mysterious messages. Minorscene's "Porta Canto" fuses its druggy pulse with a nervewreckingly catchy melody into easily one of this year's most recognisable tracks. Schniner's dream-like "Poto Poto" is the sound of twilighted New York sidestreets metamorphed into a bewildering dance tune. Dusty seagues various sequencer lines into a dense texture of gradually condensing correlations, while Ralf Odermann's dark alien vision of electrodub truly seems to stem from "Another Planet". Nothing's what it seems here – dance your way towards an answer as the needles keep spinning ecstatically

Hi all,

new surprises from the other side: Dusty’s psychotic tribalism make his declared heroes Black Sabbath sound like choir boys and LSD guru Timothy Leary seem like a perfectly adjusted model citizen. Remorselessly arousing electro, ecstatically irresistible groove pulsations, hypnotic bass blurbs and hyper-erotic bleeps from a place where the night is always young and the party never stops.
