They can be in any condition, any size and they can be gloves if that is all you have although I definitely prefer mittens. Include inside the lone mitten this information or a scrap of paper (if you do not do this, I will fabricate this information as part of the piece): 1.) the first name of the person who wore it. 2.) the town/city and country it is being mailed from and 3.) any brief story behind or date of loss (if you can remember). This information will be incorporated into the piece so please remain as anonymous as possible (I will not be using any last names).

If you want to see an image of the final piece/project/sculpture, please include your email address or mailing address, if you want a hard copy of the image.

The Petri Dish will be closing for a while. The new location was temporary and the time there has run up but unforunately I have not found another spot to move into. So as of September 1st the Petri Dish will be online only. Items can be bought at www.thepetridish.ca and www.dives.etsy.com. I will be offering free shipping for the first month to anyone from Myspace that puts in a special code. I will let you know what the code is closer to September. After that I will be arranging a pick up service somewhere in the neighbourhood. You will also be able to find my greeting cards and some other goods at stores around Vancouver. I will be selling at places such as Paper-Ya in Granville Island, The Vancouver Art Gallery and Rath Art Supplies on 8th and Main.

Tonight before you head down to the fireworks stop by the Petri Dish to view the cute works by young artist Triana Segovia. She is selling her artwork and saving her money to buy a horse.

So this Saturday we have an art opening at the Petri Dish for a girl named Triana Segovia. She loves horses and is selling her artwork to raise enough money to buy a horse by the time she is 11 years old! I was able to get her a little bit of press for the event. If you go to www.dabbler.ca you can read a little article on her goal and watch this super cute video. Go check it out. It will make you smile. It's a great way to start off today! 

This is the cutest little thing! It would make a great gift for a crafter/knitter. They are now available at the Petri Dish.
